I know whatcah mean, approapriate to who?
I'll believe the fix when I see it, I didn't see it tested any on TC, which means like the one they did before pushing Pub 19 live it hasn't been tested and may not work.
How did you get an orange Clicky?

So, aside from as jubilant as I feel, this question is nagging at me horribly...
Publish 19 was yesterday. They tried a last-minute bugfix prior to it. We have a fix coming tomorrow.
I'm calculating an estimated 2 days to get the fix in for pets (assuming it works okay).
The bug itself was reported *the* day that Pub19 went up on TC.
So.....
I think it still says a LOT of very bad things about this game, when something so heinous ends up Live, when it only took them a day or so to get it right and ready to go out on Live to fix the issue.
Why exactly wasn't this fixed BEFORE it went Live, BEFORE a last minute attempt at a bugfix? If it took a day to push Live, why'd they waste CS's time, their time, and deal with all the aggravation?
This entire situation speaks very poorly of the Devs' communication with TC testers, and we were the unfortunate victims.
Hell, they didn't even acknowledge our Correspondent when they were pleading for some word about it.
Did they think we'd just be like, "Oh, golly - all of my pets are pieces of fluff now! Gee whiz, I'll log in next month and maybe it will be better." I mean, come on - trash someone's game like that and there's gonna be some very angry folks.
This game deserves better.

My exact thoughts as well, mate...
You and I know this isn't the first time and there's no reason to believe that it'll be the last time.
It just shouldn't be that way, but it has been and likely will remain that way until we all disappear on them.
I still hold out hope that they'll actually change their methods based on the poor results that they have managed so far, but each time they fail to do so, I laugh at myself for believing in them.
May the force be with us all.

Well, YAY, we know a fix is coming.
I'll save my doomsaying until after I see if the patch works or not. ![]()
I think That they let this bug threw with publish 19 for a few reasons
A. Some Devs needed Overtime cash for the weekend
B. Maybe one of there mother-in-Laws was in town and they needed an excuse to get of the house
C. If it can't be fixed quickly maybe they can scam some holiday pay
D. Easy way to sneak in a few more nerfs to the proffession we forgot with the CU.
E. Or Creature Handler was just overlookedand ignored as usuall during testing

Well at last something. Nothing we are not due.
But did you notice Tiggs post?
No apology or explaination. Like it came from a machine, a cold machine with a ice-cold heart. Do you hate your job so much or is it you just DESPISE us, the players so much you cannot show us some respect? Ah, you've met her too??
Well I for one am not thanking her because this should have not happened in the first place esp. as they were warned about it. Not from her, she is the cheerleader-mouthpiece for the 'perfect world of SOE' she praised the CU and all the other borked ideas as terrific and help manage the damage control by covering all the outrage at the numerous nerfs from the CU. To me, she is the Vader of SOE as she, like Vader is the icon for an evil empire. I guess she rubbed me the wrong way in Indy. I would say the final sandpaper covered rub was her telling me that if I had complained too much more about the CU that I would have been asked to leave and ALL MY ACCOUNTS PERMANENTLY BANNED.

My pets are all also level 1(0) with 1 health.

Well ... that is her job. That's exactly what community relations is about in this project, it's not about honestly communicating with us to improve the product, it is about spinning the product to put the best possible Marketing face on it and marginalize the critical comments of paying customers who are dissatisfied with content and quality.
Nothing surprising about this, it's right out of Raph's writings on the functions of forums as ways of 'managing' your customers to improve your product's image. If you're laboring under the illusion that the forums exist to help improve the product and gather honest customer input, time to wake up and smell the spiced tea.
