Nick, can we try to get a conformation of whether or not our new specials will indeed work with other weapons or heavy weapons only sence thats how the tested on TC2

I'll let you know how it goes with both, mate.. I used my token respec (mainly to get rid of the damn popups that always happened during combat) to go Master Commando/Master BH. Hopefully this works out well, cause my Proton Rifle is bloody awesome now.


Defenses are above 230 and with a good pup, my rifle does 766dps with 1.06 speed.

Can't confirm anything till new patchwork goes on TC2...

Since these specials are -very- specific, I have a feeling they won't be useable with non-Heavy weapons. It does make sense a bit, since our weapons have built-in states, which other profession's can pick up to supplement their own abilities (just like before, but now its not so one-sided).

But we'll see...

So far it works with any weapon that takes HW mods...

Your primary damage will be boosted on ALL heavy weapons. Its just that the AoE won't be boosted on the AoE Weapons - so you'll be doing the same damage in both melee and ranged templates using our specials. The only difference is, in a ranged template you now get the benefit of having increased AoE as well as the increased damage we see from our specials. In all...this is far better than relying on ranged professions for both of those, rather than getting a boost.

Ok I've calmed down a little and managed to breifly read some posts here, but I'm too excited and need direct answers or if nothing else now bring up concerns.

Focus Fire and Overkill Shot are good names for specials, but the other two are not.

I would call Demolition Shot, Pierce Shot. That sounds more correct since this is basically the Armor Piercing ability we kind of wanted. Demolitions are mines, C4, etc. Not Armor Piercing Rounds, though it's possible but doesn't match our Weapons.

Rather thenn Dead Bang Shot how about Point Blank Shot. I don't want Comic things for the name of our Specials.


Now these are all very good. But let me get this straight. Focus, Dead Bang, and Overkill all increase the Damage to the Main Target. If so that's awesome! Cause I'm a little worried since we don't have much for Non-AoE Weapons.

Everything else looks good. However there are still some concerns. How much Damage are we talking about?

If I'm to Understand Overkill Shot sounds like it's going to be the most powerful Shot in-game. Which it should be if it's gonna have a long timer. 10 Seconds is way too long. 6-8 Seconds is better.

Actually the Damage ain't so bad on our Weapons, though we could use slight increases by 50-100 Damage on the Max and Mins. Also our SAC is terrible. When me and three others were going through the Avatar Station my PFT drained my Action almost to nothing in 4 Shots about or so it seemed.

SAC is to high. All our SACs should be in the 80-90 Range. Over 100 is wrong. Speed seems right on Weapons, just need a little more kick to balance out DPS. And the SAC needs to be reasonable.

But this is really awesome. But it has to be done right. I expect these Specials to some serious Damage. I better not see folks doing more Damage then me with Crictical Shot or Leg Shot. Again the Speed and Damage needs to be correct. And while I don't need to be spitting out fire, I don't want to wait 1/6 of a mintue to shoot something and potentially miss or have it blocked. We shoudl shoot slower then everybody else, but then we gots to do more Damage then anybody else in those shots to even it out.

Also I hope these Specials work on other Weapons, not just Commando. I mean I still wanna use my DL-44 and Laser Rifle to some effectiveness with Commando. Otherwise it leaves us lacking. I know there are going to be times when I wanna use my PFT and times when I wanna use my Laser Rifle and I want to be able to do so with ym Comamndo Skills.

All aside I feel happy and hopeful again. However it has to be done right. However I think it will this time.

Oh yea we need a Master Level Rocket Launcher and a Blue Effect on the PFT!
