Why it should be considered
The HAR is useless and beyond fixing IMHO. It should be scrapped and replaced with a Blaster Weapon as this is star wars after all and blasters are alledgedly common.Yet wesee no rapid fireblaster support weapons in SWG,in all other Star Wars Game wegot to play with heavy energy weapons yet we seem to have drifted away fromblasters in favour of exotic damage. It is also sensible that both the imperial military and the alliance would shun exotic weapons in favour of weapons exhibiting similar characteristics as their basic infantry weapons.
The LRB (Light repeating blaster) shouldbe energy based and be at least as powerful as aLaser Rifle and do auto fire type specials. Accuracy should be significantly improved by firing from a prone positon. The E-Web should be as powerful as a T21 andshould only be fired from a prone or kneeling position. It stands to reason that that Commando's would ditch the tripod set up on the E-Web in favour of slinging it on the ground and firing from a prone position.

Why it should be considered
There is not much behind this but these two fighting clases require a full master and an other tree before being able to unlock unlike others elite professions that require 1 tree. Therefor they can master more professions unlike us we can master one of these and 1 other. So in my opionion Commandos and BH's so be a stronger profession then the ones that reqiure 1 tree since we not able to have as many professions as they do.

Why it should be considered
Currently the only weapon for the Commando that is any good is the Flame Thrower, but it lacks any form om armor penetration. Why not give us something that is usable in PvP? Say a assault rifle w. Medium to heavy pen? The Launcher pistol aswell could be rewamped with some penetration (I mean it does fire missiles..)

Deployable Detonation Packs

Why it should be considered
Synonmous with Detonation Droids, the detonation pack is like a satchel charge with a timer, blast radius and high damage rating. In WWII they were used to take out Pillboxes, Anti-Aircraft installations and Shore Batteries. Could be used against turrets, AT-ST (have a sticky version, run up, attach a charge). In RoTJ Han Solo used Detonation Charges in the destruction of the shield installation.

Drop Zones

Master Ranger and Master Squad Leader
Why it should be considered
Would require a combination of both to assemble... the Ranger would assemble the landing zone (ie. camp), the Squad Leader would install the Beacon. The Drop Zone would allow for faction alligned players to access a new drop zone on a planet. The drop zone lasts for a finite period of time (2 hours). Would bring some more immersion to GCW for ferrying troops in and out of a combat zone.

Why it should be considered
This type of weapon has no mobility, but can really dish out damage. It is very commando like, and is used by marines, etc in storming bases, etc. When using it not too much could get in your way, but if you were attacked from behind or flanked you would be in trouble... perhaps it could be something like we saw commandos using when the empire attacked the rebels on the ice planet. Heavy artillary - perhaps - but something like this concept...

Having an actual macro command that would cycle the targeting of corpses for looting while using area attacks would be very nice

Why it should be considered
Since we are all having to grind away to gain enough convertable experience for FS branches it would be nice to have some way to cycle the targeting of corpse's in macro's when using area attacks such as acid cone or flame cone. The current macro commands wont allow you to do this.
I worked sevral hours trying to come up with something that could be used as a loop for targeting corpse's. After several hours of tinkering only to come up dry. One of the biggest problems with the macros i have found is this:
/loot all----------this command tends to target any npc players or characters nearby with the letters Al in their name. Example: The loot all command used in kadaara city naboo targets an entertainer trainer named Alli.
/target corpse-----this command always seems to stick or default on a dead player corpse or any other corpse in the area (either ones too far away or ones that are unlootable.
I tried sevral ui action commands but they wont target any different than /loot will.

Because Commando weapons are too slow compared to most other types and weak in comparison during PVP to other weapons due to the fact they are far too easily protected against.

WOOT!!! This is an awesome idea that the dev should consider for the LLC as well. As a weaponsmith I would highly recommend this idea to the developers. Not like their slow speed is going to take down an ancient Krayt Dragon in minutes. As for the ammo it could be like the missle packs on JTL. But don't forget what to use for loot attachments
Anyhow, I agree, the cost of a rocket launcher is just to much for commandoes for what it costs to make one. Better to just stick with flamethrowers for now.

Continuos fire special for FT, HAR & LLC at master(requires player to be kneeling)

Why it should be considered:
Currently the heavy weapon specials have long delays that come with them, this idea would see the player being forced to kneel (immobilised) and let rip with the weapon for one continued burst. Ideal for structures and stationary targets as this would allow the player to cause a huge amount of damage. The fact that the player is unable to move leaves them incredibly vulnerable to attack, which would break the special and jam the combat queue for a few seconds whilethey recovered (balancing large dmg output with enormous risk to safety). Also there could be a maximum timer on this move of 1 minute, after which the weapon would overheat and require 15 seconds to cool down before it can be used again. This more than anything, gives a point to being Master of the proffession, rather than just taking the heavy weapon lines.

I pruchased the first guid book for this game when it came out and for commando it had weapon mounts listed, attachments for grenades that commandos could make. Bring back some of these and put it in the heavy weapons tree.

We currently have a blaster pistol that any pistoleer can use better than we can and an unarmed tree that we have to take, but serves no purpose but to waste our precious SP. Combine the (useless IMO) HAR line with the FT line and give us a close encounters tree that would:

We currently have a blaster pistol that any pistoleer can use better than we can and an unarmed tree that we have to take, but serves no purpose but to waste our precious SP. Combine the (useless IMO) HAR line with the FT line and give us a close encounters tree that would:
1) Give us pistol/unarmed acc, dmg, and spd- pistols and TK are speed capped at master anyways preventing them from wasting all those extra SP just to get a few measly speed or damage. Also allowing us to use our weapons better.
2) Provide a new defense mod included in this tree: Commando Toughness. It's been suggested before, we have pitifully weak defenses without using pistoleer or TK trees, and a commando should be hard-as-nails tough. One of the sig quotes I saw sums it up perfectly- "I ain't got time to bleed." To prevent abuse/dabbling make this apply only on Commando cert weapons and keep the mod top-ended with maybe a +25 modifier at master.
3) New special attacks/weapons for this tree. Most of these should be placed higher towards the top, but it would make sense to have a lot of state attacks associated with such a powerful profession. I would evision at Encouters IV an actual dizzy/KD combo attack for unarmed and stun and intimidate attacks for pistols (I mean, they are getting hit with little rockets after all, and my groupmates might stop whining when I pull out my BP if it actually did something besides cause massive lag
). Lastly, and yes, I know the CURB is coming......eventually, but give the blast knucklers to commandos- certed at master with maybe AP1 blast damage, the only issue I could see with this would be the ridiculous amount of TKMs/MCommandos out there able to inflict high amounts of damage and able to tank anything- but hey, MHS does that anyways.
Just a couple ideas.....
