Thread: Petition to alter the Creature Handler XP Grind

Consider this "mind you its not my own home lol"
A family of 6 including four children, the husband/wife likes to play on the pc for an hour or two every night to wind down from a hectic day at work and shuffling children to and from after school acitivites. While the children are doing they're home work, chores ... the parent will play swg and lets assume for the sake of agruement that the children don't need the pc.
Later the husband and wife relax watch tv and go to sleep. This is a typical day for an average family.
Now lets assume the children need the pc for homework, dad says no because he is macroing pets, kids need a ride mom says no she's atk "at the keybpard" grinding pets.
Mom/Dad leave pc on all day and all night while afk macro/grinding andif you countwear and tear on equipment the power to run everything all night and day for weeks. Wouldn't this family be able to spend this money no matter how small somewhere else to benifit all.
For some reason people have this vision of only college kidsand single men renting an apartment staying up all nightplaying this game and can leave the pc on day and night. Most of the ingame people I have met fall into the mom and dad with kids scenario. Can't we cut these people some slack or shall we help soe remove another demographic target from they're sights.
A game is meant to be played, it is supposed to be fun, it is supposed to make you feel better when and after you play it that is why the words likegame and entertainment are used here. SOE Sony Online Entertainment.
While you are able to macro grind a profession here or pet skills here is not the issue nor is it a solution. Nor can everyone do it if they wish. Macro grinding is a choice for some but that choice should not be forced apon anyone nor should they be made to feel inadequate if they choose not too.
You chose not to sign and that is your right, many in here chose to sign and that is theres. You choose to macro grind afk a game that is your right. I choose not to afk macro grind because for me it is no longer a game by doing so but something I must achieve. That to me isn't entertainment but a goal that in the end means nothing since another game will come out and I will have more goals to achieve.
I hope you understand where I and people like me are coming from and give us a little respect and consideration if not for us, then for the day you may wish it returned.

MCH is not a profession that should have to macro-grind and jump through meaningless hoops.
This is suppose to be a game we pay for, not a job!
Anyone 100% happy with SWG is a TOOL of SOE.

I understand what u are saying ... but keep this in mind ... if you have a good enough computer to run this game it is more than capable of multi-tasking .... thus your kids can use the computer an in the background your character can do the macro grind.
What upsets me most about this thread is that alot of the people that have posted here complaining about this are the same people that got down on the old MCH that complained the day this new system came into effect. I was so pissed to start with this new system I let my account expire. The macro grind is what brought me back.
The beauty of this new system is if you want to grind the old fashion way it can take your months or even a year to max out your pets. If you want to take the short cut there is NO reason you cannot learn every ability an have your whole datapad of pets ground out EASILY in less than a MONTH using the macro solution. The way you play is your choice. Make it easy on yourself or make it has hard as u want it to be.
As posted before actually you don't even have to grind 1 pet ability ... all u need to do is find a MCH that has what you are looking for. Me, I think this grind is pretty stupid in lots of ways that is why I have offered to train an MCH pets for FREE on Corbantis. I have now learned all known pet abilities an I know some people don't have the time or desire to do so... So I am trying to do all I can to help MCH community out. Heck last few days I have been taming babies for MCHwith abilities an giving they away for FREE to other MCH that don't have the time or ability to get them for themselves.
Is it fair to me an others that are now at the top of the new MCH system [those of us that have learned all known abilities] for this system to change and make it easier for the rest of you? I don't think so.

Laaba this is a game, not a job.
When a player logs in, he or she shouldn't have to resort to short cuts to correct or better their profession after SOE messed the system up in the first place. A game is suppose to have content and meaning to balance the work and play that go into it. The CU was to bring a balanced factor to all classes. With the new system, veteran MCH's got completely screwed over and now have to do Jedi-like grinding. With so many bugs and limited returns, the amount of work put in is a waste of game time. Unless your a power-gamer that does not work or has no life, this sytem is flawed. Anyone 100% happy with SWG is an SOE tool!
CH was the reason I started playing SWG 2+ years ago, so before you flame this post, signers, or me, look at the bigger picture and in the end you will see the truth.

LOL u are 2 funny ... If u only knew about my RL you would be shocked. NO I really don't care if they made it easier for people like you that complain an cry on this forum about how hard it is to grind things out. I asked if you thought that was fair to those of us that just sucked it up an did the grind.
So I disagree with you an several that have posted here. At least I have not lowered myself to personally attacking anyone as you just have done to me. Is this how you go about getting your way? If I cannot come up with a logical argument, I will just personally attack a person I disagree with?

Just think...Mustafar will bring level 80 to our table...imagine grinding a level 80 pet to full power now, that will be about 5 million+ XP if your lucky.
A game is to be fun and is to be played. Not macro-grind tons of yard thrash AFK while you sleep the night away.

LOL Im not trying to flame you War cause i agree with you on many things but lol come on know surely you aren't that Naive. Guys. I signed this petition out of principle but remember, THOUSANDS signed the CU petition. Gave SOE bad press at other sites and accross the net and they still released it...Argue that it is wrong...argue that it is unfair. But don't use the "we are paying..." bit. That is the last thing SOE cares about tbh
