Well, I just puttered around tonight. I did a few Relic Reaper Lairs but got curious about the Mokk and Janta. Took me a while to figure out Which were hostile and which were not. Sorry, I am slow some times. The Janta’s are the hostile ones. I had no problem doing the lair. I do not usually kill the natives unless attacked. While they are a little tougher, poor Oracle got incapped, they are not that tough. Oracle got it because I forgot that she was even out. I play first person. Poor baby will end up being around 80/100 when I am done. Lol I try to protect her but lag and player senior moments happen.

I have fought the desire to go to the Geo caves and just grind. You have to remember it has been a long time since I leveled a CH. I am getting 575 points per Reaper and get 675 points for the heavy duty Voritors. Yes, it should take a while but I have been playing this toon since 7/1 or there abouts. In that time and with the time invested, I could have leveled 3 or 4 professions. Trust me, I have done it and I am not a Jedi wannabe. The most professions I mastered on one character was 12. Then the grind started and I quit mastering on that character. Heck, I even mastered Image Designer before it was cool. I lost a bet.

Vert, I know you read this. You have to ask why CH is so difficult to master. They are trying to attract new CH’s to the profession. I can see it in the newb spaws. I can never remember it being so easy to get low level creatures as pets. My alt has been MCH since the first week of release. I remember dancing with three Grand Wrixs. I never remember seeing all the twin babies at newb lairs. It can not be because we are now so few that no one is taming them. I could understand that on wild lairs but on mission lairs? What other profession has all of their boxes gain XP at the same rate that combat classes gain combat XP? If I did not know how to game the system I would be getting a lot less XP. Why sic a level 10 pet on a Slinking Voritor? Because you get a lot more XP. Kind of like trying to fight with cdefs for the combat professions. This really has to be addressed if we are not to become a dead, not dying. Profession. I want to see a Rifleman get less XP fighting with a good rifle than he would get with a cdef. Not really, but you get my point. You should try leveling a CH now.

Well, I lied. I said I would probably never master TK. I mastered it tonight thanks to that stupid bug with Titles. It seems SOE decided I should wear the Tera Kasi Expert title. I logged in and got two tells asking for training while I was waiting to be buffed. Is there some kind of thing going on about not wanting competition with TK? In an hour I had enough requests to make master.Heck, I am half way there in AP points for my next master.

I ran into what I think was a lair on top of another lair tonight. I got to my mission and in addition to the Slinking Voritors there were 4 Relic Reapers. I figured it was a random spawn and I got lucky. Well, I killed everything and targeted the lair and it went poof. I sat down and waited and waited… Three minutes later the lair was back and the radar showed a lot of red. I looked around and nothing was there. I waited and waited and targeted the lair again. It poofed again. Gone from radar and all reds with it.

I named my first pet tonight. It is a Canoid Hunter and his name is Pug. He is a level 15 pet and seems to be the sweet spot for what I am hunting. I did some experimenting with different CL pets. I will never understand the ratio for CH XP Killed Pickets and got these results: CL25=300XP, CL12=390CP, CL15=500XP. Now, you know why I can not work out the math for CH XP. Pug has a face even his mother did not care for. Lol

I got enough XP for another level three box. The problem is that I am only 40k away from my next level 4 box. The plus 3 versus plus 5 to CL is a no brainer. Trick 2 would be nice but I think I will hold out and get 2423 for the extra storage and formation commands. Since they reintroduced the bug that they have fixed twice…. I am tired of standing in my pets.

I will be playing again tomorrow after server reboot. Some one should teach SOE how to run machines without having to reboot to clear things. Lol I still can not believe that but I have been in the business for 30 years. So, Goddess, if you want to show up I would not complain. <hint>

Remind me never to play on weekends right after server reboot. I got "Lost Connection" four times. Poor Pug, the second time killed us both. Nothing like being in the midst of Slinking Voritors and have everything stop. I do the Slinking and Horned Voritors for two reasons. First, I do not like them. Second, the Slinking give me 1040 XP and the Horned give me 940. Poor Pug, he has more poison in his system than you can imagine..

