Do NOT panic guys. Im bringing this up in the corr forums.
Apparently the system just got HORRIBLY skewed...leaving our profession unable to grind if novice (damn).
Checking on things, trying to get answers....please bear with me folks.

So what the point of mastering commando? get a cpl blocks for Heavy Weapon speed but really yuo can make up for with generic mods. Yuo can Master Smuggler and Pistoleer and 0/4/0/0 BH and be able to fire a plasma FT with 66 speed and 163 accuracy. What the point of being a master commando now?

I see what you are talking about now... wow. Will wait to hear back on what Stern says. That is horribly screwed up if that is the case. Sounds like some other mixes would be more proficient with our weapons than we are with this setup.

I want out specials back. We bought into the whole game that "our weapons define us" but they no longer define us at all. We need something other than a few speed and accuracy points for our proffession. Not going to give us weapon certs give us what every other proffessions has SPECIALS taht only a commando TRAINED in that SKILL has!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yea as other proffessions actually get specials to go with their mods.

Starnick, I hate to point this out to you but they had to have thought of how it would effect commando when they made this decision. They decided that it doesn't matter. As i said in a previous converstion, they think they know best and they will do what ever they want.

Thanks for that clarification. Now please explain how now how other profs because of CL can throw our grenades? And use heavy weapons better than us with the right template dabbling due to general ranged speed and accuracy also granting them more specials as we have NONE included in our trees

Problem isALL of commando's weapons fall into number 1, meaning there is very little reason to waste SP on commando boxes as again you can fire a Plasma Ft with 66 speed and 163 accuracy without even training novice commando. No other proffession lacks both a single special and a single weapon certfication. JUST COMMANDOS!! YEAH we are unique.

Then why aren't there weapon certs in the boxs and why as a 2222 pistoleer can i use a flamerthrower?

To summarize, we are the only ones that use heavy weapons. Other profs have rifles, carbs, and pistols mixed in, but we are the heavy weapons experts... Why take commando at all with no specials if you can use the weapons as effectively as another template stacking on more specials and mods from other proffesions just using commando weapons with them? Our weapons are what makes this prof... Carbineer, Rifleman, Pistoleer... they have mods that make theirs.

There are still various issues to hammer out. I expect changes on this as much as anything else on TC.

Thank you Helios. Basically that was what I was trying to allude to everyone...but now its public 
However, there is something seriously borked with the system...as ANY weapon currently can be equiped by ANY avatar over CL 54. Already had our fellow CL 75 Master Commando try it.
Not to mention....mine, and everyone's CL levels (1 for most...3 for Vin who was originally a CL 78) have dropped that Ive talked to.
Edit: Also, I hope you're aware that the Launcher Pistol is currently giving Pistol experience...making it very hard to level up to a Rocket Launcher...
