I think I'm one of the few people that actually liked it. I thought it added a little fun. And, obviously I wasn't someone who went around one-starring everybody because my stars given is a 3.9.

But, the fact that it's going away is not a huge thing that makes me sad or anything.

It's like if you order pizza with your friends and you like extra cheese, but they don't want the extra cheese. It's like, "meh, ok, no big whoop"

That's the point. A person may think they're fair because they have a 3.9-given rating, but in fact may just be going around giving a "1" to everything they "don't like" and a "5" to everything that they "like," and the surface-level "fair" use of 3.9 suddenly just gets back to "like" and "don't like" trolling.

What's the point of the rating system anyway? Popular threads that should be stickied can easily be identified by actually posting an opinion, and a "sticky" request in the actual thread if someone feels strongly about it. Stars need not apply.

It will save us a great deal of heartache, frustration, and thread nerfing to get the star system tarred, feathered, and run out of town.

Fundamentally opposed to the SWG GR (Game Revamp) - Fix Classic SWG incrementally rather than embarking on balancing a New SWG from scratch - Players have suffered enuf for 2 yrs., time to build on strengths, thanks! - CLICK HERE

The Everquest II forums have trackers for: Development - Moderators - GMs - Technical Support - Web Team - International Dev. Can we get the same here? I think it would be quite useful.

They do....just never bothered to tell anyone. I dont think we have all the support EQ2 does though... I have never seen anyone with the GM, Web Team, or International Dev titles.

I am happy to hear it is going away as well. I have used the "1 star bandits" to argue against similar systems on other web boards.

It's really a shame that this had to happen. Thank all the one star bandits out there for showing their true immaturity. Your abuse of the forums is the reason for the ranking removal. It doesn't really bother me though, it's just sad that there are so many wastes of oxygen one starring posts without good reason.
