I would like to see the heavy repeater fromJedi Knight 2

possible stats



Stun or electric

500-600 damage

5.0 speed


specials could be like the alt fire which is an area attack at the ground not a specific target

Heavy Repeater


Min Damage: 10


Max Damage: 60


Attack Speed: 0.3


This weapon would be meant to shoot a lot of projectiles to catch a target in a barrage of firepower.


Pro's:


-A lot of shots so target might get serious wounds.

-A lot of damage over a small time.

-Since every shot looks like a number of shots (like a rifle does multiple shots although only 1 damages its target) one big rain of shots will scream trough the sky.


Cons:


-Since a lot of shots are fired, condition decreases fast.

-Since there is a low min damage average damage isn't always as good.

The Acid Rifle needs a face lift. Instead of making it a clone of the Flamethrower, just with different color projectiles and a different weapon mesh, make it have it's own character. Here's my suggestion.


Heavy Acid Rifle Face-lift

Type Of Weapon: Rapid Firing weapon. Instead of making the Acid Rifle like a squirt gun from hell, make it like a heavy assault rifle.

AP: AP2 or AP3 (most likely AP3)

Damage: Put it up to par, if not above-par, with a carbine that does acid damage (can't think of one off the top of my head).

Speed: 1.5 to 3 seconds

Mods: This weapon would be mid-ranged, so it would most likely have similar mods to a carbine.


Heavy Weapons Branch Overhaul

Just about the only heavy weapon that people use is the rocket launcher. These weapons suck. These weapons arn't worth the recourses. They miss a high percent of the time, and they are crazy-expensive. I'd rather see all the heavy weapons taken out, except for the rocket launcher. To replace the four or so charge-using heavy weapons, keep the rocket launcher and add the E-Web rifle. The E-Web is a heavy rapid firing rifle that is mounted on a tripod.


E-Web Suggestions

I'm not good at suggesting weapon speeds, and damages and such, so I'll just describe it. The E-Web would shoot fast and do high damage. TheE-Web would either do Heat or Stun damage (I'd rather have stun since there arn't too many weapons that have stun). TheAP would be aroundAP0 or AP1.The E-Web would be one of the most powerful weapons in the game. The E-Web's downsides would keep it from being overpowered. The E-Web would be like a mobil-manned turret. It would take 30 to 60 seconds to set up. The E-Web would require one Commando that has the certification for it, and a Master Marksman to opperate. Once set up, the Commando would select "Man Turret" while the Master Marksman would select "support" or something like that. Once the two people are manning the E-Web, the Commando would select who to attack. As the Commando goes thru the tiers of Heavy Weapons, he/she would earn new specials, like Multi-shot (fires a chain of 3 or 5 bolts) and/or spray-shot (does more damage to a lot of targets, but the accuracy would be lower since it's like spraying a hose). The E-Web could be targetted by opposing players and destroyed. The E-Web would take 30 to 60 seconds to take appart and store. This would make it more or less a defensive weapon. It would be used to defend areas from opposing forces, or else it could be set up to take out a building, or any other target that has limited movement.


Seriously though, Commandos need more variety in weapons. All we have in Heavy Weapons is the same gun, only different types of damage. I'd rather have 4 different styles of weapons (one rapid firing assault rifle, one "spraying" flamethrower, one charge-using rocket launcher, and one stationary gun turret) than 8 weapons, in which one is original (Launcher Pistol is Original, HAR and FT are the same gun, different types of damage, and all the weapons in the HW tree are the same gun, just different types of damage).


So yeah, please don't give us that "New weapons are too much, it requires new artwork, new coding, and so on". This arguement will not fly with us because the Riflemen, who already have one of the most powerful weapons in the game,are getting a new gun that is better than anything we have to offer.

Ok, everyone is going to hate me for the last part.....



1. As stated, move the FT and HAR into the same tree.


2. I like the idea of the grenade launcher. However, here are some changes. the weapon is useless by itself. WS will be able to make "clips" of grenades, either 25 or 50 in a stack. The damage done is whatever the grenade is made to do. The speed is whatever the grenade is made to be, plus a 1 or 2 second delay for loading. The range should be about 40 meters. The ham costs are the same as the grenades, plus 15 10 10.