I made 2423 today. I also got half way to my next box. This was killing one of the tougher critters on the planet. I see threads from people saying how CH helps them level other combat professions. I can tell you this as MTK I am practically a god on this planet. I have a set of so so Ubese and nothing touches me. Poison/Disease is not a problem. It just makes me kneel for a few seconds after the lair. Same for wounds and everything but BF. Without TK I would never be able to level CH. I get buffed, join a group, and the only danger I face is lag and forgetting to take a **edit** of brandy now and then.

I bumped into a guy at the Mining Outpost that was looking for training in Novice CH. I snagged him and told him where the trainer was. I also gave him the FrankenCupa. He had enough credits for the trip to Coronet. I have checked every city I have run across and have never seen any CH trainers. That should tell you something. If there is a CH trainer on Dant/Bria I would like to know where.

I finally placed my Medium Naboo house. All of my favorite spots were either taken or in a town. I ended up on a mountaintop about 6k west of the Mining outpost. Now, all I have to do is sweet talk an Architect to get it decorated. It is a little tough when you live in the middle of nowhere and it gets pricey. There is also no water around and I will miss fishing just for the heck of it. I do that a lot and destroy the meat. I look at it as catch and release.

Alas, the Goddess did not grace me with her presence. She probably had more pressing concerns on other servers. Oh well, what does an old bald guy expect? She is probably chasing after some big bulky think. Lol I should really start wearing shoes. It would make me look a little more sophisticated. Lol

No, her evil sister Mawa signed up for some dance andmusic lessons and sister Ellie took up Fencer and Rifles. Talking of which I will be on Bria tonight just after 9pm ish my time, 5 EST and for an hour or so shortly. What are the odds that lair roulette returns and or every lair has a pack of evil Huurtons right next to it. Lair roulette was obviously a fun new feature SOE is introducing for our future enjoyment... spice things up a little. Pick a mission and get a pleasant or unpleasant surprise when you get there. My two missions were definitely Pikets when I picked them.

I am so glad Janta's dont count as natives... They hate me. And DB me and my pets at every opportunity they can get. Not to mention those evil Dark Jedi initiate things. Come to think of it most things on Dant hate me sniff. It is revenge for all those Voritors and Huurton pups I dna sampled to death over the months.

Thinks hard. Endor is my favourite planet too. I like Tatooine. And Corellia is home. But I dont reallly mind which one I live on. Lok is creepy though. And Rori reminds me of Scotland when wet and murky.

Well, I was graced with the presence of the Goddess tonight. She could not be more alluring and she is a decent shot. What more could a man ask for? We won’t talk about how my buiffs wore off at the worst time and got her killed. Lol I survived but it was stimm city. Those Relic Reapers can be tough. I have my stats set to play buffed only. Read almost all of mind maxed and health and action minium. I think I have around 600 health and action.

Well, I got that level 3 box before she showed I am now CH 2433. I suspect poor Pug is going to pay the price for my next few boxes. He died when the buffs wore off. Poor guy will end up being like Oracle 90/100. He is ugly as sin and looks like a pig but for the record, he is a Canoid Hunter, not a pig. Ok, he grunts like a pig but he is a Canoid Hunter. Lol The name has a certain elegance. Sounds like a noble creature that is to be feared. Ok, he is a level 15 pig but he holds his own against Slinking Voritors and I like him..

We ran into Mission Roulette again but this time it had a new twist. I guess you could call it Direction Roulette. We took missions to the east and ended up with mystery missions that were one east and one west. I swear there is a SOE guy that just is a sadist and watches me. I would not be surprised to wake up one morning as a Novice Brawler.

The lag was not that bad once you got over the server boundry from the Mining Outpost. The lag there was unbearable in the Outpost. This was without the Yoyo that loves to drag Adepts into town. I suspect that this is what causes the different Roulette problems. It is interesting not knowing what you will be up against. It is a bummer when it is poisonous Voritors.

I started off with the intention of getting another box tonight. I got my buffs and headed out to kill those nasty Slinking Voritors. I did four missions and decided I was bored. I mean ok, it is over 100k of credits and around 38k of XP but it does get boring. Even when I am knocked down and dizzy I am in no danger. I just have to be careful with Pug. Pigs do not duke it out well with them when the boss is doing back flops.

