Thread: The Vagabon Creature Handlers of Bria Chronicles
More a case of I fell through a black hole into another galaxy where I found two old characters of mine and set them off on some professions I'd never tried. Hmm yes I did take up being a Twi'lek dancer lol, what a difference from being CH. Anyway she is just a couple of boxes from Master now so I shall certainly pay a visit over to Tarq. Same name if I can manage it.Well, being a glutton for punishment, I have been a MCH for over a year, I decided to play this character again over the weekend. The morning crowd is much nicer than the crowd that I have been dealing with. I met an armorsmith that told me that if he did not have what I wanted on his vendor I would get a free set of the armor of my choice from him. He had what I wanted. I am slowly building up conacts with the morning people.
I have decided to play buffed like every one else. So, I went to the Image Designer Tent to get my stats adjusted. If you have not gone there I recommend it. It was the most fun I had in a long time. I waited 40 minutes while some cute thing had her breast, hair, waist, and hips adjusted. "I mean, like, everyone is blond, I do not want to go there." Lol It was a hoot.. I got to watch a red haired Barbie in the making. Lol Yes, she took 40 minutes, I timed it. From now on ID’s get what ever my alts have for free. I do that now for CH. It kind of freaks them out. I have been known to heal all wounds and buff any CH I come across in the field..
Well, back to the story. I got my jacket and had my stats adjusted. I returned to Dant. I am learning to play the lag if it does not get worse than 30-40 seconds. After that it is just unplayable and I log. I started with Savage Quenkers and moved up to Picket Plains Walkers. I also killed everything that was not a named lair. I understand why they thought that grinding was a good idea. I got bored on all of my alts because they are "done." I am currently looking for a GPS but it is boring.
After a few hours of play I am currently CH 2211 and TKA 0342. That is trying to concentrate on CH XP. I played with different CL and get the most XP from Oracle my wild tamed killer Kaadu. If they are going to dole out CH XP at the same rate as combat XP they should make it worth while. Well, poor Oracle is now 94 of 100. She is taking a beating. Most were lag deaths. I do not group because I learned that she is the one they target. It seems that on Pickets and Quenkers that the 2 point difference is equal to 30-50 points of XP.
I have a question for those that play this server. Are all of the planets this laggy? I know Dant is the worst after Corella but is Dath, Lok, and Yavin this bad? They are my hangouts. I will have to get better but I hope the other planets are not this bad. I assume Endore is fine because there is not much there for the Uber FOTM.
To the Goddess of Bria, Helenore, I miss your mask scent in the house. It always had a floral scent… roses, lilac, and a hint of spice. Mine always smelled like a dead goat that had been in the sun too long. At the very least, I would like to know how you did that. Lol Well, if you decide to play this character, there is a speederbike in your room. I will also leave a set of Ubese to get you started. I can also send you the wp for the Improved Job Markets near by. Let me know and I will get the armor.

Dantooine tends to be pretty bad, but nothing else sticks out in my mind as being particularly laggy (except perhaps Coronet). Any planet can get laggy if there's a lot of PvP going on (like the week or so when the Imperials established a blockade around Cartelis on Corellia). Most of the time it's clear sailing in my experience, though.
My main beef with most of the planets is not so much the lag, but the extremely low spawn rate in the wilderness. It's much moredifficult these days to even get an adult Great Plains Stalker to spawn. And any variety of Corellian gulginaw is like mission impossible.
I miss having a nice big hunting group to get CH xp with though sniff, it's going very slowly. We need to co-ordinate times some time and go on a hunting trip.Well, I picked up another box of CH. I am now 2311. In that same time and concentrating on leveling CH I have made it to 2443 TK. Something is wrong with this picture.
Well, the lag on Dant is not that bad anymore. It seems that when the Janta and Mokk started fighting back and lot of people gave up on the place. With any luck it will become like it was long ago when people never left Corella or Tat. I can always hope. Lol I just like the place.
Some general weirdness went on tonight. My killer Kaduu, Oracle, was incapped by a Thune Mother. She gained 2 vitality points for it. She is now 96/100 instead of 94/100. I tried it again but she did not gain any more vitality. The problem is that there is no way to revive an incapped pet. I hit it with stims use the option to revive from the radial and nothing. She just snores away on the ground. It is not a lag problem. I waited minutes. Anyone else seeing this? I also noticed that Thunes have a problem with harvesting. Half of the ones I killed never gave the harvest option on the radial. It would think about it and then give me the options as if it was already harvested.