3. Maybe give the LP a few attacks. Since I dabble in pistoleer, I really don't see the need for secials...sorry.....


4. Fix the accuracy and speeds of the HW in the HW tree. Also, as with the grenade launcher idea, make the HW require "clips" RL's would need stacks or rockets, and the beam weapons would need batteries.


5. Ok, if we want a new gun, here is my idea.....



No, we should NOT get cold or stun damage. That is just asking for a nerf. We also should not be asking for an ap 3 weapon, as it will never happen. Here is my idea.


If we recieve a heavy repeater rifle/carbine, I think that the following mods would be appropriate:


Damage: Energy


ap: 1 or 2 (depends on the rest of the criteria)


speed: 2.5 (if at ap 1) or4 (if at ap 2)


damage: 130 - 250 (if ap 1) or 180 - 300 (if ap 2)


ham costs: 45 25 25


Range mods: -20 @ 0, +15 @ 30, -5 @ 64 (once again, rough numbers)


Specials: blinding shot. Shoots the ground in front of the target, spraying dirt into their eyes.



Repeater fire: Fire 3 or 4 shots in succession with a high chance of a hit, at the cost of double ham and double timer.



Personally, I would like to see a weapon like the M4. (Think of the guns from GI JOE. Hey, I am a child of the 80's, ok? )


Damage: energy


ap: 1


speed: 2.5 (would hit the cap at master)


Damage: 170 - 240


Ham costs: 35 20 20


Range: -20 @ 0, + 20 @ 35, + 0 @ 64


Specials: Blinding shot. Same as above.



Leg wound: same effect as the phenacine dart trap. Reduces the targets speed by 15% for 30 seconds. Has a 1 minute timer.



These are just some basic ideas.



Now, here are my reasons for the above.


1. We are designed as a support class. Our weapons should not be "ultra uber PvP weapons". they are large and slow, in order to handle the amount of force needed to control and harness the energy of their ordnance.


2. Between our HW and te weapons from marksman, we have access to every type of damage except restraint. (even the sg82 and cryoban grenades for cold.

i wish they could do this in publish 7 or 8. i just got commando and am lovinf the thrower of flames but when im master and i want to do sumthing sexy and challenging i want something to take them. lets pray the vision comes true and sooner than later

i agree with the assault rifle idea. it would balance out commando so every commando wouldnt ALWAYS use a flamethrower. Being almost at flame 4 myself, the flamethrower is strong, but i would like something new like an assault rifle. yes, it sould have blast or stun damage to make it effective. the damage should be basically equal to the light lightning cannon, also should have great speed and accuracry. damage would range about 400-750 on the average assault rifle. id like to see one like the Clone Trooper rifle or something

oooooo clone trooper rifle shwiiiing. the accuracy should be good but not perfect since its likea machine and rapid fire doesnt go in a straight line. range should be very long. power like flamethrower.


but a machine gun like a flame thrower? im thinkin thats not realistc. MORE IDEAS MUST COME!

For everyone wondering on that Clone Trooper Rifle, it is called, the DC-15 Clone Trooper Blaster Rifle


Keep the ideas flowing, this is just an initial set to see all aspects of where we can go, and then whittle it down later based on possible, maybe, never could happen


*Side note: Still working on my 2 ideas, they are based around the E-Web for PvP Base defense type of things, and the DC-15 for new weapon *

Ok, meaning no disrespect to all o fthe ideas here, but I am seeinga trend. Almost all of the ideas, mine included, make the proposed commando weapon so powerful that it owuld never happen. I mean a gun with 300 -500 damage at 2.5 seconds? With ap 3?


When we think up the ideas for these weapons, we need to keep that hated word...."balance"...in mind. If the weapon is too powerful, then the idea won't even be considered. I would suggest making the stat on your proposed weapon a little weaker. We can always tweak the idea later. Right now, we should just agree on a standard idea.



Also, damage types. We sould NOT get a cold or stun type gun. That would be too rare, and it wouldn't even get a chance at being made.
