I have noticed a HUGE change in the response from customer service! They actually take care of problems now instead of saying, "sorry cannot help you."

So just having a better, more helpful CSR staff is going to make a big difference in a positive way.

Kudos to ShelomanB on Chilastra and the other CSR's who have actually been helping players deal with problems in a nice way.

*Points at his ticket for being stuck inside of a spawned building*

It took 2.5 hours to get me out.

That is right, 2.5 of my gameplay hours were spent sitting waiting for a CSR.

I do want to say that it is not the CSR's fault, CSR-KenS was very nice and helped me when I told him I had been waiting for over two hours. He got me a CSR within 10 minutes of that. However I had talked to CSRs in chat earlier saying I had been stuck for an hour and a half, and all they could say was "soon". I honestly think if KenS had not gone and asked someone to help me ingame himself I would still be in that god forsaken hut on dantooine.

Mr. Smedley and the Devs need to read this thread and take it to heart. Obviously there are a lot of folks at SOE out of touch and until they start listening to the feedback on the CURB and not just using selective hearing a lot of of folks will be unhappy when it rolls live.

No decay + uber loot = /spit on crafters

Fix the economy and give crafters their $$$ worth... give us real revamp.

I agree with most of the postings here and I'm glad I'm not the only one that was stunned by Smedley's statement regarding "positive feedback" regarding the CU. I mean, yes, there are a few fanbois out there that are excited about it ..but that's because they want to play a NEW game: SWG 2, while most of us just want to keep what we have.

I don't know why SOE can't understand that we actually came to this game because it was different and because we CAN solo everything and have fun doing it. The era of 'grouping' as a given is over and very few really want it back ...we want to be able to log on and have the option of either grouping or soloing and being able to have the SAME experience whether we do one or the other. SOE's philosophy has always been to reward the groupers and punish the soloers ...and I've never understood that.

The notion of an MMORG, to many of us, is just that we get to play along with thousands of other people and interact with them at our leisure. Iwould never play SWG if it were a single player game; however, I don't think I will play SWG if I'm forced to be in groups to see content either ....think on that.

I'm sorry to tell you those CSRs are gone, yea ShelomanB too...ah well...SOE and communication, you know, 2 worlds.

The masses quit playing EQ ...they didn't all flock to EQ2 and they're not flocking so much to WoW either. Guess what? Most of the MMORG fan base is growing up and getting real lives and it's hurting SOE's pocketbook.

The strange thing is that you'd think with this reality staring them in the face, they'd do their best to make it an experience that's rewarding without a lot of time commitement. How do you do that? I don't know and they're not paying me to think of it; however, I do know that the changes proposed in the CU are going the opposite direction of that.

The "Combat Upgrade" is now live on the SWG test server, and it's getting very positive feedback from the SWG playerbase.

Hey Tiggs

I know you're just a good company mouthpiece, but how in good conscience, with your new title or otherwise, can you quote this?

Pray tell.

This guy (Smedley) is either a congenital liar or else he has no connection with reality.

Yeah, the 25 players they will have left after CU love it. But there isn't any poll nor any feedback forum, no matter HOW they massage the questions and spin the results that can show anywhere near a MAJORITY, much less enough of one to be called "overwealmingly positive" support for the CU.

This, plus the Devs unwillingless to listen to anyone but themselves, plus abuse I've received from them (unfair account bans) prompted me to cancel my 3 accounts last night.

I can't keep subsidizing a bunch of jerks and liars with my money, and contribute to their desecration of Star Wars.

Why not make it like EQ1/2 or WoW....no one who play those complains about the combat systems in those games....Why try to reinvent the wheel when you have a templete already nice and ready laid out for you?

If I was on the SWG team, i'd probablygo crazy because there's NO PLEASING YOU PEOPLE!!

"OMG!! I can't go out, master every profession in a week, become a FotMjunkie and completely unbalance the game for everyone else by flooding the market with credits, over priced loot, and stacking my defences so high that no one can touch me while I put my mind poision on them and blast them away with my rifle! I can't be uber any more!! WAHHHHHH"

Oh and heaven forbid you guys have to actually GROUP in a massive multiplayer game...especially to LEVEL!

The current combat system is crap. Anyone who played it from the begining knows it. Yes, the partical effects are over the top...the icons are a bit...odd...though i like them a hell of a lot more than the old ones.

The NGE is a decent start. Now lets bring the rest of the worlds up to par with Tatooine and Mustafar

Anyone who played in the beginning knows that you had to group to level and choose armor wisely in the pre-buff days. Hell, GROUPS would get killed walking from Anchorhead to Bestine in attempts to raid the imperial stronghold. Those were the good 'ol days. The combat system was not the problem then.