I decided to go on walk about. Just roam the few places I have not been on Dant. There are few. Well, I found the perfect place for me to like. Nice mountain , a small lake in the back and front is on a cliff face that overlooks a small river .The fishing is not too bad. I uprooted the old place, I figured that the Goddess might have a tough time if she wanted to visit. I now live on a mountain overlooking both a river and a lake. I am a happy man. Still have the old place that I share with the Goddess.

I spent the next two hours looking for another type 2 small Naboo house. They have to do something about the vendor thing . I was really surprised that I could not find an architect on Coronet. SOE must have done something to them too. I figure, at this rate, this game will be Jedi only. Heck, they can make their own weapons, come with armor, and have the Dev’s eye. Sort of like TK was a long time ago. I am MTK but I will be the first to admit that I am a PVE god with buffs and armor.

If anyone knows a good architect on Bria, let me know. I need another type two small Naboo house and some serious decorating on my Medium. I miss having friends that I can just put on Admin and send an email to.. But that is on other servers.

Well, I was disgusted with the game and almost quit. When I get that way I take a day off. I did. I spent two and a half hours the next day looking for an architect or a type 2 medium Naboo house on a vendor with no luck, even on Naboo. I got disgusted again because I know that even if I do get to master, there is not a lot do do.

I finally decided that I started this and should finish it. So, I took off after the Voritors again. Poor Pug does not like the Horned ones. The poison gets to him every time. He is only a level 15 Canoid Hunter. A simple and noble beast that has the misfortune of looking like a pig. He held his own against the Slinking Voritors but the Horned got him every time. I hunt voritors because I do not like them. But I do have one in my datapad.

It turned out to be a productive night. I am now CH3433. The last three boxes are going to be really tough. I know that. I suspect before I am done there will not be a Voritor alive on Dant. Yes, I know that I can grind faster with other prey but I am not grinding. I have killed so many Quenkers on other galaxies that I have decided to give them a pass. They are ugly and look like a cross between an armadillo and a rat but I can not find it in me to kill any more of them. I am quickly running out of things to level on. Lol

While flopping on my back or moving between missions, I might have found an architect. He just made master tonight.. I still have not found that small Naboo but he said he will decorate my house. He wanted to experiment on his own Medium first. I told him to experiment on mine because all I needed was a nice bedroom for me and another very nice bedroom for the Goddess. He thinks I am nuts but after a good sized tip, he figured what the hell. He/She is actually a very nice person with a sense of humor.

I may have a nicer place for the Goddess to rest her head. It is also placed in an area that it is not too bad to play out of. If you can stand the lag. I have not complained about that because it is a known problem. What I find very interesting is that I have not had to play the Roulette game. I did join a Solo Group and found that I am not the only one having the problem. It seems to happen when you actually group. The ones complaining about it were people that joined but had 2 or 3 people that were hunting together. So, it seems that with lag, if you really group, you get the Roulette thing. The Goddess and I had the problem with no Solo Group and with one.

Well, I more or less goofed off tonight. I went to Naboo because an Architect assured me he had what I was looking for and he did. I bought one small Naboo and ended up with four in my inventory and a medium. Just like SOE, feast or famine. Lol I suspected that I some how got all of the "Waiting for pickup" items on the vendor. The vendor items decreased by the one that I bought and my inventory only showed the price of one deducted. I sent a tell to the guy and he said he restocked less than an hour ago and did not see any things that people forgot to pick up. Oh well, a bug in my favor for a change. The Goddess can now move up to more spacious chambers if she wishes.

I now have two medium houses and two smalls on my cliff top. My new Architect has finished decorating my house. He is new and nervous but I paid him in advance. He did a decent job. If the Goddess wishes I will have him do her house but my taste is in my mouth. Lol

When I went to Naboo there was a Peko Peko baby near the tent. I do not spend a lot of time on this planet so I have never tamed one. I tamed it and kept it, for now, it must be smart. It learned all the commands on the first try. It is a level 14, I believe, so if the Goddess wants it I have it. I also trained another Voritor and now have a ton of Huurtons. I have Matrons, Stalkers, and a few more. I tame them because they gave the Goddess a hard time. Lol

I made it to about 1/3 of the next box of CH XP just with tame and release. I ran 4 Voritor missions with Pug so he is looking a little tired. I should have kept my mouth shut. I can no longer find the Slinky missions. I spend forever at the terminal. Well, they are 28k a pop and good XP if you can do them. I am ready to wage war on the Mokks. I have been attacked 4 times tonight. Heck, if they are going to wage war on me I might as well get paid for my revenge.

