Yeah I ama new CH. How does one name your pet? Can that be done at only Novice CH? That is, with no Lvl 1 skills? I heard you need 4 commands, start with only 3. And even if you need 4, how do you name it? Newbiest question I ever asked, but hey, there's a time for everything =)

Apparently it's been changed so that you now need 5 commands to name a pet. At leastI can no longer get a name after 4 commands any more.

To name a pet place it's name as teh first word in each of your "spoken" commands. For example:

"Fido you're free."
"Fido sic'em."
"Fido sit."

It's a parrently case sensitive (same capitalization) and punctuation will mess it up as well so no "Fido,"

Actually I've noticed that too. I think this is the case when you try to rename a pet. Any time I try to tame something for the first time, I always get it on the first 4, but when I rename something I get it on the 5th or 6th. Could be wrong tho, I haven't tested it for sure yet.

Well let's hope it's 4... hehe. So then, any suggestions as to what skill to learn first? I'd think learn group, some say you get more xp that way. Others say learn trick, or stay... so suggestions would help. thanks.

In my opinion (I always tell people this), you should go for empathy 1 so you can heal their mind wounds with the tricks. I would almost say go for emp2 after that for another 2 pet slots on your datapad, but that's up to you. Just a thought. Plus with that trick command you can name your pet.

PS: I just tested the name count again and it seems that some commands don't count towards the naming. You will be ok with your basic 4, since it seems to be some of the later commands. Have fun

How do I name pets? I have taming and training 1.

You name it just life droids. You need to teach it 4 commands with it's name preceeding the command.

Example: Bob attack - Bob follow - Bob group - Bob trick1

The above 4 commands would name your pet 'Bob'. Just substitute the name of your choosing in place of 'Bob'.

I am sure the answer is in forums somewhere but I cant seem to find it after reading the 5000000 posts in "FACTS" , Please explain to me what skill I need to name my pet or what I have to do to name my pets? Again Im sorry for asking a question that Im sure has been answered somewhere else......

You need to tech it 4 commands. using it's name

Example : BOB

teach attack - Bob Attack

Teach trick - bob trick

teach store- bob store

teach follow - bob follow

you will then see it's name appear.

How do you name them. I am working on CH and do not find the option on the wheel. I apologize in advance if this is a dumb question. And thank you in advance for any help.

you need to teach the pet at least 5 commands (4 usually works). once they have them learned them go back through and teach them again but this time insert the name you would like (fuzzy). say the know the commands store, follow, trick1, group. the next set of commands would be.

fuzzy store

fuzzy follow

fuzzy trick1

fuzzy group

you should then see the name change. and go back and train the commands the way you would like them (pet won't lose its name).
