Not bad, I like the general idea but as someone who designs interfaces for a living there are a few changes I would like to see made. These are some of the things I would like to see in order of importance.
1) Bookmarks and Subscriptions need to be at the top. These are the messages/pages we care most about and view most often and should be accessible immediately. I should not have to scroll to the bottom of the page to get to them.
2) Need an option to turn on/off the Most Popular Boards. I don't really care for it. I know what boards I want to go to and can find my way there. Just taking up space.
3) Same goes for the Newest/Currently Online Users. No one really cares about this. We have friends lists to show us if the people we care about are one line. I could really care less if some random person is on, or who the new guys are.
4) Need more customization under the boards section. Should be able to choose which boards are visible here in addition to how many are shown in each category. If I could set this to 2 boards, and put the 2 in each category I look at most in there it would bevery usefull. As it stands it seems to be putting random boards in there no mater how many you set it to. It would also be nice to set it to display which sub categories you want shown in this section, there are some categories such asSupport, or Other that I never look at, so again the just taking up space. Also if you set it to display 0 boards under each category it is currently displaying all, not sure if this is intended.

I like it! I also like the new Administrator Tracker that just appeared. Helpful.
The whole layout is much better though in my opinion.

I actually like it a lot. It's quite useful to have everything up on that home page and it only took about 10 minutes to become acclimated to this new setup.

I just wanted to say for a second time that I love this new setup. I don't know why people have trouble with it. All the boards are right there infront of you, the Dev track is on the side, and you can see your personal stats. It's perfect, I love it. Also the search feature is right on the top. This will cut down on repeated posts I think.

According to GarVa, there's no way to allow both types of layouts being used at once.

The new layout is nice enough, but for two things:
1) I liked using the front page to see at a glance if any new had appeared in Announcements, Patch Notes etc etc all at once. Now I'll have to check on the subcategories individually - oh well.
2) I'll add my voice to the throng asking for Bookmarks to be moved to the top of the page, as that is where they will do the most good.

Select under your prefences to have Latest messages show up, one click and new stuff is listed under forum title.

***** You can change the portal layout to your liking by going to your Profile and choosing preferences!*****
I don't see any options to change the layout, e.g. get rid of the stuff I don't need like top boards etc... I want my bookmarks on top, not at the bottom.