I also left her a message on Chilastra if she cares to read her mail. I am also game for the silly battles. I will tame two Butterflies and we can dual with them at 20 paces. Sorry, Gubbers give me the willies with that squishy sound. Lol
Well, I have been leveling on Dant, only because I like the planet a lot. I have not been grinding but when I play the character I go for what gives me the most XP and credits. Since my TK abilities have increased, I have been doing Picket Protectors and Grassland Voritors because they give me the most XP and pay well. I join a group and get buffed than have at them. It was fun starting a character from scratch.. I have still not figured out the Bio for this character but I am working on it. If you are wondering... I do not kill native NPC's unless I am defending myself. It is a rule for me.

Ah you are forgiven So thoughtful of you to think of keeping my bestest shoes and posh frock from getting damaged by those evil Quenkers... Not to mention those even more evil Huurtons. I'm rapidly going off dogs. Those sound ideal times for Helene to come visit. Her dear cousin Mawa should have finished her MasterMusician thing by the weekend so Helene should have lots more free time. I dont know why Mawa took up Dancing and Music as like Helene she has two left feet and goes round drooling over Screechers. Fat lot of dancing she's going to do in Endor forest but brain cells never did run in our family.
Im looking forward immensely to duelling Butterflies he he. Somewhere with lots of people, I want to leave those guys all buffed in full armour gobsmacked as we say over here. And Im looking forward to seeing moreof that strange alterate universe on Chilastra too, loads more clone centers to visit to add to my collections yay. Now if only I can remember my way out of the alleys of Mos Eisley, that place is a nightmare for a daft bat like Helene who has no sense of direction.
Meanwhile through the Black Hole of time and space poor Helene on Starsider still has had no luck with her Screecher but I have a cunning plan, I bumped into a nice guy in another galaxy who has a ranger there... he he.

Well, no luck with the butterflies. I spent 4 hours roaming Corella. It was like a home coming. It has been a long time since I spent any time there. I usually go there to bail out a friend or clear his home/factory/harvesters or to place harvesters for them. When the game was released I lived 3000m south of Coronet, near the mountains at the bottom of the planet. It used to take me 40 minutes to get to the place, if I survived the journey.
Well, I detect an attempt by SOE to encourage new MCH. In my quest for the butterflies, I could have done missions but that takes the sport out of it., I tamed around 20 creatures. I can never remember this many without working the lairs. The number of twins amazed me. For some, like wrixes and canoid hunters they were the rule rather than the exception.
I tamed the following all standing around, I never touched a lair::

