hail: thunderheart

i haven't been in ROM for longand i'm not exactly a SWG veteran, but i'd like to see that the guild gets a lttle credit, the guild city new mandalore (NM) had the 2nd player built cantina on the server, i bellive, so we are reasonably well- known

all that i dont want to see is some joe who calls him self 'veteran' or has a tag on their name saying 'mastersomething' coming to Nm or the guild website and thinking that we copied, in anyway, death watch, because, before long the whole server will have heard about 'that guild who call them-selves RPers then copy death-watch'

so please, give us a little credit

As I have said many times...the only way to make sure this armor remains rare is to ignore the whiners and make it MBH only...otherwise you will see whimpy dancers innthe cantinas wearing and disgracing this armor!

I am glad this armor is will certified for only certain professions.

I am sure most of the whiners are Uber leet defense stacker doods whoare drooling over the chance to have some really good armor so that they could pwn even more. The thought of having a bunch of TKM/Master Fencer/Master Brawler running around with Mando Armor is laughable. Keep the certifications intact, don't listen to the Master Whiners, and please show some backbone on this one SOE.

There is too much defense as is, people with 3k+ HAM bars, including secondaries, defense stacks that only recently went from patently absurd, to merely ridiculous. Armor that at one time could resist 100%, recently capped at 90%, big deal. Watch a melee fight sometime. Takes half an hour of people spamming unarmed hit III or one hand hit III and finally someone goes down. And everyone cheers like a great battle has taken place. No skill is involved, just keep hitting your best attack. At least in a melee/ranged battle, there is a fight for ideal range, with the melee fighter using cover like buildings and harvesters to hide behind, and the ranged fighter attempting to get distance between him and the melee player.

Many MMORPGgive content or bonuses to the hard core players that the casual player just won't be able to access, it's the bonuses that come with long playing time. Why should a player who puts in a couple hours a week get everything that the player who plays 30 hours a week gets. The reality is that the professions that will get to use Mando armor get very little to begin with. BH is effectively broken, Commando is fine for PvE, but has no value in PvP, and Squad Leader is completely laughable. Pistoleer is broken, but the addition of a geo stun blaster made them a little less pathetic. Did anyone whine about the certification on that?

The biggest problem really isn't the armor itself, though. Armor is supposed to be tough to wear. Takes a lot out of a person. But a complete and utter lack of foresight occured. It never occured to anyone that some day, doctor buffs with a power of 3000 would be possible. Back in the early days of SWG a set of doctor buffs were a joke. maybe 1000 to each pool, for a maximum of 1 hour, if you were lucky. Now we regularly have consistent 2500+ buffs that last for close to 4 hours. Add some Vasarian Brandy and anyone can wear armor. As a Master Rifleman/ Master doctor I didnt wear armor though. My HAM costs using high end rifle specials was 0. It cost me nothing to use any specials when I was buffed. All this talk about HAM costs for specials and armor, negated by enhances made from near perfect resources. This is the true issue.

As I said before, stick to your plans on the armor, I for one applaud your decision.

Just to keepus players onour toes. Oncewe get the armor what do you think happens to it once wedie a couple of times. You can only fix itso manytimes before it breaks. Then you have to go threw all that again. I am happy with what I get.

thismakes me curious....if death watch is coming out between pub 9 and 10 and death watch is scheduled to come out in about 5 days does that mean that pub 9 is less than a week away??????

I found this link awhile ago for the bunker from the test center :

http://www.swgtest.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1471

it looked very kool and the razor knuckler is something I'm looking forward to get , being a TKM I can't wait. so if ur on the chilistra server and u find it or make it give me a yell and we can talk, and maybe come to deal. as far as some peeps saying about everyone wearing mandolorian armor probably not for awhile, think about it armorsmiths will charge an arm, a leg, and your first born child to buy it. and it doesn't sound like ( from the dev's ) that there will be many drops of it ( the armor ) and if there is it probably woudn't be that great of stats on it.

But to all that go to the dungeon and beat it congrats, to those who get a full set of the armor, Brovo! But I think that only BH and commando's should be able to wear it. But that is my thought.

Yeah I know quit thoughting.

Name is GiaJin on chilistra if u make the razor knuckler give me a yell I'd love to see the stats on it.

The sad part of the tail.... Folks are crying about everyone wearing mando armor, but I can't throw a stone ingame without hitting someone wearing composite armor... My opinion, instead of releasing parts of the armor as loot, just release mandolorian armor segments that can be taken to a master armorsmith to craft the armor... If someone wants to whine, whine about all the composite armor!

This place is going to be horrible when it hits live... I've heard that there are many things you can do to grief players
in the dungeon, and I'm sure there'll be tons of idiots who would love to do that. And the fact that keys to get farther into the dungeon are LOOTED sounds like a bad thing, as well. I can just picture the hordes camping every inch of this place...
