Vert, what I have been seeing is in red, this on spacebeta1 where I've been spending most of my SWG time the last week or so.

Okay, let me make sure I have all the facts sorted out...
(A) Lairs are...
- Starting out yellow on the radar, but turn red if you attack them?
- Starting out yellow on the radar, but turn red if you attack the MOBs around them?
- Always red on the radar, whether you've attackedanything or not?
(B) Baby animals are...
- Starting out yellow on the radar, but turn red if you attack them?
- Starting out yellow on the radar, but turn red if you get a critical taming failure?
- Starting out yellow on the radar, but turn red if you attack their lair?
- Starting out yellow on the radar, but turn red if you attack nearby allied creatures?
- Always red on the radar, whether you've attackedanything ornot?

I thought there was something odd night before last when I was Piket murdering on Dant. Im sure the male pikets were red when I got there instead of their normal yellow. Im going to go back and double check as it makes more sense they turn red after I attack something.

sorry vert been busy today ah not sure if my other post's confused you
i was using my non ch character whos tka
after i hit a lair for a spawn i was locked onto the lair, I culdn't clear my tab and target another creature although it did seem to target, the only dam i was doing was to the lair, I had to move away from it before the creatures i were targetting would actually stick. this might just be a melee glitch not sure
also the times i would hit peace on a lair and it would work adults and babies (pickets) were spawning red and if i was close they would agro on me. sio is right if u runaway and leave for a bit the yellow targets will return.
red agro only after hitting taget,
everything was red agro after hitting a lair and peacing out,
lairs seem to keep you locked onto them 50% of the time (least thats what happened yesterday)
on my ch char late last night
I noticed this doin a mokk mission last night, while destroying the mokk camp (lair) i was switching guns and although i spammed strafe shot the lair was destroyed before the switch happenend, and when the lair blew up i was now unarmed. it dumped the switch gun but left me unarmed. its not a major glitch but it never happenned before and could be trouble in a place like dath.
as you know in the command or action box switching weapons willnot happen untill the action list reaches that comand
if I have time tonight il try taming stuff flushed froma lair and see how it goes

A. Lairs turn red after u begin attacking and if you wait for about 5 min the lair does turn back to yellow on the map.The lair turns red when u start to attack the creaturesregardless of how far away you are from the lair.
B. Babies
They do start off as yelloweven after spawned when the lair turns red. The babiesturn red when attacked and also turn red if attack a differentcreature in the mob makingthe baby aggro on you as well.If the baby attacks you at all itturns red butonce u peace away from it can still go after and tame.
Thank youVert for reading this and passing this on to the devs.

Thanks for the clarifications. So this doesn't seem to actually be changing existingAI behavior or otherwise negatively impacting gameplay... it'sstrictly a visual issue?
The whole "getting locked into attacking the lair" incident you described, jopenack, sounds pretty bizarre. This happens every time you attack any lair? And are other people experiencing this?

actually vert from what i saw with my tka character and what egnima wrote it seems to be an issue that needs attention. read egnima's post above he said it well lol
and as I sad before i gotlocked onto the lair and wasnt able to target a new creature no matter what i did, peace, clear ... even though it looked as i changed target after hitting clear it didnt take effect untill i ran away out of the lairs range i was locked onto it for a min.
it happened about 50% of the time yesterday. havent tried it today
i think its a melee close range issue. since my ch/rifleman didnt seem to have a problem other than color's

I have already tamed a couple of creatures since the new publish. One was a rhoa kwi pack leader that I'm pretty sure came out of the spawn yellow, but quickly turned red as it aggroed on me.
I'm TKM, so even with no weapon equipped, I still did it some damage before I could hop on my bike and start letting it chase me over hill and dale on Dath.
After I finally got it to drop aggro, he came along on the second try.
I've also been doing a lot of piket protector lairs, and yes, the lair turns red when attacked, but the only thing that comes out a red dot is the fierce piket protector, the female longhorn pikets still come out yellow.
Hope this helps

I truly do not understand why the lairs are turning red. The lair can not attack or argo the player. Its very confusing for players, and more so to a CH as we watch are radar like bats. If there is no reason to have the lair turn red then SOE should go back to keeping it neutral Yellow. I have no problem with the creatures (adults turning red) makes sense that if attacked they will now argo. But as for the babies that turn red on failed attemps or even been attacked does cause many problems. I try my best to group up and have fun with the game, but if a baby turns red many of my friends and group mates will attack it with out question. Old habits hard to break. If its red its dead is what my master TKA hunting partner will say.
So please, if possiable take the lairs back to yellow and keep the babies yellow ALWAYS.

Thanks for the time

It sounds like the TEF system for creatures became visible (like factioned TEF).
When you attack the lair the creatures will attack you, but now the TEF lasts beyond quick attack and extends to new spawns of creatures. This is not good for tameing.
I have been grinding CH again and finding the same issues, creatures that were not social now are and when I attack the creature the lair turns red also. This only applies to lairs.
Random creature spawns seem to behave normally.

I haven't seen it extend to the regenerative spawns of a lair. The spawns still react normally, not immediately aware of your presence, ignorant to it if you have Mask Scent engaged. I was on Starsider with my Wookie just last night and this did not happen to me, i was still able to tame a baby from a lair.

No, my experience in JTL beta is that the lair's red status doesn't influence the actions of the spawns; they seem to behave normally toward you, not like you've got a TEF. Futhermore, was chased by a yellow dot for quite a ways on Dath yesterday (a craggy bolma baby) and even though it was aggro to me, it was yellow, but aggro NOT due to a failed tame, but due to my maskscent running out and the adults socially agrroing on me.
The lair will stay red to you for roughly five minutes. I was able to initiate the tame on the craggy bolma baby even though the lair was red to me.