The highlight was as I was returning to Coronet for the trip back to Dant feeling like a failure….I saw yet another group of Wirx. As I buzzed by on my bike I notice a Grand Wrix Baby. They have a special place with me. It was one of my first real combat pets. They had light armor and good resistances then. Tamed on the first try. This one is a keeper. I used to use three of them at a time. Those were the days.
Well, Goddess, I may try for those Butterflies later tonight. I have a pad full of creatures at the moment. I am in my room and will probably spend the next hour training them. So, if the room smells a little ripe, forgive me. I have kept the Humbaba, wrix, spat, mottled wrix twins, and the canoid hunter if you want any of them. I also have a huurton just because you mentioned them and a swamp gurrcat that is full grown if you want any of them.
I also met a guy from a group that role plays 24/7. He seems like a nice guy and wanted me to go to Endor with them. That was with no title showing and he invited me. He seems like a nice guy. They do not kill the local natives and generally have fun. I had too much going on in RL to take him up on his offer. I might tomorrow they have a town, sort of, no slots available on Coronet now. They lost their last slot when the mayor was deployed to Iraq.
You know I just counted the pets in my datapad. I have 13 and should only be able to have 12. I wonder if Oracle the Killer Kaadu is not registering. The guy that gave her to me said he had her since mounts were introduced. I wonder if it is another bug or just the simple fact that this plantform can not count reliably. lol
Well, I got to play a bit this weekend. I spent the time bouncing between Dant and Corella. I never knew butterflies were rare. To date I have found one baby and that was a Warrior baby. I also found another Grand Wrix. Which makes the search worth it. I can not even find the missions. I know they are around 4k and did find one mission but that was it. Any help would be appreciated.
This server has some nice people on it. I met a group of Role Players that are really great. Unfortunately, it seems to have more than it’s share of jerks. I look like a newb. I will admit it. I wear Ubese pants, boots, and jacket. I do not have the red composite set of armor that is so poplar. Today, waiting in line for a buff on Dant, I was being abused by some 12 year old. I ignored him and people were reporting him to the CSR. Finally, I used Helene’s big rifle comment and he challenged me to a dual. I show now title but am currently 4444 TKA and 2322 CH. I accepted and KD/Dizzyed him then Unarmed hit him till he was out. Not a smart move challenging people when you are not buffed. I got cheered for it and a free buff.
I had fun today. I did Slinky Voritor Hunter missions. Spent a good bit of the time flopping on my back. Nothing like 4 KD posture change advisaries. I want to know why they can KD/Dizzy me and I can not do the same to them. I also discovered Horned Voritors. Poor Oracle is back to 94/100 I let her chase one of the mostly dead ones but it’s poison got her. I still can not revive an incapped pet. What is up with that?
I will probably play a bit longer tonight. I might go searching for butterflies. I think I will go buy my medium Naboo house and look for a mountain to put it on. I think it is a shame when you concentrate one CH leveling and max out TKA before you get to 2222 CH. Oh well, I guess I should be happy that the CH was not just removed from the game like some of the beta professions were.
To the Goddess, I left you a little something to drink to take the damp chill of the Dant evenings out of the bones. I wish I could share it with you but that is another thread. lol
The Goddess of Bria graced me with her presence tonight. She is more lovely than I remembered. Unfortunately, it was a too brief encounter. The lag on Dant was nasty and we both got booted. I tried to get back in on numerous occasions but I never got past the loading planet screen. Alas, when I finally got back on she was gone.
We discovered a new "feature." I call it lair roulette. We took Pickect Plains Walker missions from the Mining Outpost. When we got there they were not Pickets. I trust the Goddess and her first mission was Lesser Plains Bols. Mine was Savage Quenkers. I do not know what her second mission was because we got dumped. When I finally got back on I did my last mission. It was Seething Bol Crushers. I know for a fact that the two missions I took were for Walkers. Might have been lag related. I know it was bad tonight. I suspect that people have finally figured out how to kill Jantas and Mokks. Lol
Well, the lag is so bad that I might think about chasing butterflies again. Dant is unplayable. It took me two minutes to just get into the Mining Outpost. It was like I hit a wall. The machine ground for two minutes and finally responded to my dismount command. 90 seconds later my toon got off the bike. That is how bad the lag is. To the Yoyo that thinks it is cool to drag Dark Jedi Adepts into town for a big fire fight, knock it off.
Well, I got no CH XP worth talking about. I did get to see the Goddess. So, my night was not a total waste. It was the best night in a long time. I played tank and pet healer. It was fun while it lasted. The mystery lair thing is new to me. I suspect it is SOE trying to get back at the Goddess. If you do not think they have people that read all the forums, well you do not understand business. Are you paranoid when they are really out to get you??? lol
