So your gameplay was disrupted for a few hours...OMG!!! Call in the National Guard!!
Seriously, take one minute, just one, and think about something other than yourself. Think about the people in the south that have had their entire lives disrupted for far more than a few hours, try a few months, or even years. Suddenly, a few hours in a game doesn't seem that important does it?
Okay, this is like the tenth time someone has brought this up in this thread.
One could throw it right back at whomever says it, "How can you be posting here concerned about what one poster at an Internet message board for a video game says - if there are more important things for HIM to worry about, there certainly are more important things for YOU to worry about."
It's just a convenient way to put someone down, and people should be ashamed of themselves for bringing it up like this, using a tragedy to bash someone on the Internet.
I'm not speaking to the CS issue at all - I have little faith in them anyway (in more than two years they have never successfully helped me), so I can't speak to their performance or lack thereof this weekend. I just can't stand people using a tragedy to make themselves feel morally superior and just end up looking like hypocrites.
We are all doing what we can to help the victims. It's a horrible, horrible thing. But don't use it to further your own agenda, or take things out on people at a message board. If you feel his problem was insignifigant, the replies certainly didn't show that. One could use the same argument about many things - look, as long as this game has been live we've also been at war. One could say, "how can you even think about a video game when our country is at war, and people are dying every day!"
The answer is, we all do what we can, but life does go on. Hopefully, what we take away from tragedy makes us value our own lives and the lives of those we love (and those we don't) more, but daily life must continue.
AO, who had three minutes in between phone calls to write this, lest anyone be concerned that my reply was taking time away from anything important

Well, OK, but I'm not in over my head. I still stand by every word. If some fanboys want to flame me, they are welcome to.
It seems like each flame just mistates something or makes some absurd assumption, so I will stop trying to point them all out. I've made my points, they stand.
Have a nice day, everyone.
You're the same kid who cried because they ran out of cake at your birthday party aren't you?

Give her feedback, folks. Not your rants akin to Prosac withdrawl.
OK, you've got my curiosity going. Why is that "silly," and how is feedback about service and the absence of service not feedback? Is that not her job? And should not any representative of a company(community relations aside) respond, address, or pass on any customer issues or feedback, or rather do they just say, "not my job?"
Just curious where you're going with that.
Because the majority of what's posted here isn't feedback. It's a bunch of cowards using an Internet forum to vent due to their lack of personal control to write, or post coherently.

So I wonder:
- Have Tiggs finally been sacked for wasting time on silly board games and lame ol'jokes?
- Have the developers decided to simply focus on their work with the game? (HAAAAAAAH)
- What the hell is up?
It worries me. And I miss Thunderheart's completely non-community-concerning posts, going "Yep", "I think so" and the like.

Consider this ^_^ it was a three day weekend and most of them are off work. Do you do work from home? Tiggs does alot and this weekend she decided to take time with family rather then do work for free... who would have thought, hmmm.
That's awesome, Tiggs - very kind of you. I've been saving up some cash to donate, as my company is doing a full match for employee donations to the Red Cross through the end of the year.
Ah, thank you for clearing that up, hehe. It's all clear now.

Honestly guys....geez. Some of the posts in this thread only highlight the stupidity of some in our player base. I have been a vocal critic of this game. I love it, have been here before launch and continue to play every day. I want this game to be the best that it can be.
The only thing I can think of to say is do you really believe the lame, idiotic things some of you post?

LOL, pull out the violins. That explains one person, and good for you, but where was the rest of the SOE team on a 3-day gamer-heavy weekend. Closing the shop on a weekend like this is, dare I say it again, like the retailers closing down on the holiday shopping season... you know, open till midnight, Christmas Eve, etc. If you're in retail, you work it, period. It's the job you chose. Serve the customers.

wow dude, you're a real piece of work. You're one of the reasons these boards are so F'd up. Maybe you should have been in Louisiana last week. It may have made you start thinking about more people than just yourself

P.S. I chose a career where I don't have to work holidays in retail, nights in food service, or holiday weekends in media customer service (not that SOE does either, despite that's the industry they're in.) And having chosen my career in an appropriate industry to a holiday, I have a day off, I and a few others used it to sit idly by ingame, waiting for a CSR to reply toquick fix tickets to get our quest NPC's out of buildings and trees, so that we weren't stuck anymore and wasting our holiday waiting for a CSR who would never show up. Little did we know that there would be no CSR's that day, when:
- There should have been,
- There was no Announcement letting us customers know that they were off, and not to expect coverage.
At the least, we should have gotten the announcement. Basic customer service.
As a customer service or community rep, I would expect from Tiggs:
- A statement saying, "We erred in not communicating that we were closed for business, and we regret any inconvenience our lack of communication has caused."
- A statement saying, "At this time, our service representatives take off for most holidays, not usual for the service industry, and we welcome your comments."
- If she must, a comment about her personal endeavors as a footnote.

Truth of the matter is... you're ticked that a CSR didn't drop what they were doing to help you on the spot.
First off... as much preaching as you've done... you should know that A: There are only so many CSR's in the game AND B: Most of the CSR's are outsourced. Also, you act like you've never submitted a ticket before... anyone who plays this game knows that CSR's won't get to you right away unless you're really lucky.
So basically, something else is bugging you and you are taking it out on the wrong people.
Really? So the fact that you're a 44 year-old business executive justifies behaving like a 12 year-old punk? I work in an executive environment as well. I am constantly reminded (several times a day) that the behavioraldifferences between a self-absorbed yuppie and a spoiled brat are slight.Brats don't grow up, they just get older.
Taking a pot shot at the Tiggs (making it personal), thenmocking what she did with her weekend is uncalled for.
File your ticket and shut up.
Sorry, can't relate. I'm a 44 year-old business executive. I thought we were talking about customer service issues, and related communications.

Well... still can't read minds at long range ^_^
I am glad to hear that you are alright and that you have been helping others get alright as well. It looks really freel'd up down there and I am glad that someone I know is helping out.

Right on, Tiggs! I'm betting you got more appreciation doing that than you've been getting here.
I agree with this post
