Heres some info from my combat logs. I'm using a CL 46 gnarled rancor for this test and will get the rest of the stats when I log back in (stupid CTD). I'll break this down into PvE and PvP.
PvE against a CL8 gurrect and a CL7 vynock

[Combat] A gnarled rancor (baby) attacks a vynock with Attack using Natural Weapon and hits for 257 points (257 points of kinetic damage).

[Combat] A vynock attacks a gnarled rancor (baby) with Attack using Natural Weapon and hits for 134 points (134 points of kinetic damage). A gnarled rancor (baby)'s armor absorbed 33 points out of 134 possible points of damage.

[Combat] A gnarled rancor (baby) attacks a gurrcat with Attack using Natural Weapon and hits for 257 points (257 points of kinetic damage).

[Combat] A gurrcat attacks a gnarled rancor (baby) with Attack using Natural Weapon and hits for 135 points (135 points of kinetic damage). A gnarled rancor (baby)'s armor absorbed 33 points out of 135 possible points of damage.

PvP against a CL3 player (Hema) and against a CL71 player (Vaaloxx)

[Combat] Hema attacks a gnarled rancor (baby) with Melee Hit using Natural Weapon and misses.

[Combat] A gnarled rancor (baby) attacks Hema with Attack using Natural Weapon and hits for 2440 points (2440 points of kinetic damage).

[Combat] Vaaloxx attacks a gnarled rancor (baby) with Improved Critical Shot using E11 Carbine MarkII and hits for 1578 points (1578 points of energy damage). A gnarled rancor (baby)'s armor absorbed 393 points out of 1578 possible points of damage.

[Combat] A gnarled rancor (baby) attacks Vaaloxx with Attack using Natural Weapon and hits for 54 points (54 points of kinetic damage). Vaaloxx's armor absorbed 26 points out of 54 possible points of damage.

In conclusion somethign is definately not right. More testing later.

The PvP fight seems off, and not off due to game balance but testing methods which i think most players will not understand and assume that "OMG OMG we are broken and nerfed even more! OMG" i strongly beleive a better test would be to take a fully grown pet at its full level 70 and then test again with your level 71 friend. However if that gnarled rancor (baby) was in fact fully grown AND its "new" level on TC is 70 then yes i would say we have a HUGE problem, otherwise i would say continue to test as your doing a great job just caution what you post since we have ALLOT of folks that may not understand not only the profession but the method used and are just itching to spam silly posts.

Thanks joker9125 for all your time and efforts though.

Well, the fact of the matter is, lets face it, in order to get any pet above lvl 50 requires a TON of searching OR a BE pet. We currently have five (5) creatures above lvl 50:

gps 51

mantigrue screecher 55

merek deaths head 56

arachne widow 58

bull rancor 65

Unless they changed the lvls of creatures, the 'easy' ones end at 50. That would still slaughter our lvl 50 pets, and leave us in the open after that.

(ok, just read where the gnarled rancor was lvl 70. so, it looks like the whole creature scale is out of whack then. What will happen to those with Bull Rancs then? will they be able to bring them out?)

Yea Jokers only been master for a short time. I am sure the baby isnt fully grown yet and he said it was a lvl 46 so I'l assume it was a lvl 46 when full grown. unless the creature lvl's have changed wich i hope is not the case.

yup, that is right, took another glance and it is not 70, misread an earlier post, oops. so that leaves us off worse then we are now.

alrighty then, this puts us in a not too good situation then. Well, I will give the new combat system a go, but if it is lookin like the way it is...

It is not that I want to be a super powerful profession, but c'mon, now. They are just stacking too much against me here. At least in the current system, i can bring out two BE pets and go hunting with them and be pretty safe. After the combat upgrade, they would get slaughtered because they are only lvls 33 and 37.

that would be a quick fix for those that have said how a "rancor" might be too strong under the new system..just up all the cl's and keep mch at 70..if in fact the gnarled was 70 in the new system and 46 in the old, then it follows that anything over 46 today, wil be uncallable come may 5...nor more bulls, widows, screechers, rancors, gurrecks, GPS's, rkpl's, blurrgs, WDB's, mag squills..and probably a couple more i can't think of atm...of course this is speculation, but if true we could onlywish the devs kiss us first, before a f****** like that

The pet is fully grown. They grow in a few minutes on TC I assume to allow us to test them properly. Yes I was grouped with the pet at the time which now leads me to think that those numbers are due to a bug on TC that I was not aware of when making this post. I have to go out of town for a few days, howeverI will post more after this weekend when I get back to college.

No pvp reduction anymore it seems but the lvl system considers pets wild creatures. They slaughter a lowe cl player and get slaughtered by a high cl player.

So ... just like now, except there's somebody above Novice that a pet can actually beat?

actually joker posted the pet he used, and his numbers make perfect sense as the gnarled rancor he used was 46 which is 25 level less than his level 71 friend. The same way the gnarled rancor killed his level 3 friend, the level 71 player SHOULD kill the 46 Gnarled Rancor very easily!

Id still like to see a level 70 pet be tested against his level 71 friend OR better yet a 40-45 player against that same 46 gnarled rancor I bet the numbers will look much much better due to the level system, HOWEVER my only concern would then become FOTM if the numbers look to good not to mention "OMG OMG MCH'ers need to be NERFED their pet killed me! OMG" LOL.
