Ok guys its time to give Vert a break here.
I mean come on we are talking about SOE here and we all know that it doesnt matter how passonate you are about getting things heard and addressed, just look what happened to the armorsmith correspondant for being 'passionate'.....out the door is what happened.
Thanks for all you do Vert but please let us know what you find out about this.
I aggree that without specials all pets are just shells with different HAM values.

I wanted to add a public thanks to Vert for doing what he does. I think of the criticism here is unfairly harsh and I wanted to counteract that. I appreciate the "passion" that many of us have for CH but it doesn't seem fair to take it out on Vert. Let us know when you find something out about the specials, Vert.

I just want to say...as one of the few Alpha Testers for CH. Vert and the group in there have been very dedicated to the profession. We can only report on what is said that we can report on. We are in there testing just about every night and answering the devs questions as well as giving our feedback (negative and positive). But we have made our voices known....that is all that can be done up to this point. We have to hope for the best and just go from there.
To the folks ripping on Vert right now in this thread, you honestly dont have a clue what is going on behind closed doors/testing. And to be frank I am ashamed and embarrassed to be representing your needs and desires with this testing. If you dont like what comes out of it...Tough, go to a new game! We tried our best to really work hard for this profession and Verts efforts and posts behind closed doors have represented all of your concerns. I gave up my own personal time in real life as well as my time away from my guild on a live server. I stay up late during the week and wake up early on the weekends just to hop on and make sure I report all the bugs I can find and take part in all the testing I can as a Master Creature Handler and as a member of this community.
I say to you...congrats! You have just got me disgusted (the ones in here bitching)
For the specials...it is known and has been reported many times in /bug reports and on the private boards. No answers have come back to us reguarding it.

Would you preffer he posts long 3 or 4 page rants in the public fourms (so you can read it)and probably get banned? Btw I have decided to relax my critisism when I finally see one good, truthful, honest and heartfelt post of his that starts with..."Ok this is what I have found out...." Never seen it, never seen anywhere close to it.
Its probablybecause THEY HAVENT TOLD HIM ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its not his fault that the devs keep him in the dark andwhen he has something he can tell us he will.
I will also accept a "I have asked them 10 times in the last 3 weeks and they still refuse to answer my questions..." post.
Ohh so you DO want him to bugg the devs till they are pissed off enough to either ignore him or replace him. I'm sorry but I simply do not see the point in this and do not think its the best way to do it.
Until then we will have to get our information from the sources we have come to rely on, good solid testing by our tight-knit community. Long live the animal lovers.
Yup thats pretty much the only way alot of professions are getting any info right now so deal with it.

If you dont think vert is doing his job how about you stop trolling and go post in the DAILY bug threads and submit bug reportsin the game as well. Those are wonderfull little things that give us DIRECT communication to the devs.

Hmm after reading this thread and the direction it was heading in, I figured a little humor above might lighten the atmosphere a lil.
After a little thought I decided to come back and post a little explenation of something said above.
It is true Vert did say specials work flawlessly BUT and this is a big BUT. I am responsible for that, you see in a prior thread a couple of weeks ago myself Vert and Meuw got into a little debate about rares. In typical CH fashion lol. we strayed a bit.
Long story short what transpired was I believe a frustrating situation for Vert. Yes he is human lol. I remember telling him in a jovial manner that it was a nice if not held back rant lol.
he replyed in typical starwars fashion and quoted the movies and used forcechoke on me leaving admiral Joker in charge lol.
Believe it or not but that debate left me with more respect for the man, not less. He let his guard down and let the real Vert (The Man) shine through for a few seconds. He ranted as best to his ability given his status as a Cor. I have never felt as close to him in these forums as i did at that moment. He is a true CH.
Look he is the messenger and if the messages aren't being read or are read and tossed into a pile there isnothing he can say or do that will change this.
Most people here should realise by now I am not the happiest ch camper on the forums.
The people who shall we say have personality issues with Vert are not bad people either. As a matter of fact I would go to battle with them by my side any day of the week and twice on Sundays. I see a pattern growing sometimes and I also see people with delusions of grandure lol. What must be asked is if Vert was to be replaced who here would take it? Not me thats for sure.
Remember the replacement would be a happy, happy dev worshiper, looking for a joblol. when a nuetral position of some kind is the best balance for a Cor.
Does Vert do his Job? Yes
Can he do more? unkown
Have I ever wished he would stand up and tell whats going and get banned for it? Yes I am guilty lol. In my own frustration I would like to see everyone in the forums Cor's, dev's ... everyone stand up and say YO MAN WTH you doing lol.
Is it practical? No
In the end "it is what it is" we stand together or fall together.
Hope this helps some folks. Hope others understand.

Ok so if your quiting why do you care what kind of job vert does? Constructive critisim is one thing but outright flaming by calling someone worthless is uncalled for.

Again I think its great that both you and Tivo have access to the Cor fourm. Because I know people as smart as yourselves wouldnt say things like that without all the info. Because we all know that making definitative statements without all the facts is a pretty dumb thing to do.

Excuses and reasons are two completely different things. I at least try to understand the reasons for theC/U/R/B and why vert has no info to give us. The reason the devs are pushing out the C/U/R/B like this is because they are being forced to. The marketing department is pretty much forcing them to push it live and if they want to keep their jobs they are going to do what the pencil pushers say. And the reason Vert isnt telling us anything is because the devs havent told him anything. Would you rather he start making up answers?

You know I think a number of chs in this room do not know how good a correspondent Vert is. Yeah I know its been a long brutal haul of outright neglect, but vert has stormed it with a smile and a good attitude about the situation.
Alot of correspondents on the whole are deadbeats, or worse just feed the frenzy with things like insane conjectures, or worse angleing their communities anxieties by blameing another profession. Stuff like yeah I know such and such is not working as intended blame that on such and such profession. Its their fault.
Oh yeah I have heard this song and dance before. My favorite one I heard was a correspondent saying that its all the TKMs fault that combat is so crazy and they should remove all evasions. Now not a fan of TKs myself, and yes their evasions were very unbalanced, but the truth is a tank needs some form of this unlike ranged fighters who can kite enemies a tank has to walk up and volantarily get thrashed.
What I like about vert. He is a realist he dosent come in saying lets do something to totally unbalance the game in our favor. Blame other professions for the ch problems. Blame the community at large. Play mind games with the community. He thinks of the game as a whole, and actually wants the profession to be fair to chs and the rest of the community. Vert actually shows up for work. Some forums are so dead that you never even see the correspondent.
All in all vert does what he is supposed to. He relays feedback. Posts provocative threads. Tries to keep us in the loop, and tries to keep us engaged. Short and sweet he does a good job, and shame on anyone who says otherwise. Its not his fault that the ch community got nerfed or that it got neglected. Its not his fault if the devs pay very little to no attention. Lets not shoot the messenger.
Vert keep up the good work no matter what a few nitwits think.
