Nice that the poster was able to chat with TH a bit. I really don't know what the purpose of posting the entire conversation to these boards was called for tho. I don't think any of us really think that we are ever going to have a great repore with TH, not in the forseeable future. But my feelings are, that abused and ignored as we feel, there is little point to continue fueling the fire other to fire each other up with our indignent protests.
As I have looked over other boards I have come to the conclusion that we are not the "redheaded stepchild" we feel like at times. There are other profesions that need attention more than us, and that everything is being focused on the CR. For the good of the game, I think that the CR is very important, more so than our pets...sigh.
My posts of late have been focused on what I consider to be "quick" or minimal programing fixes, in the hope that they may consider slipping them in to throw us a bone. At this point I think that is all we can hope for in this class.
/shrug... think I'll go hunt for a rare baby I will never see

I think that is self-evident, at least in appearances.
How long are we (as a community) going to carry this anger? Even if the anger may be now hurting our ability to get any improvements?
I do NOT think that TH is or ever will be an advocate of the CH, and after the way the community roughed up the corrs who stopped we may have lost allies there.We need to think about things. If we trash all of the folks who may be able to help improve things (regardless of right/wrong), how will we ever be improved?

I posted this else where but here it is again:
The fact of the matter is this, SWG is so broken now that you should be encouraging people to talk about JTL, you should stop with the secrecy and the non communication and open the doors and say something like, "Folks we really need your help. You all have some great ideas. Some of the coding for those ideas is going to be tough. We were wrong in the Jedi grind, we realize that we have taken Role Playing out of SWG and we would like to put it back. JTL is like this (gives some information that most of us can find over on LucasArts by the way, doesn't seem to bother LucasArts that there is a NDA), Combat Revamp, this is our general Idea on how it should come down. No CR will not make you all even but it will address the great imbalances in the PVP, PVE world right now. GCW is going to be more in effect, here is what we have in mind. Now this is all going to take some time but here is our tentative schedule for release of these things. In between we have hired a team of programmers to deal with bugs, we are setting up a bug forum, these posts will be relayed directly to that team. THis person (name) will be the Bug Dev communicator and will be posting to the Bug Forum.
In addition we are assigning each development team member a specific profession to work on, in the bug and development end of this game. List the professions and names of developers. They will post specifically and only to your forum. If you have not had a response in a certain time, please PM Tiggs or Tyrant and they will look into what the problem is and get back to you. Please remember that developers are people to and unless a bug or issue is an emergency will not be here on the weekend. Thank You SOE"
To me that is how you communicate to a customer base in order to retain and gain back all the integrity that you have lost. I think outside of that kind of outline this game is destined for the file 13. Why? No trust.
Let me put it this way, in every relationship there is a bank, the bank of trust. Now when you begin that relationship the bank has a certain amount of trust deposited into it. Everytime you follow up and do what you say you will do you make a deposit of trust into that account, every time you screw up or lie or fall short you make a withdrawal on that account.
Right now the Trust Account for the SOE Development Team is in the red with many of the forums and many of the customers of this product. The only way the can redeem any form of it is by simply opening up the books and the lines of communication and start talking.
Secrecy is all well and good during a war. But this isn't a war TH, Tiggs etc. this is a game. :You want us to trust you fine, then you start showing yourselves to be worthy of our trust.At this point there is no one we can trust in the SOE world. NIKE said it best, JUST DO IT. I haven't seen any sign of this development team being able to do anything. Your word means squat because you have not followed through on any of your proposed schedules. Don't blame us, it's you guys that have the problem. We want to play thisgame, we just don't want to play this broken and borked game and we don't want to play peekaboo with things like the Combat Revamp andGalactic Civil War, we want truth and yes we can take the truth. So let's have some follow up guys.
ANd yes we do want to be on your side Tiggs it just feels that you are not on ours.
And the fact is we were promised fixes, and we were promised the other combat professions would be brought into line, and we were promised that our tamables would be tamable, and the list goes on and on and on ad nauseum. It is TH's fault. He took on the job of CUSTOMER RELATIONS, I would take that to me relating to customers, not his navel. To this point TH's most unobnoxious comment to the customer base, outside of JEDI, is "wait for the Combat Rebalance". Well I been waiting over a year TH and no COmbat Rebalance.
Reality is that tonite was their golden opportunity to release information on the CR and they blew it. Instead they talked about another game that by all accounts and the way it looks, is nothing more than another bloody grind. SOE does not know how to make a role playing game they seem to think Role playing equals grinding.
Maybe if they went to CoH for awhile or WOW and saw what role playing is they would actually understand the concept of the game. or played KOTOR. I have no desire to grind another profession as a pilot. I have no desire to play another game that looks for end game experience being non existent. When I am done becoming Master whatever, what then? There is no content for people who become masters, there is just more grinding and more of the same.
Someone posted that the quests should give XP or FS XP when you complete them. Quests should draw you into the game experience not something you do to get a badge to get glowie so you can go to Aurila and grind out some more XP so you can become padawan so you can grind your life away so you can become Jedi so you can do what? NOTHING!! That's the problem when you achieve a rank there is nothing left to do. NO CONTENT FOR ROLEPLAYING. Just more grinding.
Well that's my last rant for tonite, and if I am banned by morning fine. Banned equals canceled accounts.

