These two things should have been dealt with long ago but the gernal commando community just wants to see us have new toys to play or **edit** about how we got stuck with 2.5dmg mod or our dot sucks now. If our dots suck how come I can one shot storm-troopers 80% of the time with a non-kryat flamer?


I'd Happily see the Flamethrower Taken out of the game tomorrow, it's just not commando at all. The assault rifle is a much more viable, and much more star wars style weapon.


Yes we have been a huge target since everyone complains about our flame dot and I am sure all the changes to dots was with flamer in front, look at AT-STs now more resistent to flame dots. This means we need to use our other weaponry like the grenades, hvy weapons and Launcher pistol.


LP is great if you eguage in other professions (which i agree is a must for all commandos given the points we have left). As for granades and hvy weapons, they're a joke. Granades either miss or arn't worth the bother, as they cause a mob to agro at the start of the throw and not after the inital explosion (unlike scout/ranger traps). Heavy weapons are too expensive, and when used in PvP, miss 9 time out of 10. Sure when they hit, they hit hard, but whats the benefit if i'm already dead? Also on a cost per damage basis, they're too expensive.


Commandos are not a exclusive profession like the Bounty Hunter you can Master Commando and go Master in any other combat profession that comes off Brawler and Marksman as for experts in terrain and thier enviroment play a Ranger, Commandos are about straight up high end one shot damage.


Agreed we can go into other professions to gain the benefits, and thats good. But i'd rather commandos had to spend more skill points, and gain commando like abilities. Assault Rifles in. Granades that function properly in, and possibly the E-web, at master with severe restrictions. Remember guys we need to be careful for asking for too much.

Give us something back and fix the damn profession...there is no way TH you can come here again and say we're lying, why would we go through all this? Why would you see thread after thread about this?

Heh back again and this time I would like to see us get an assault rifle type weapon, yeah I know I have said stuff beforeabout asking for fixes as opposed to new stuff if it does happenI think we should lose the HAR as it is useless and I cannot seeing it to be an alternative vs the flamer even with whatthe flameris now also combining the HAR tree into the Flamer tree would be too powerful so we should lose it. Assault rifle should be our long range weapon cause belive it or not the flamer mods at 64m are wrong they should be a neg not zero, go figure. With the flamer at short the LP at med then our other weapon (assault rifle) long range we would then have a good mix of weapons plus the one shot weapons to go with it. I would not see it to be too bad and it would put us in a better position than we are now.


Alsoanother fix we need.


1. Rocket launcher and grenade blast effects need to work on the other npcs within the blast radius. Tired this out and targeted a clump of npcs fired my rocket got two sets of damage but only one npc got damaged.

Just thinking, for balancing purpose for the assault weapon, or a heavy machine gun.


Make it so that we have to kneel to fire the weapon. This way it creates a distinction so that carbineers won't complain about us since the carbineer line is more like an assault weapon line. Also, to further distance it from a Master Rifleman with a fast shooting T21,


Give the weapon AR2 but require a time delay state change to get into kneeling to fire the weapon. Think of it as setting up a heavy assault machine gun. This will still require that Commandos be in groups for some support, but in return, lays down suppression fire at a high rate, with decent damage. Have the attacks automatically come with intimidation since rushing a machine gun nest is pretty intimitating. Also, time delay to get out of the firing position.


Basically, making it the machine gunner line.


Make the specials use little to no HAM, but in return, when we are in the kneeling machine gunning position, our melee defense goes to nil.

range is good what is a gun if you cant stay far enough away no to get knifed