I died today, luckily Pug was fine. I knew I was close on the buffs but got the message you can not Unarmed hit will dead. I had 5 minutes left. I was still standing when it happened but you know lag. I just never knew it lagged the time for buffs.

I went back, after getting buffed to avenge my ignoble death. Surprise, the Slinky Voritoris were now Kungas. I have been playing Mission Roulette all day. They, usually, turn into Mokk. I get 1100 xp for the Shamon and 760 for the rest. It gets too fast and furious for CH xp. They can really beat the crap out of Pug for just standing there. I also have mysteriously maxed out my Mokk faction. I do not kill non hostile NPC’s. I went from zero to max for no reason. I have had this happen on my alts and never did understand it.

Well, if I can find an ID I might just put on the paint and go to war. Now there is a thought, let ID’s make temporary upgrade kits like they have for the bikes. I am sure they are screaming for it. I have not been an ID for a long time. It would be cool.

I ran into a NPC I have never seen. I forget the name but it was something Crystal Hunter. Nasty character, he spawned as I was finishing a Slinky lair. I held my own for a while until he hit me with something that drained my mind entirely. Fast trip to the cloning center. He was gone when I finally got back.

I killed a few more Slinking Voritors and got to within 40K of my next level 4 box. I also put the finishing touches on my house. I guess tomorrow is moving day. I have a Medium Naboo for the Goddess but she is occupied on other servers. I will retain the services of my Architect to decorate for her but will send her an email with his/her name so she can tell him what she wants.

I started today with the intention of getting two more boxes but the goof off in me kicked in. After joining a solo group and getting buffed, I saw a MD spanning for a surveyer. I figured he was looking for Dant Berries and the chances of some one taking him up were slim and none. Well, I have surveying 4 because my alt plays a MCH/MTK hermit prospector. It is also a good way to pay the bills when you are rare hunting. Sink a few harvesters and check them every few days.

I told the guy to send me an email and I would do it for free. To my surprise he wanted gas on Lok and Tat fiberplast. Well, I promised him so I did it. The fiberplast was easy. Found a 92% concentration a very easy to build zone. The Lok gas was tougher and tooke me 45 minutes. I found a 71% finally and for the type of gas that is really good. I am an expert at these things. I used to me MCH and a Master Weaponsmith. It was my original build. That was when pets were actually useful. Supposedly, I now get free buffs. Lol

I bought a BE pet today. Just happened across his shop. It is a level 38 Gurreck it has 60% kinetic but no armor. The rest of the resists are good and the HAM is 12k it was cheap and I had the money. I really do not know why I bought it. My MTK/MCH only uses pets for missions. But I have always had a BE Gurreck.

The game, more or less, behaved today. No Mission Roulette just a lot of lag. I play on Dant so that is expected. I finished off one more level 4 box and now have the mount command. I am actually happy about that. It is useless but tomorrow I may go on a Savage Humbaba hunt. It is my preferred mount. I have a regular Humbaba now.

I am now 3434 CH. There are still Slinking Voritor Hunters on the planet and I still do not like them. So, I am only about a ton of them away from master. I get 1040 per if Pug listens and the lag cooperates. That is still a lot of them but at 28k per lair I will be rich before I am master. I think, when I get the points, I am going to make Vert train me Master. Lol

The Goddess did not grace me with her presence this weekend. I have a Medium Naboo house and an Architect ready for her. She might have moved on. CH is a very frustrating profession and the lag on this server, even on Lok a desolate planet, is bad. I do not blame her. Me, I am just stubborn. Hey, it is why I am still a CH. I am already thinking about what rare to go after first.

