I'm not optimistic about this having any effect, but you have my vote.

I'll point out that in the new Top 5 Issues thread, I asked for XP adjustment be made a priority and put in the top 5 Issues. Koa presented a pretty good rationale for why the devs are very unlikely to go for it. I started a thread a while backfor ideas on how the xp system might be made more reasonable that got no response: http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=creature_handler&message.id=252268#M252268 Probably too long to read though ) There may not even be a lot of people who care.

I sure hope the xp system does get changed but ain't holding my breath. Still, guess it can't hurt to cross our fingers.

Ive learned to expect nothing but I wish your thoughts would be heard, maybe they should throw in jedi as a final reward......nah I'd throw it back. Either that, or make every profession have a similar grind for every weapon in their inventory, i.e. start with a CDEF rifle and work it up to a T21/Laser for 4million XP. Of course keep in mind that your weapon willwear with use grinding that 4 million , and could be totally uselessby the time you grind it. Not to fear though, you can always grind another one.........

Keep the signatures coming my fellow CHers!

Example tonight: Started fresh with a level 64 Female Choku with a level 2 ability. It takes 346300 XP per roll. Well I only rolled it once tonight due to RL. 1 roll at almost 350k XP grinding and I didn't get a open slot! Nonsense...complete nonsense! Even though I don't plan on keeping this pet, but what if I did and say it only unlocked a slot every 2 rolls. That would be 700000 XP per open slot! Does any CH out there think that is right?

Also, after grinding 340k XP, I think that level 2 skill should be mine. If commanding a pet to attack for all that XP & fight for 1 1/2 hours real time does not have you learn that level 2 skill in game, then we shouldn't be called "Master" of our profession!

Personally I like the grind aspect the simple truth is its far more rewarding to earn something then to have it given to you. When you do earn it you feal very proud of yourself. Its just a bad situation going on in the game now where instant gratification is too common. As a community we have become far too used to 3 hour masteries. Early in the game it took months to master many professions, but we were not angry or bitter we were haveing fun.

From my point of view there are just a few flaws in the system.

1. Level 60 plus pets dropping L2 abilities its cruel and unusual. The L3s are in that area and you got to be mentally challenged to want to grind a level 65 boar wolf for a L2 ability that you can get off a level 36 hurton.

2. Some more level 60 plus creatures period and for that more level 50 plus. There is no good reason that for the L3s you have to live on yavin dathomir or endor. If you can have krayts roaming tat surely you can drop in a few other high level natural games.

3. Some control over tameing even if its a pseudo crafting interface or ripped from the base destruct system. Why do we have to watch this nonsense dang it guy say dont bite me twice and steady once thats the progression to tame this.

In general its not the grind that concerns me thats the easy part. You go to the mo get in a group and spend a week fighting in the end you will have your main stable full. Its spending 4 days tameing to not get one ability you do not have. More level 60 pluses would help that and not haveing them drop L2s.

In my oppinion the entire experience is completely unnecessary. It was done because you need to use wild creature to learn the ability which is based on number of creatures killed.

There was nothing wrong with the old system where pets grow based on time. Its was very realistic as pets age without having to have them run several 100 blocks or chase down several hundred cats. My pets age very lazely as they constantly lie around the houseand occasionally eating.
