Thread: Dev communication... why aren't we here?
Hi
I just would like to thank you for this great game and for all your efforts.
I'm a french guy playing to SWG and i'm taking a great time communicating with people from different countries.

i'd appreciate the devs not forgetting us but should u fix Professions first then work on new dungeons etc?
i mean i know you say you care but it doesn't feel like to me anythings been done about it. thats my point and I do understand u have to fix the jedi proesson first but plz! have commandos next on ur list

Yep, couldn't agree more Garvin. I also extend a welcome thanks to JustG for making an inroad to us. It's appreciated. And thanks to you too Garvin, you represent the Commandos here very well.

Sigh... my alt is heading for Commando... but I wish to God one of the devs played a DE.
I seem to choose the worst professions... my DE main has carbonier for his fighting and my alt is heading towards commando

But read his words...it's a 180 Degree change from the things TH has said to us in the past...Before it was all "You aren't broken", "You just want to be invincible" and "Stop ranting and raving"...JustG is saying to us that he knows we are broken (finally someone we can believe actually plays Commando)...And that we may not get our fixes today, but we will get them...before TH made it sound like the all mystical Combat Balance is our fix...JustG acknowledges that we need more then that...
This means something to us today...it's more then we've received for many months...and it's a step in the right direction to helping create a more positive environment...
I do feel that this is only the first step though....and to be honest, I'm now a bit more willing to wait for some change...I would love to see a bit in patch 7 (the HAR)...a bit more in patch 8...and then hopefully we'll see much love in Patch 9 and 10...I say this because I know Patch 7 and 8 are devoted to DE's for the most part...I'm not going to be Greedy and demand our changes now because every other profession deserves an equal chance...but I a going to demand we get a Patch were we are a main focus....and I think by Patch9 or 10we should be there...I'd rather see something planed out instead of rushed because we were overly demanding...I'd also like to see us have some say and feedback in what happens to us...more then what we've been use to so far (just being told that changes are on the way)...
Again I agree with Garvin. I really don't care how long it takes, that's a matter of circumstance, but the important thing here is that someone on the team understands where we're coming from and why. This is indeed a complete 180 from TH's posts, and hopefully means that someone up there "gets it".
I for one am pleased to hear it, and more than willing to be patient. JustG is correct to point out that other profs need attention more quickly than ours, and that's ok... now that someone sees that we are indeed a broken prof to one degree or another.

The problem is that a lot of players that visit these boards are kids ... or folks that just have no idea of how *busy* a person can get in an intense fast moving corporate environment.
They just have *no* frame of reference ... not even to comprehend how you probably have 2,000 hours of work sitting on your desk that you could do *right* now if a you had a magic wand to wave that would stop time.
Most folks have no idea or frame of reference to know what's it's like to have a steady steam of people (20+) the flow your office constantly needing your time and attention to solve their problems or to approve their direction.
And that is the problem and unfortunetly your not going to win ... but I admire you for actually trying ... some of us *know* what busy is ...
