But how long do the Devs think we are going to wait?
We have been told for over a year that fixes are coming, but most people aren't seeing the actual progress. We are only getting bits and pieces from the correspondents. There has only been 1 CURB feature in the past 6-8 months, and that was just general overview stuff thats been around.
I'm tired of seeing "92 point" professions out damage our 169 point profession at every turn.
I'm tired of being excluded from the new game content because the MOB's have AR2 or 3 and 70%+ heat and acid resists.
I'm tired of not having any non-consumable AP Weapons.
I'm tired of our consumable weapons being hard to find (on live servers), because of their complexity to craft.
I'm tired of the Devs throwing just about every other profession "a bone" while ignoring our long going problems.
I'm tired of the Devs saying "soon" on the CURB.
I guess I've just gotten a little cynical over these past few months. Heck if it wasn't for playing on the Test Center, I probablly would have canceled several months ago.

Look, we are all tired of it. I know that i am. The fact of the matter is this, these next two days are going to determine alot of things. But at the moment i am hopeful. It looks like we will be able to do things that Commandos have only dreamed about doing and hopefully the delays have stopped. But we shall see.

* Fix nades to not damage the tosser, like Boom droids and CM poison/diseases.
(Best would be to make those hurt the tosser/controller too..just so they can feel the pain. Or just make them hit friend and foe
)

Oh dear... ive just come to the commando profession because im a pyromaniac. At commando xx4x i can do 6k damage in about 15 seconds... when i was a pistoleer i could use a fanshot say 12 times in 15 seconds... thats probably about 20k worth of damage! I knew the commando prof had issues but what ive experienced is a real joke!
Looking at these threads it seems like a lot of you have been waiting a year or more for a fix. Do you honestly think anything will be done... And if so how many years will you have waited? The next star wars trilogy will be out before the long awaited CU...
How easy would it be to add some state defences (as most of the combat ive had to do so far is close ranged - melee distance if i want to use specials)! Up the melee and ranged defences, i used to do programming - it wouldnt be any more than changing a few digits...
I have caused more wounds using my de.10 and torso shot than with my flamethrower... if i wasnt being serious it would be funny. Surely a flamethrower should give out massive wounds... massive burn DOTs... and a hell of a lot more damage... the 12k i hear from flame cone 2 would be awesome if it didnt take 3 days to fire it and move on to the next combat action.
As for the HAR... lol... The projectile heavy weapons and grenades are hilarious too... if the flamethrower wasnt so fun would anyone actually bother with this prof?
Maybe thats the plan - nerf it so bad no one uses it and then just pull it away without anyone even realising its gone... There should be some reason for it being so useless... I was incapped by a bunch of thunes... thunes............ lol!
Bloody Thunes, normally you pull there trunk and there head falls off...
Ive only been at commando for a short amount of time but man its funny...

You are correct. It's not hard for them to fix many of these issues. They just don't want to do it. It's sad. It's inexcusable. But it just is.

Well, thanks for at least trying StarNick, though to be honest I don't think any of the veteran Commandos here expected any differently seeing as we're used to being treated this way by SOE by now.
As it happens, I managed to get one of my Ninja Spies to lay their hands on the memo of a meeting by the Devs where they discussed your pist, and have reprinted it below for the perusal of the commando community...

Actually...what you have SOEtyrant saying here, is somewhat what TH told me in the first reply (well cept for the Wombat part...and that they weren't unreasonable..just the devs aren't doing anything major combat wise pre-CU)....totally bypassed any sort of memo

Suppousedly both of them like Commando, and play (at least TH) as one on the internal Sandbox...
Of which, I may add...TH has been just taunting us like crazy...
The good news on that tho, is the sandbox may in fact be a week or less away....*really really hopes*

Personally I think we should have the same defenses as Pistoleers. At lest they can use their specials up to whatever range the pistol they have equiped. But they get all of the followingby the time a player gets toMaster Pistoleer:
Dodge +105
Melee Defense +45
Defense vs. Stun +40
Defense vs. Blind +40
Defense vs. Dizzy +40
Defense vs. Knockdown +50
Defense vs. Posture Change +20
But they get all of that and they aren't limited to melee range on their specials like Commandos are.
But when I'm looking at NPC's that are AR2 or 3with 100% Heat Resist and 65%+ Acid Resist then our profession has become quite useless on the Battlefield and in the GCW.

We still got the blaster pistol & launchers. And I don't know what NPC has a resist. agaist fire.

That makes me wonder about them. I mean, what do they do to profs they DON'T like?
