noob question i know Im currently 2/2/1/3 CH what level do i need to be to name my pets? I dont seem to be able to do this at the moment.

Wow you are far without knowing.

This is kind of confusing at first, so read over carefully.

You need to be able to teach your pet four commands, which you can. For example you want to name it Stun

Teach it Attack, and make the command Stun a

teach it store, and make it Stun b

teach it group, make it Stun c

teach it stay, make it Stun d and it'll rename to Stun, then you can make it's commands back to what you want.

this is what i name my pets guber the first 2nd ect. i go up all the time k so lets get back to naming

k so like say im giong to name my next pet guberV so i alwasy type

GuberV a for attack then u need to do that 4 times so

GuberV st(store

GuberV s(stay or store which u prefur

guberV f(follow

then it will have like a think thing abouce its head that will say guberV or whatever its name is then its best to go back and teach the commands all over again but instead of having to type guberV st ect. u just change the command to st instead of guberV st its alot easier and there name will stay.

i love those vesp thingies and those voritor thingies they all are so vicouse along with those gaping spider thingies

Did they change this recently? I've been trying to name them like I had pre-CH nerf, and it's not taking.

These are bio-engineered pets, btw.

Anyone have these problems?

I just made Novice CH last night and bought a dewback. I'm wondering if there is any way to change its name from dewback, to something of my choise. Thanks for any help.

you need to know 4 commands first.

Then type:

name stay
name follow
name attack
etc

and please search.

I couldn't get a bol to accept its name today no matter what. Was left looking a rightmoron with a newb customer.

Cant use "Leviathan" because it contains the subword "han" (as in Han Solo). You cannot use the names of any characters from Star Wars fiction, even as part of a larger word.

I am grinding my third CH toon, but I haven't noticed any problems in the naming system.

If this helps, it has been known for a very long time that certain names are programmed into the system database for the system not to accept. I don't know any pattern to it (the only obvious one is that just like with player character names, profanity and celebrity names are not allowed), but I found out way back in November of 03' when I tried to name my Giant Crystal Snake "Leviathan". For whatever reason, it did not allow it.

In short, you just can't use certain names for pets. Just the way the game works. Hope that helps. Try another name other than the one you were originally going to use. If after several names it does not work, send in a bug report.
