Couple of questions:

1. The looted shields I get show something like:

front shield hit points 0.0/1100

rear shield hit points 0.0/1100

What do the 0.0 's mean. They have zero hitpoints? And if so, they cant be repaired, so do I need to get them reversed engineered?

2. My xwing can hold 99000 mass and I am able to only put in one Advanced blaster and the other one Heavy.

Is the Bwing worth getting since it only holds 68000 mass? Most of the Advanced parts are 14k plus mass each.

thanks

1. The shields show 0.0/1100 because they've never been installed, so they have no energy -- e.g. they're drained. Once installed they will charge to 1100/1100.

2. There's more to making a ship effective than just mass allowance. While the X-Wing as an all-purpose fighter can deal more damage with guns, a B-Wing is much harder to hit than the Large-Rear X-Wing is, for example.
The TIE Advanced can only hold 65,000 mass at Tier4, yet is truly an effective fighter (more so than the Oppressor in many ways) in the right hands and the right situation. Finding the right balance of parts ranging from Cert4 to Cert7 for lower-massed ships is essential.

ok not really sure what you were asking but i have an idea

when you unlock all 6 trees and fill them with the xp you will again be visited by the old man

you must defeat mellichae(sp) and that unlocks you to padawaan and your new character slot

this new character is NOT your jedi your original character is

now you can make your 2nd character FS and fill all the trees you want but your 2nd character cannot become jedi

hope this helps

I was afraid you were gong to say that. I am really going to hate having to start this template all over again, and I was just getting used to it. I might give up on all this jedi buisness and keep myself the way I am

I posted looking for Rangers to fill a resource requirement of mine. This thread was locked and I was told this is not the trade forum.

Yes I was aware of where I was posting.

1. I am not selling or buying a specific item. I was looking for business relationships.
2. Not everyone visits the trade forums regularly.
3. The trade forms state “Please use your Galaxy forums to discuss general Star Wars Galaxies items and general server discussion – Jeassa
4. How does my post looking for hunters differ from the Ranger sticky “Rangers for hire”?

So where did I go wrong?

Well, the Ranger for hire list is for finding Rangers on your server to hire by their name ingame. This is not a Trade forum. Thats what the Trade forums are for.

After all the respecing ends everyone will get back to their main profession. No one wants to perform a service when they could be testing other templates or grinding double xp. Just too much flux and bugs right now for regular gameplay.

And frankly Rangers are few and far between. People who have Scout/Ranger abilities do frequent the trade forums. I know I do. Thats the best place(besides the Ranger for Hire list) for you to get the help you need.

Thats why your thread was locked. We get alot of people in here asking for assistance. If everyone did posted their needs here there would be no room for discussion of the profession.

I run the for hire list myself. If you're on wanderhome or gorath send me a shout. On Gorath I'm Gout and on Wanderhome I'm Corpse. I'd be more than happy to work out some kind of deal.

It is the Devs. They are trying to run all of us off through frustration so they can delete our profession at a later date.

No Dev, just tough to find good hunters these days. I read discussions such as this on other boards all the time and nobody makes a big deal of it.

Seven in four weeks? That's not exactly cloging theboard now is it?

Thanks guys

Actuarially you arguments can be used to argue against posting here as well.

"1. I am not selling or buying a specific item. I was looking for business relationships."
That would be like going to the weaponsmith board to look for a good weaponsmith that can make you custom orders. It just is not good forum edicts.

"2. Not everyone visits the trade forums regularly."
The ones that do not visit the trade forums, such as me, are the ones that would not have an interest your business proposal. The ones that would be interested would visit the trade forums. Toughs posting the trade forums would impose on less people.

"3. The trade forms state “Please use your Galaxy forums to discuss general Star Wars Galaxies items and general server discussion – Jeassa"
A business relationship is neither "general Star Wars Galaxies items" nor "general server discussion". Business means value will change hands and that makes it trade.
Besides if you read and followed that sticky on the trade board why not read and follow this one this one on this board?

"4. How does my post looking for hunters differ from the Ranger sticky “Rangers for hire”?"
You read the ranger for hire sticky, and you did not try to contact them first before posting?
The "rangers for hire" is a post made exactly to prevent the need for people from all servers coming here and posting what can only interest the rangers of a specific server.

And you are right 7 in 4 weeks in not much. But remember that is 7 aging the policy of the forums, and with both a sticky for finding rangers and a sticky telling not to post looking for rangers. The posting was the way to do it, and then it would end up clogging up the board. Witch it is against policy, and why it must apply to everyone.

Hello. Im currently helping to decorate the little "complex" for the roleplay guild Im involved in. I respeced into x4xx Merchant to place merchant tents as a little encampment, and I was wondering if someone could clarify about vendors and dropping Merchant skills.

I read the FAQ, but I dont really mind about not being able to sell or list items, what Im concerned about is will these vendors ever go *poof*, or can we use them for decoration indefinately providing we pay the maintenance?

I know it's kind of sucky to respec into Merchant just to place a few vendors and then ask for workarounds to keep them without the skills, but a Trandoshan Slaver Complex wouldnt feel right without a few Wookiees in cells

You need to keep an item on the vendor at all times. After 30 days on the vendor, the item will drop to the stockroom. 30 days after this, the vendor poofs. So you need to re-stock the vendor once per 30 days. The reason for this is that SOE hates you. In order to keep your vendors from poofing, you'll need to keep at least artisan 0-0-3-0 so you can stock the vendor.

There are a couple more questions that need to be answered though. I'm not sure if you can keep paying maintenance on the NPC vendor if you have only artisan business 3. I think you can, but someone else should verify this. Also, I'm not sure if you can re-list items on more than 1 vendor if you have only artisan business 3. Artisans are limited to 1 vendor, but I don't know if that only applies to placing vendors, or re-listing items on them. Again, someone else should verify. Have fun.
