Thread: Petition to alter the Creature Handler XP Grind
Ultron69...well said: "The benifits do not equal the grind."
Now here comes Mustafar, where we will get new tames they claim. I have a bad feeling on paying money for an expansion that will give me more skin-clones that will need days of rolling.
Keep on signing...our voice must be heard!

4 million exp for one lvl 70 pet is absurd. what were you thinking SOE?

but i am afraid SOE is to busy building new expansions to gain our money.............

My jedi grind seemed like child's play compared to the challenges of even finding a group who will to take in a CH. Plus then at a minimum most people like to have multiple pets for different situations. ie... 3x23 - 2x35 - a 70 or a couple since some have different uses.Letting us unlock a slot each roll is still one heck ofa grind when you consider 11 slots ona level 70 pet.
Once I completed my jedi template I didn't have to grind anymore, once I completedTKAI didn't have to grind anymore, once I completed FencerI didn't have to grind anymore, architect, chef, dancer, musician, tailor, swordsman, Bio-engineer, Merchant, Pikeman, Pistoleer, Ranger, Smuggler, Bounty Hunter, Carbineer, Combat Medic, Doctor, Rifleman, Shipwrightor Weaponsmith, none of these professions required me to grind any more XP, on the crafting side I had to make a schematic and stick it isa factory and that is as close to grinding any of these other professions above have once completed.
As CHs though we are expected to grind our profession over and over. I just made master creature handler last night and now I have to grind some high level pets
Where when every other profession is completed you are done, you can use the best weapons that your profession offers not some noob CDEF pistol/rifle etc.
Makes no sense to me.....

From level 1 to 70
When you find a pet with a level 1 to 3 skill, it should only take you 1 XP roll to learn its skill. This could make the challange of finding these skills more fun. Easier to find a level 1 skill on a lower level pet and roll it compared to finding a level 3 skill on a high XP level 60+ creature.
Upon 1st roll over of XP, that pet will unlock all its slots and grant you the skill it knows. This will eliminate macro-grinding and make throw away pets more appealing then just wasted time.
The learning phase is leveling your pet to earn skill points. I will except this if its handled correctly. No player should have to grind skill points AND open slot chances per pet. Instead of 1 roll = 1 slot, make it 1 roll = all learnable slots, then require the work-grind to be the phase of getting skill points.
Alot of CHers are not lucky like many others. Also alot of players have families and work in the real world only allowing them a limited open window to loyaly play this game. Random baby finds with specials is not the problem, the problem is what if you spend an hour or two looking for a baby, finally you find it and now you have to grind. Plus what if this is a level 70 pet? 1 to 2 hours (if your lucky) to find and then 1 1/2 hours to roll 350k XP with no unlock of skill or slot. Almost 3 hours of non-macro cheating work. Is SOE trying to tell the average player that having a life is against game laws and that games should no longer be fun? I guess they want everyone to macro-grind!

I haven't used my CH toon since after they implemented the training xp. I may cancel the account.
Unless my full-grown and fully-trained pets become little jedi, the grind is ridiculous.
I feel sorry for Squad Leaders and Rangers. They're next to get Dev "love". I wonder at what cost it will be (in terms of their new grinds)?
I think jedi is the new model for all professions, based on what they're doing. Which is: increase the amount of time people have to play to reach the top, make it as much a chore as possible to keep them from ever getting "to the end" and then being bored. Same level of "power" as any other profession, just 50x longer to get there.
It's just a means to keep people subscribed longer. They know people quit when they no longer have goals or objectives to be met. And for most, finishing a profession is that goal. They do the content along the way, and when they get to the end, they realize they've already done it all.

just want to underline my first site /sign...... I tamed a damn lot of several razors today to get a nice CL 70 trio togehter. When done with this I headed to Tatoine to join a grind group to get a few training points and slots for my pets.
... guess wot happend? tho all 3 cats are nearly same level and roll over xp at nealry same time there weretwo cats that had 6 roll overs until they got an open slot while the thrid cat got a slot with its 2nd rollover and then with every rollover..... so after a time i had one cat with 5 slots and 60 training points while the other both had 60 points but no slot.
.... im sure u know those situations.... I just dont wantto imagine how it would be if such a case would happen with a CL70 pet.... rolling xp 6 times to get one slot???? hell no!!! tbh the training points should be removed totally... let the xp as it is if u want, but give us a slot with every roll over, would be still a big piece of work to do to get a ready skilled high level pet, but hey, we are CHs, we dont want to spent all our time to get one pet skilled,.... we want to fight with several usefull pets!!!
