Thread: Corral Plan: A Rough Draft 1
To My CH friends,
I am apologize, I was just so disappointed with JustG's response that I couldn't help myself. So I am asking for your forgiveness.
And I really think this is an awesome idea so keep up the good work.
No,
I am not going, too far, too much, and Sigh I can't see that it will help, but if you do go I suggest you take a printed copy of Pluto's idea and try and hash something out.
Oh and could you mention the bugs a little too. They might actually hear you there.

Anyone going to the Fan Fest in Anaheim? I plan on sitting in on the C/H discussion. We are grouped with Scouts and Rangers...I will bring this up and try to sell to the Rangers. I will post any new suggestions.

Mention some of the Ideas, in PLuto's other post Thikn that some of those are my best work.
And why cant they ever have these things in New York!
I have always liked the Coral Plan with the different building possibilities.
Creature storage is something I have always wanted once the Bio engineers took away most of my customers. A building would be a selling tool and a storage tool for placing pets that would also give our profession a means to conduct business.
There are a lot of combined profession ideas taking from medic and ranger to do dna sampling. To do dna sampling how high in medic would you have to go taking even more points. Would any newcoming creature handlers have to learn a branch of medic to get the dna sampling ability and would current masters have to learn those skills to keep the master tag. Using creatures you have to make better creatures would be cool but if u want to make frenzied grauls would u have to have 2 frenzied grauls to be able to breed them. I would approve of using pure dna to create new frenzied grauls out of old ones. The frenzied grauls being created would possess same area attacks and specials but would be a little stronger with better ham and dmg capabilities. Like maybe a frenzied could be created with 75% kinetic or one with medium armor.
I also liked the ideas about tranquilizers where a ch handler when trying to tame a baby could throw a dart at it to make it easy to tame. This would be very helpful in trying to tame dangerous creatures that could aggro on u or the baby u are trying to tame.

Enigma,
The Tranq thing got taken way out of context from my original intent. I did not want the Rangers to make them for us to use, I wanted the Rangers to use them so they would be included. But since my original expression of that I find that it could be exploited. Tranq, store, delete, over and over until an entire lair could be taken out with little effort and big payoffs. The box trap in some form will be less exploited and has more potential. Now as you say, maybe instead of it going completely out the dart could just give a plus to taming.
When the DE started talking about a Hybrid Tree the Devs quickly stamped it out stating that new requirements could not be placed into the game. There is no way to grandfather the skills to people already CH. The only possible way to grandfather would be to tell people way in advance the patch day, make it known if you do not have the certain skill sets you would lose the profession. It is too much chaos.
I am really looking at this idea to make our Corrals more Corral like. I think it would be cool to find unique capabilities for some of the wild pets. In the armor thread we have talked about mounting various things like PSGs and Turrets on pets, or giving them unique commands for various classes. One way to do that could be to require the training be done in stables. Something I have never understood is if various creatures heal their lairs, why can't we untap that to make them heal the CH when they have fallen. So one thing I have thought about when breeding is how to train these psuedo-FS creatures to heal people.
I have had too many real life things to do this weekend so I have not been able to pay attention to the boards as I would have liked. I will read up and make a new post in the near future on the state of the Corral. It is something I feel we need, in one form or another. Most likely I will post it to its very own new thread withing the next day or two.
Pluto, I will bring what we have to the fanfest. I am planning on sitting in on several discussions.
We have almost a month and a half before that. I also plan on bringing up the mount armor as well.

I like the idea of the traq dart giving a bonus to tameing a wild critter. I see it more a giveing a wild animal a minus to resist a CH's atempt to tame it but i think the end result would be the same.
as for makeing the coral more coral like why not throw in a training bonus (pets learn faster) to each level of the coral. if a CH catches a pet and drops it into a coral then tries to tame it while in the coral the pet would learn the command faster. i know its not much but theres reall not much that can be done with it.
have we completely droped the idea of the box trap for rangers? No it hasn't been completely dropped, but we ahve learned to stay away from anything Ranger, now Bio-Engineers we can handle.personnally i liked the idea of haveing a ranger catch to adult pets (both of which are untrainable) and letting them breed to make a trainable baby. this would be a short solution to the rarity (read: impossible to find) of some pets, and it would bring back the possibleity of getting new pets that no longer are tamalbr since there are no babies in the wild.
Finnaly it kinda sad, I was away for about a week or longer and found this thread lingering on the 5th page of the forum lets try and keep this thing going. i likke the ideas that are comming out and my girlfriend has yelled at me to much just to let this thread die, the pains gotta have some sort of result!Well we got a dev response that is a result.
