Thread: Has something happened to make people NOT want +25 taming cloths?

Currently I am selling mostly +25 medical clothing. Relatively few of my +25 Taming clothing are being bought.

I am only asking 25000 for them, hell 2 piket missions pay for them. I advertise them on the Trade forum.

What is going on my fellow CHers? Did the Devs break the taming enansements now that milk flows freely?

+25 to taming Vicious creatures alone should be enough of a selling point on them. You only get +35 in the boxestill you reach Master CH

Oh well. Perhaps they will pick up again.

Exactly. Anything that can't be tamed with just normal skill mods probably isn't worth the effort (getting taming clothing, actually finding them, actually taming them)or the reward (the rares aren't nearly as powerful as they should be).

There arethree reasons for this. First, they have killed every way a CH had to make money. We can not do those two Picket missions because we are so broken that we spend all our time chasing run away pets.

Second, taming has been turned into a useless skill. Why invest any money in it. Just buy a better pet from a BE with what money we do have.

Third, CH's are either giving their stuff away and quitting in droves or just surrendering the skill and moving to something else.

25,000? Considering I can get the milk to make four tissues from one Sharnaff, kill one or two critters for the animal components and five minutes of sampling for the rest. It isn't worth 25k, sorry.

That's assuming there were any creature handlers left to buy them.... It's ironic that the patch that finally brings us milk in great quantities cripples us so badly that those of us left can't use our pets.

I think the only practical benefit right now of tamer clothing is the ability to call and control CL 63(?)+ vicious pets. Wookiees are a little better off, but not by much. So, it looks like we're really only seeing a benefit for MCHs, and many of them prefer duets or trios of creatures versus the one massive mega-pet.

On a side note, I've gone on hiatus as a CH due to Patch 6. How much attention does a problem need before it gets fixed? Seems pretty simple. The devs changed something in Patch 6 from the previous build. Whatever behaviors or calculations they altered in regards to creatures/pets, CHANGE IT BACK. Is that so difficult? Is the mythical "combat rebalance" hinge so vitally on that change in animal behavior that the devs won't make the change? Ugh. I think I'm going to have a creature sale for CHs on Kettemoor just to try to keep spirits up 'til the devs decide to step away from the SE and fix the world they've already made.

I have not seen clothing that adds a bonus to someones Creature Level, those would probably sell way more than ones that add to taming skill mods. A master CH, wookie or not, can call up to 3 pets whose CL does not go above 70. To tame the wild babies, this is where clothes of this caliber come into play, but really, now a days BE's can craft you pets way better than you could possibly tame in the wild if your just in it for the combat portion [though collectors definately will want to tame those relatively rare ones that you need the added mods for].
