/ui action targetSelf;

/ui action cycleTargetOutward;

/tellpet attack;

/pause 10;

/attack;

/pause 20;

/ui action toolbarSlot##

to trouble shoot this, use each command independant of all others (except for the toolbarSlot##).

if you type "/ui action targetSelf" you should become the target.

If you then type "/ui action cycleTargetOutward" the next closest creature should be targeted.

If you type "/tellpet attack" (or your custom attack command) your pet should go and attack the target.

This macro is exactly whatI am running. no typos, no syntax errors. If it does not work for you, I do not know why. Sorry...

Wow thanks for the help guys.

I never honestly thought about the capitalization as an issue, however after all the coding I do I should have /bonk self.

The multiple letter /tellpet thing I would have never figured out /boogle, I couldnt understand why I could get him to guard me but I could never "/tellpet a"to get him to attack.

The recursing is still weirding me out as I can get my training macro to recurse fine. I must have missed a capitalization on it.

AbakCH I agree with the training the pet thing the million and one clicks has convinced me to xp CH through combat instead. Im actually not looking to master CH I just want to raise it up enough with the 35 skill points I will have left after mastering commando to give me an edge as well as a decent level mount. Besides a kick butt dewback mount is too cool.

<--gets misty eyed thinking about my stormtrooper on dewback toy from 1978.

BTW is there a way to edit your posts I cant seem to spell for the life of me?

Oh, being able to ride a full sized dew around is one reason why I'll never give up CH. I can't tell you how many times I've been approached by someone asking where they can get a cool mount like my dew. Then I pull out the savage humbaba and they go into the boggle mode.

You also seemed to have problems get the macro to loop. A real easy way is to have the final line as /macro (name of macro.) I used to use the /ui action commands also but moving the buttons, etc. got annoying. You can also just type /macro (name of macro) and it will call the macro without having to place it on a button. I used this to begin my dancing macro a few weeks ago.

Good luck.

There's no way to edit your posts until you become a Community Veteran, which is basically just time based from when you registered. You've got a few months before you can

Why did they do it that way? No freaking clue...

Something I have noticed that may have been evident to others (this may change with publish 7).

The macro works best with a lvl2 through lvl12 (or so). Once your primary pet gets past that level, the XP drops significantly. So at 2,2,1,3 CH, I bought a lvl35 shear mite from a BE. I could not tame it . So I asked a MCH to tame it and I was able to call it, train it, and use it (this is the part that may change in 7). With my level 3 shear mite, I am back to earning 112XP per AFK kill.

I would prefer to hunt with my pets to get the XP... but I would also prefer to be MCH in 4 or 5 days than 2 weeks.

Thanks for all the help on this guys. I was able to finally get the macro runing right last night turns out I didnt have it /ui action toolbarSlotxx I had it /ui action toolbarSlotx becuase it was on number 4 I never thought to use 04 /lol. For some reason the cycle target outwards doesnt always kick in. I can be standing next to durni and it wont target it. The macro will run and it will show my pet with a question mark above his head cause he cant figure out why I keep telling him to attack me .

I have found that this is a pretty fast way to make CH xps and unarmed xps as well, just add a /follow; after the cycle target line. This has helped me boost my way to almost having commando as well, only need to finish up unarmed 4 now. I found a pretty nice spot with 4 creatures that are 466 unarmed 46 combat and 234 CH xps to stand at and run this. The xp just flies by now.

Cycle target outwards seems to only work for creatures that are in your field of view (or would be if not for intervening terrain and obstacles. So a creature can be right behind you but not get targetted. It seems to help if you max your Field Of View setting in your options.

Um sorry guys but (my oponion only here) marcoing a profession takes all the fun outta getting it.

Welcome to SWG, Star Wars Grinding. Until the FS system is changed, grinding is the method of play. Most people doing CH right now don't care about fun, they want to just get it done.

I can confirm the field of view issue--you must be able to see the target onscreen for the /cycleTarget command to work. Increasing your field of view DOES help. Makes things look wonky, but works.

Originally, I was against AFK macroing, but after getting 2381 pistol experience and 1 creature handling experience point, I changed my mind.
