This should be fixed but bannable no way! If someone bought a BE pet and had it stored for month as example in a Zoo which I see all over. Then months later someone reaches MCH and can tame the pet for the first time and does. Great finally can us the pet. It shows up as 1(0) this person paid good money for this pet and now they are told people want them banned for using it? How is this justice. They did nothing to create the bug they did not buy the pet knowing it was bugged. SOE should fix it but no one should be ban for using one. SOE created the problem and the player paid for the pet. I am sick of people screaming ban or people getting ban for a problem SOE created. I would hope they would not use the pet against other players but banned no way! SOE needs to do its job and fix problem not ban people for finding them and using them as long as they do not grieve anyone with the problem. Just my opinion. I am just tired of all these post with aI'm betterthen thou attitude. Direct your anger about bugs where it belongs at SOE.

If you see a master creature handler running around with three blurrgs out at the same time that are all CL1(0) which you know are really CL50 is that an exploit? Do you think the master creature handler knows his creature level total is 150 when the max is 70? Because you can do it and its not been fixed does that mean go ahead and do it?

People complain about master entertainers soloing kryats by getting them stuck on a heavy mineral miner. If you're going to accept one exploit you have to accept them all.

When I was an MCH I owned three blurrgs and a rancor that all were level bugged. I didn't think twice about pulling them out to use them when I was already at my limit. Why? *gasp*... 1) We'd already been nerfed into oblivion and I felt this bug was a sort of compensation for our lack of pet effectiveness. 2) A MCH with one or two pets still takes longer to kill a PVE target than other fighting classes would (can you say "gimped"?). These are the only two reasons I needed to justify my use of a bugged pet. I'd been MCH for a long time and I was tired of being shafted. Did I parade around with three pets showing them off? No, because I could care less what others think about my pets. I did however use these bugged pets to even the playing field a bit and I feel no guilt whatsoever for doing so. I do know of one CH that runs around near the starport once in awhile to show off that he has three full-grown rancors in tow. Like anyone cares. He runs amongst the crowd and around in circles to get everyones' attention. His name is Archor (Intrepid). I haven't seen him in awhile, but I assume he still has the pets. These are the kinds of people that should be the first to get the shaft, if anyone.

My thought is that Riona was banned for using the double slice bug, but there is still a hundred people still using her weapons...not even having a thought that it might or should be a bannable offence to use them.

I use my 0/1 Blurgg until it runs out of vitality with the same thought.

I had a double-slice fora while, didn't even knew that there was anything wrong with it, I think it is the same as with the most of those pets, people simply don't know...

True. There's no way for the layman to tell on the double sliced weapons. A master weaponsmith I know has a theory on why weapons repairs are so problematic, even for a master weaponsmith; it's the devs' way of getting exploited weapons out of the game faster in an indirect manner. It's a shame that those who are NOT using exploited weapons are caught in the the overbroad net that is probably much easier for the devs to cast than an approach with a tighter granularity.

However, an MCH, I would hope would understand the issues involved. While I appreciate the viewpoint that "the heck with this...I'm going to hunt with three rancors, dammit" as a reaction to the bludgeoning of critters in general in publish 5, I personally wouldn't do it. It's just the way I am. It's too bald. Still, I'm not one to lecture; I use the vehicle storage exploit all the time, mainly because I got tired of paying maintenance and then watching it disappear when the storage bug struck.

I try to keep away from exploits and I (always thinking the best of people) think other people do to, most people simply don't know, so I think the DEV's should simply inform the people better...

Glad to see someone admit they use this simple bikeexploit. People complain about exploits like this BE pet bug. I read people screaming about ban the exploiters on all the forums. However as far as I am concerned all the screamers for "ban them"are all hypocrits. I do not knowanyone who does not or has not use the speeder bike bug. Look at all the bikes at starports and shuttles. If they say they do not us it then either they are liars or they do not know of it. I do not hear a single "ban the bike exploiters" I say this over and over. Anyone using an in game bug totheir advantage as long asthey do not grieve anyone should not be banned. We pay a lot of money to play this game (more then any other online game) and it is SOE job to fix bugs not ban people for finding them. If you ever used the speedbike shuttle bug then you have no cause to call for anyone being ban. You should be banned!

I know of the bike exploit and I don't use it. I've paid maintenance on a bike just to watch it go away because of the storage bug. Even so, I don't use the bike exploit. I'm no better than anyone else. My mommy taught me long agotwo wrongs don't make a right.

I completely understand the concept of "I'm gimped so this is my retribution." The problem is people will see you with three blurrgs and just cry "nerf CH" all the louder. You set yourself up to be gimped even harder. In the end you screw the creature handlers that don't exploit.

Spazzers, after the umpteenth storage after paying maintenance and watching it vanish happen, I just tossed in the towel on this one. I exploit early and often on it now. The devs obiviously can't be bothered to plug this hole. Too busy flying their Y wings around to pay attention to the live game, I guess.

You can beat the bike repair bug by immediately storing your vehicle after a repair and calling it back out. Then, if it autostores or won't store later and you pull it back out, the problem does not occur. Since being totally pissed off about 5 times from the bug, I always store after a repair and I've never had the problem again.

(Ok, I'm off topic, so here, I'll get back on....)

As for the bug, if you have a BE bugged pet (0)1 level that you tamed yourself and you know you have the ability to handle that level of pet, you are NOT EXPLOITING. You are merely self-imposing the limits that SOE it too inept to impose themselves on these bugged pets. If you are using the pets to get over your maximum level, I'd like to know what you use them for? Are you using them for combat? Are you using them to help you pull higher level missions from a terminal (a personal favorite)? Or, are you just showing off your herd in front of the starport? If you are using them in combat (e.g. over your maximum level of control), you're exploiting. simple.Everything else, so what.

My problem with SOE is they seem to believe the Ban Stick is the only punishmentworth dealing out(at least that we hear about). The CSR's all are made out to be a bunch of draconian monsters who live to ban people and push them around. SOE has a self-made serious image problem that is largely based on fact. It's hard to improve a negative image that is accurate.

Mine all show up as their proper levels in the datapad, but when a ranger examines them it says level 1 and I still can only call 70 total pet levels at a time...I'm not sure what the controversy is. Rangers are angry that they can't see the proper level on our useless high-level pets?

What is this "bike storage" bug?
