I think your macro is exactly what we used. Can't remember if there was a trick for looting/harvesting or if it was just added to the end:
ui action targetSelf;
/ui action cycleTargetOutward;
/tellpet attack;
/pause 10;
/attack;
/pause 10;
/loot or /harvest hide
/ui action toolbarSlot## - for the loop
I used to use these when I was levelling CH. I can't blame you for wanting to multi-task. I used it on meatlumps and swoopers on Corellia while I was doing practice builds of hundreds of armor assemblies when I was grinding. Macros are your friend.