I goofed off some tonight and killed some Slinking Voritors. I found a BE that just made master and he made me 10 pets. They are decorations for the house. I told him to use junk DNA and he only charged me 40k. I gave him 100K of meat that was around 600 something PE OQ. That freaked him out.. Hey, I had no use for it. When he figures out how to do it, I might end up with a good team. If I can convince him I am not a dirty old man with evil intent, lol

Well, one house down and another medium to go. The Goddess is off chasing Screechers on her alt and I suspect I will not see her till she finds one. I wish I could help but I am get tired of building MTK’s. It only takes me a day or two to do but I have so many alts that it is tough to keep track. Lol I am having her new medium decorated. That is a frightening thought. The Bols around here will be sniffing furniture for days if she take me up on my offer.

I am 40k away from another level 4 box. The lag was bad again tonight. It seems that people have lost their fear of Mokks and Jantas. I was planing to get another box tonight but I got killed. I was standing there pounding away on the last Slinky of the spawn. I was fine and the Slinky was about to bite the dust. I sent in Pug to get the XP and went from full bars to you are dead in about a second or two. I had two +410 brandies in me at the time. Something spawned on me but I never did see what. What ever it was, it drained a lot of mind. This character is built with all mind and secondaries maxed.

Oh well, it happens. Poor Pug is now 94/100. He is a Canoid Hunter A proud and noble beast…. Ok I am trying to figure out a theme song for him. The first guy that suggest the Green Archers theme goes on my hit list. Lol I am now 3434 and soon to be 4434. All of this was done with a brawler/MTK and the Killer Kaadu, Oracle, and Pug. Yes, I have gone through a ton of Stims. I have used natural creatures for the grind. I had a BE Cupa that I thought would be great but never really used it. I ended up giving it away. Hell, if it was possible, I would fill a house with corn and let Oracle and Pug eat themselves to incapp.

The lag was so bad that I will just take a pass tonight. I guess I should move to another planet but I like the place and have since 7/1/03. Who knows, in the next few years they may move some of the resources from Rori to Dant. Lol

I am now one box away from MCH. I am 4434. I still have a few ap points to get and 140000 of CH points. The app points will be the easy part.

Found out that Bria has more than it's share of idiots. New griefing technique for me. Had a MR shoot up the lair when I attaceckd the fist Slinky. The exact quote was "Die you #$% CH." Well I learned the hard way that I can solo 9 Slinking Voritors. Pug survived. I do not group with my pets so he stood around looking dumb. When I was done I had about half my HAM. I challenged him to a dual but he hopped on his bike and sped off. I set the radar to the max and followed him. I drug every Mokk, Janta, and lizard I could find. When he stopped to do his Bol lair, I brought them all with me. Conceal shot is nice but when you have a ton of aggro on you it does not help. He died and got DB'd. I buzzed to the cloning facility and met him in line for buffs. I said "Well, the CH did not die but you will all night. I intend to follow you and give you repeat withperformances." He went link down and I have him on my list.

I remembered that I was leveling a CH on Radiant before all my friends that used to play moved to Chilastra. I logged the character to see what I had. I was immediately poisoned and DB'd by a combat medic. Seems I forgot I used to be an Overt Rebel and some one built a Imperial town where I loggedl. lol I cloned and took the hit. Which put me in Wafar.

Ok, I will do some missions I am a 1013 CH and have two Cupas a Ronta and a Bantha, no money, and did not get the picture or the Holocron.. I guess SOE figured if you have not played since 7/03... Well, I did enough missions from Wafar to get me to Bestine. It is tough because, for some reason, I am a CH/Taylor on this character. I have a trusty Scout Blaster and a DLT20. I am novice pistoleer. I then did enough missions to pay for the fare to Lok. I got to Lok and figured I would do enough missions to get me to Galactica. I got my head handed to me from Perlecks. So, I walked, Close to 6k of walking. It reminded me of the old days.

Well, poor, broke, and useless. I am going to join BEAST. If for no other reason... I could not get into the Medical Center to rest my feet and sleep. If anyone wants to train my bantha as a mount I would appreciate it .Gods, the thought of leveling yet another CH is too much for me. I guess everyone was off looking for rares.
