Please understand that the community at large has no concrete information to go by. We only have your word. And we trust that. For the Top 5 to be taken care of would be great. Now we expect that.

But the lack of comment from SOE, the lack of getting any of the design on test hardware for Alpha, the lack of anyone in the community understanding WHY it's going to be good to be this or that profession or template, is beyond frustrating.

Wouldn't it be better for SOE to proclaim the "blood, sweat, tears" loudly by telling the community what's been going on, that they've expanded the scope to cover X, Y and Z?

But I've said enough.

I made a post about 8 days ago or so with 5 simple fixes, and it was largely ignored:

More flamer speed

More flamer accuracy

More ranged def

More melee def

More def vs kd




Actually...it wasn't. Your list was the basis for this thread


As for the developers, its a fine line. Remember, we're just one piece in a greater puzzle...even though all of these are old issues or suggestions for fixes, does that mean they keep an entire archive of suggestions? They most likely do, but its probably too large of a list to review each and every day...


By bringing these up over and over, we try and remind the devs about them. As I said it was worth a shot, but the developers are firmly on the plan of nothing much in regards to combat until the CU.


Which my friends, is now entirely a whole different beast...it has evolved into something different from what the current CU Testers have seen. Needless to say, the SWG we see now will not be the SWG we see Post-CU. Things are heating up....we're bitter (same here) about a lot of the delays and false hopes (like the CU docs being out right after JTL...), and we're all just about in the same boat. The future however, looks bright....and with a lot of explosions.

Do you mean to say that it has changed from what the ALPHA testers have seen?

Its not my intention to fire at you with both barrels, but as it stands you are my communication between what I think/feel/want to the people that make these decisions.


I, for the life of me...Can't figure out how some of those people keep their jobs.


If they are dead set on doing nothing, then why even waste time with a Pre-Curb "Quick Fixes" thread? It serves no purpose other than to get people's hopes up (admittedly people not exactly with an intimate nature or knowledge of history of the devs).

We're seeing the culmination of that...and damn, the CU is better than ever. Im not insinuating that there will be a delay (hell id be pissed now if there was gonna be another, but I have a hunch there won't be)....just saying, the CU got better...


When the Beta opens up and you guys jump into it...I would suggest going inside with an open mind. From the looks of it, it'll be unlike anything we've seen yet.




doesnt matter im not old enough, even though to play the game i need parental consent and whatnot...i wish they would change that, b/c i mean...you could get consent..but they dont care enough to give it

Well, Beta checks the birthdate you have in your profile...you can get a SOE CSR to change it (have your parent speak to them online or via phone), and they can change it to the birthdate that is on the credit card that you use to pay for the game...


Its not too hard to change, and basically thats your parental consent...

StarNick, have the devs been asked to simply stack the ranged weapons with the F.S. ranged speed tree properly? That alone would be of GREAT use to us commandos.


I ground out FS Ranged Speed, not for Jedi, but to have a better flamethrower. As of now, I wasted 4 skill points and a hours of my time.

Neat...cyber I think you're our first Purple-titled commando! Chilastra gained its first purple-titled community member a few hours ago...


As for Ranged FS skill mods...Ill check to see if its already been asked/answered (and probably already has)...

Basically concerning the FS range mods...nothing new in the status. The reason why this list of quick fixes were shot down still applies....everything combat related is being devoted to the CU...and for good reason (even though fixes like this would be nice)...never know, as its on their bug lists...

I'll believe it when I see it...


Until then it is nothing more than speculation and conjecture.


Next Friday...March 4th. That is just about my cutoff time for info on the CU DOCS (not weapons, not armor, but buff changes...the actual **edit** docs), info on when the Alpha testing starts, and info on when Beta starts....If nothing is said by then.....I am not paying 60 bucks a month for this anymore.


There is no point.

Well, thanks for at least trying StarNick, though to be honest I don't think any of the veteran Commandos here expected any differently seeing as we're used to being treated this way by SOE by now.

SOETyrant WHAT ?? thats's terrible, devote the dev team from the CU to fixing this problem immediately, and triple saber damage in the meantime.
