Thread: Has something happened to make people NOT want +25 taming cloths?

Makes me nostalgic for the days when I had to camp the Nightsister/Singing Mountain battlefield to slowly collect enough milk for one tissue...course my pets worked back then so I could do that. Oh well...I got all my enhanced taming clothing made before the milk patch for 10,000 credits. Maybe it's the prices?

Taming clothes allow non wookies to not only tame and control rare pets such as the Bull Rancor they ALSO increase your chance of taming your run of the mill creatures...

As a MCH I can sometimes fail 5 or 6 times before taming something as simple as an archane warrior, now I usually get it on my first or 2nd try...

This could also be very usefull for non master CH.. It won't allow you to call higher level creatures **but** it will let you tame your pets a little faster...

Some may argue that pet taming is dead.. and for some CH it is... but there are still a lot of people who still tame for "trophy" purposes and/or they refuse to buy BE pets...

As far as the A$$HAT who is trying to hyjack the thread with your wal-mart price active tran tissue, GO MAKE YOUR OWN THREAD DOOD.

I respect all BE right to charge insanely high or low prices on their own threads... so you go with your bad self and your 5k mods... more power to you... but I charge 10k for a stand alone active tran modnot because it cost me that much BUT because the time it takes to get decent milk and reptile meat takes away from me running missions, hunting with friends, collecting DNA, and making other in-demand tissue mods...

If you choose to, IMHO, cut your self short in an economy where it only take a player5-6 mins to solo one, for example, easy as all hell picket liar and make a cool 10-12k then you go right ahead. Charging a customer what it takes him/her 5-6mins to do to compensate my time as a MBE seems more then fair to me... especially when you take into account that those clothes will likely last that CH his ENTIRE career...

Sorry, Dap, I didn't explain fully. If you purchase a BE pet above CL60ish that was built with an aggressive/vicious skin (kimos, rancs, there's a whole list out there), then you won't be able to tame the pet because your tame vicious score isn't high enough. The creature will just sit as a deed in your inventory. With the tamer clothing, you can tame it effectively from the deed. Once you've done this once, I believe, you don't need to keep the clothing on to control it (because you've got the CL capacity, you just don't have the tame vicious points needed).

Frankly, this isn't worth the gouge-pricing that the clothing was going for pre-patch. These days, the resource gathering is much easier (go find some snakes on Lok or Yavin for the reptile, and there are some large creatures out there giving out big ol' vats of milk--fambaa, anyone?). I'd expect the price to migrate down rather quickly.

And as I said, thats your right bud. Do as you want... just do it on your own thread.

The way I read Knocky post was:

I'm selling the +25 medical clothing fine but the +25 taming isnt moving... I'm selling it at a reasonable price (25K ready to wear...likely the same price as the medical clothes) why aren't CH seeming to want it..

IE Is there something wrong with it? Is it bugged perhaps... Is there some deeper reason he was not seeing...

He didnt say,"Price check please on my BE clothes... and by the way, fellow BE, feel free to hyjack the thread and use it to promote yourself and your Wal-Mart prices"

I felt that what you did was RUDE... Maybe he didnt find it rude, but it's bad manners nevertheless.

25k does sound a tad steep with the new availabilty of milk.

I certainly still want them, though. I've been searching high and low on Gorath. Not sure If I'd go up to 25k per piece, but I very well might.

+25 mean two tissues were used and, the way I understood it, Knocky already had placed it in clothes (likely stripped slacks).

25k for **any**BE clothes is quite the norm on my server of Bria...

Charging less is fine... All Wal-Mart BE do is make more work for themselves LoL

Once they sell out all their crates of their active trans, that took some time and effort to gather the milk and meat by hand, I then sell my stock for my price and make a better profit for my time

Not that I'm greedy, I feel I charge a reasonable price, but I do work hard as a BE and like to feel appreciated

Sooner or later the Wal-Mart BE get burned out and it's buh bye

So, I have NO problem with people selling cheap... just do it in your own thread

I dont know the norm on BE clothes on Gorath butI would encourage you to use Taylors and Bio-Engineers with a good standing and rep.. you might pay a little more but if you think about it, what's two picket missions? 10-12 mins of yourtime?

Be nice to your friendly BEs and Taylors... It pays in the end as you'll have a realiable, long term source for all your BE/Tayloring needs when the Wal-Marters go outa business in search of their next holo profession(s)

Templar, ironically the system works exactly the opposite of what you said.

As a BE dead, you can tame aggressive creatures above what your +vicious allows. (It still has to be within your CL.) Once it grows larger than what your ability to tame it would be, you can no longer call (control) it. For a master, non-wookiee, CL 63 is our limit. With the BE clothes, we can call these pets without an issue.

For the poster that asked if the clothes are useful, yes they are. In comparision I regularly tame CL 44-50 creatures in one or two attempts where my friend without clothes would take ten attempts and suffer multiple aggros. The difference is pretty amazing on aggressive creatures. (Non-aggressives your bonus is already high.)

For non-masters it lets novices tame aggressives, and boosts their overall chances of successful tames to a greater extent than masters will see.

i sell cheap to acquantances free to friends and high to people i dont know.

some pets i price to sell just because i found them while doing something else. i charge minimum of 10k for any pet durni to rancor. so i understand the walmart plan and the dont pester me unless your serious plan.

i have had other CH actually send me hate tells for selling rancors for 10k and CL10 pets for 10k. if i have one in stock i will probably charge 10k if you ask me to get one special for you i will probably charge 50-60k. its all about inconviencing me and what i have to do to supply you personally with something special.

so if a BE charges far more than what the tissues are worth they are probably doing it because they do not want to be turned into a warehouse wholesaler and a slave to the masses.
