I have a job and a family. i play on my spare time and the pet grind is killing the MCH experience for me. using my pets day after day for Piket genoside to make them worth a darn is BORING as hell and I aint doing it any more.


4,000,000+ xp per pet is nuts. I am so sick i started an alt on a different server but will likely quit the game all together. I am not here to be a Jedi. MCH or bust... so far is bust

I do like some effort/reward but the effort in this case is so far off from the reward it is stupid. I'm not a grinder, I'm not a macro grinder. I do entertainer ATK and I do my MR/MCH ATK. I pay to play a game not automate a work task. SOE put the investment/reward in balance. Return pets to growing with time and make one XP roll unlock all a pets slots. Don't turn each pet into a jedi grind.

The grind is way more than I first expected.I tested this system on TC-Bria and saw the positives.I defended it against those that raised the initial complaints of the grind involved.I have a right to change my mind.


I tried AFK macro grind (not grouping with a CL 1 player) once and felt it was stupid. This is not what I am paying for.So I have been grinding specials as I play. I play fairly regularly, putting in about 20-30 hours a week (yes, I often ignore my family to play).Between finding the pets and grinding their abilites, I have only half the skills.I am only missing one or two L1 skills and I have 6 or 7 L2 skills learned. I have not learned any L3 skills yet. And yes I have been trading pets, I have spent much more time grinding then hunting babies.


The difference in time in takes to learn L1 and L2 or L3 skills is excessive. Especially when you are finding the L2 skills on level 60+ creatures like I usually do.


An unintended affect of this grind, I have lost any sense of bonding I had with my pets. The grind has effectively removed the sense of roleplay for me in thegame. It reinforces that each creature is just a bag around a set of stats that is not very different from another creature.


For those that say, forget the grind, let another MCH teach your pets. I would like to have taught mybeloved BEgurreck his skills myself, as I am his master. But alas, as I was grinding him to get his training points he has taken significant loss in vitality. I cannot help but feel he will not last long enough to be fully trained before I have to retire him.


It would be nice to have learned these skills in a timely manner that would allow us to get back to (role)playing.

I finaly lost it and droped MCH

I have a RL! having to grind a pets template after my template before i was effective in PvP was too much. The pet grind is mind screwing boring crap placed on top of the boring grind to master CH


Good luck WarWidow! i hope something is done before CH becomes a ghost town

As I have become more realistic when it comes to things here...I must say...WarWidow...are we wasting our time here? Are they really going to do anything about this? I honestly don't think so. I signed this like 4 pages ago but no one has even come to say "we hear you". We know petitions don't work. I heard a number like 15,000 signed the CU post...
