Thread: Death Watch Bunker

Being a veteran of EverQuest, and having left it because I got tired of battling everyone else for "the uber drop", I find this new dungeon unacceptable. I have continued to play SWG because for the most part the content has been able to be handled by smaller, normal sized groups. Now with the addition of the Corvette and what appears is going to be added with the Death Watch Bunker I'm seeing a trend that is pointing towards the EQ way of doing things. The Corvette at least is instanced to help prevent camping. The DWB is going to be a camp fest.

Have you learned nothing SOE? People don't want EverQuest with blaster rifles. People want SWG to be Star Wars. People are tired of watching the rich get richer and the well equiped get better equiped. There have been countless threads telling you this.

Make this armor an award for an extremely hard quest(s). Make it a reward in Dev run player events. Make it extremely rare drop items. Anything, but don't make it a camped dungeon where only the elite need apply.

I hope to god JEDIS ARENT ABLE TO WEAR THIS ARMOR. Holy hell, if jedi wear this armor something will be wrong, I beleive most Mandalorians hate jedi also. I think anyways.

I doubt even the elite would be able to do this good.
Hearing of all the quests and mobs.
Its a good thing this isnt instanced cause it would cost 1mil dollars why well for the first time armor would die buy another same happens buy another and then finally you quit cause of a lack of money. (you are not gonna buy crappy armor although some professions will need it cough bh cough)
Maybe Maybe not we will see tomorrow.

There's a really worrying amount of uber-loot now being available, I don't want to play Everquest in space, all of these ultimate weapons for each class might quickly destroy the crafter economy, and it has introduced a lot of camping. Camping is perhaps the one thing absolutely everyone hates. Please stop introducing vastly superior uber-loot schematics that require camping for components, it hurts the smiths too.

By far the most worse idea yet. The continiuty is now a hair line thin. Death Watch was wiped out long ago.

Did you take this idea from some guy who just played SW Bounty Hunter and read about Death Watch and doesn't know it's history and decided to have it in this game. It's like having a bad GM placing an army of the Sith and putting it during the time of of Episode on, and totallynot aware of the "Rule of Two" that was established by Darth Bane.

First off, Death Watch would not need to hire Black Sun for anything. Second of all, Black Sun doesn't need the money from them cause Xizor (who runs the syndicate) is uber rich. Third, Death Watch are (were, cause they all dead) a solitary band of mercenies.... MERCENARIES!!! That means they get hired by people for wars and/or protection!! Not the other way around!

And of course no one cares cause everyone has an itch for Mandalorian Armor.... MANDALORIAN!!! What is Death Watch still using mandalorian armor for, when they designed and supplied their own?

I guess it's my fault for not giving them ideas. Then again look what they did to The Crackdown.

This thread is where they got the idea. but they left out some real good stuff that would have made it better.

Sorry TH I have to post my thoughts here..

Just went into the bunker.. at 500m away my FPS dropped to 4.. once i got in the door they dropped to 1.. Now I understand that this is not supposed to be easy to do.. but at least lets make it sensible and actually have some real value. You have 100 players trying to go into a bunker that holds oh say 200+ SBD and other lovely mobs that respawn faster than anyone can actually kill them.. Thus you end up with 100+ PO'd people that cant possibly complete the missions.. add that to decay = I wont be returning to it any time soon..

Save the time and frustration people.. it isnt worth it.. it simply put.. is not a Do'able thing.

The TC Roughnecks have comprised a comprehensive guide to the Death Watch Bunker. While we ask that you please NOT post your complaints/stories/rants in this thread, anyone is free to drop by and ask questions, give suggestions, or relate something they don't find listed in the guide. Gracias, and good luck!

I am really into the idea of mando armor and jetpacks in the game, but I believe I may speak for a good 98% of the people who go there. It was quite interesting to see an entire army of people dying before thwy could even enter the darn bunker. I went down in a few hits myself. Could we please try to take it down to at least only a bit more difficult than the corvette? I mean, the armor isn't supposed to be an easy thing to get, but it's not supposed to be an impossible dream here! So would this idea PLEASE be considered?