Even this thread has turned into a bash the devs, bash th. A simple thread of a conversation with th and it turns into a bash. Really makes us look good to the community. There is leadership on this board, But I'm sorry to say way to much of it is focused on bashing and making demands. A light hearted thread will die on this forum long before one of the typical bash threads will. I know of many that will not come to this forum anymore, why. A few have taken it upon themselves to fight for we the ch's. This is a good thing. But the manor in which it has been undertaken isn't so hot, name calling, we demand, so and so is a ... This has caused many of the ch's in game to simply give up. not on being a ch, but on the forum. There are more ch's out there than you think, but they aren't on this forum to add there voice. Many think the rants and bashing here are childish, And I for one agree. Why are you posting these insults? Do you think you're going to get th to come here and defend himself. lol, news flash, he doesnt have to. If you were a dev would you waste time to respond to the type of name calling and insults some seem fit to post here? Just because you pay to play does that give you the right to insult people that you do not have a clue of what they're doing or the reasons behind it? so tell me why, it's been a year, the hole has been dug so deep that bannings have started, yet it's getting deeper, so please I really want to know what do you think you're going to get from the negitive posts that keep on flowing.

first off, leadership? the leadership has been banned. as for leadership from the Devs, TH is doing a real good job leading Garva fromhis leash. and what about the past 9 months when it wasnt hostile, and there was constructive debates? as for name calling and the manner of which we communicate...Garva spanking us and giving us a timeout along with TH's ridiculous comments in the convo combine for one big mistake. lastly, you ask if i were TH what would i do? well, i would do something. thats already one step ahead

sad has a point.....although perhaps one which is a bit too blunt. garva bothered to come in here and make numerous posts about how there was no conspiracy, and really, it does seem kind of clear when you combine garva's comments with TH's 'there are no constructive CH's' comment that they really do not want to help very much because this probably is the flamiest forum out there....plus, this flame fest has been going on for months. can't we at least take a small break for A LITTLE BIT to see what will happen? so far, i believe the longest non-flame streak we have is, oh, 20 minutes. how about a REAL break? even just 3 or 4 days will probably yield results.....i can see it now...

TH: You know, your absolutly right garva! Those CH must own all to be able to finally be content, even for just a few days, for waiting for, you know, a dev response which has been given to numerous other proffesions and therefore is obviously due to be given to all proffesions in time!
Tiggs: Yea, these CH really do own for being so patient all of a sudden, in fact, im going to go post there now and give my 'intrducing myself to your proffesion' speech!
garva: Hey, you know what, maybe i'll even un-ban pluto and those other CH, just so we can get some constructiveness done in the time their being patient in!
TH: Great idea garva, in fact, i'll even go release those combat docs, seeing as how there won't be as much flaming going on!
Tiggs: Wow, guess what? since CH seems like a nice, non-flaming group of people all of a sudden, i decided to take a look at the frenzied graul thing, and guess what?

Tiggs: it turns out its a REALLY EASY FIX!! and all becausewe finally had a reason to like those CH so much more. in fact, it's such an easy fix, i can enable it right this very second without having to hotfix or put downtime on anything!
TH: wow, those good old CH will be glad to hear that! it's so nice to help out such a good,non-flaminggroup of people like this....
ok, maybe a bit optimistic, but we have nothing to lose, and everything to gain by letting off for a bit, if you know what i mean

I shall simply say this, I hate to see anyone banned. I've had fun debating with those guys. But I tend to think, say and do things a bit different than your leaders. Therefore, they may be your leaders but not mine.

BWAH HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! thats really funny. thats classic. on the very, very rare occasions that any devs discusses CH's or our forums it will never be on any topic other than if they think our situation is affecting SOE's profit margin. if it does they may do somthing, until then all we will get is "be patient, wait for the combat rebalance" or, in SOE language "keep paying us our $15". please everyone just grow up and realise that we are not important, we are not paying customers. we are not even people. we are $15 a month. no more, no less.

surely not ALL of SOE can be that bad..proportionently, there must be some nice people. and it's not really them worrying about the companies profits....it's them worrying about keeping their jobs. ya know what i mean?

as long as they keep the game in profit there jobs are secure. if they ever do anything to endanger that profit then they have something to worry about.
