I dont trust this man any further than I can throw him...Sorry TH, but we have had this carrot dangled in front of us before....

Hope you are planning an annoucement next week. My usual staunch faith in the Dev Team is really shaken by the mess you lot have made of communicating simple things. Even if its just "we can't say anything yet".

you mean you actually have faith in the DEVs, who only glance at our profession long enough to nerf it some more? TH has always played this like a politician trying to get elected. he throws out some really pretty terms, attracts our attention, but in the end, delivers... nothing. actually not true, he delivers nerfs, and says he has good reason.

I am inclined to agree with wolfman. Right now, we only have 2 actual heavy weapons (those that do AP3), the rocket launcher and the heavy particle beam cannon. Both of these are slow, inaccurate, consumable, have high HAM costs, and are prohibatively expensive to use on a regular basis. On top of that, the current highest end mob in the game, a super battle droid has 95% energy resists and 100% blasts resists (as an aside this makes no sense), making our biggest heavy weapons useless against high end content. Further, there are no tanks, personel carriers, or aerial aircraft where our weapons could come in to play. In a way, we are similar to the jedi prior to their revamp in that we are paper tanks, all offense, minimal defense, but we are in even worse shape since we do considerably less damage in high end content. If the devs want to stick to the original basis of this class, there needs to be a change in the armor piercing values of our heavy weapons so that they are all AP3, a change in the accuracy and speed of our weapons, and a change in our defenses. Either that or make our nuclear weapons actualy have the impact of a real nuke, and just be an I win button .

PS. How does a jedi block a cone of fire, a stream of acid, a spray of electicity, or an explosive tipped rocket with a lightsaber?

Well, it is way more diverse in this game. You can have a Com that is a Cook. He He... but a great example.

  • Info about updates

  • Links to threads where they give full details about upcomming features

  • Links to threads where they ask for feedback..And answer feedback

  • Salute players that have been recommended for good work

  • Answer questions that arrive

  • Add in some fun stuff, like a playermade comic.


Not to forget, they lurk the forums worse that SWG devs. They answer negative posts and happy posts..They explain why and what they are doing....


Only negative about them is... They invented the "Soon(TM)"...As in features that will take quite some time to come.


And these guys whos working on a much smaller game, customerwise, have a dev team equal of SWG or bigger..and the game is cheaper.



Why can't SWG friday feature be more like this?.....Even the "monthly newsletter" Don't come up to these weekly features from the WW2OL team....

/agree with the ARC trooper concept.


Now thoseCommandos are and in line with the SWG concept.... I think.A team of a dozen armoredcommandos come in,do a pinpoint strike operationby taking down an Uber turret, while providing heavy firepower support soa Jediand some other troops so they can come in and regain control of a city... certified badasses. And look, SW canon to back it up, who knew?


But then, if you looked at that, I'd be taking down normal stormtroopers with CDEFs like a Princess with novice marksman, who'd need heavy weapons then right?
