Just want to say one thing....all you guys are taking this way to seriously, I agree with AlecYoung 100%--its just a game and if you feel that becoming commando in order to use grenades to get combat xp fast and grind jediwill make your game more enjoyable then go ahead, go for it--have fun....

I think most can understand concerns about spamming the same question repeatedly, in which caseSOE modscan come in and close the threads, till people learn to check the sticked posts. But to simply be annoyed because people want to use commando to accelerate thier progression to FS is silly. How many commands use pistoleer specials with the launcher pistol? How many use the LLC to change from BH to commando? How many master commandos are there really? I would bet the majority of commandos are only flame 4. And while it may seem quicker to grind FS with commando, that really isn't accurate. Some one could just as easily max out three weapons with combat experience, but without paying the large amounts of money for the grenades.
If people are upset because commando is being used as a means to a goal, I say they need to get perspective and stop worrying about others. If the real issue is the spamming of the boards, then the correspondant should be more selective in the phrasing he uses to clearly identify that as the issue.
Actually maxing out three combat proffessions would give u(2.7 mil weapons xp= 90k FS) + (270k combat = 90k FS) total of 180k FS. I would imagine that would take close to a buff to do.
If you have a master proffession and throing grenades (therms, dets, protons) you can cap 300k combat in 2 and 1/2 lairs of ginat baz nitch level 199 missions. If you get 3 caps in that 300k FS ina buff. I hear people get 4 and someone who wrote a guide in teh FS forums said he could get 500k FS in a buff. There's now way you can compete with that with any other combat method. It used to be possible to compete with is before they fixed the bugged Geo caves but no longer.
The basis of the problems is what will the short cut do to commandos. remember the FS grinders only need the proffession to get to an end and if no longer serves the purpose they drop it however those who play to be commandos what about them. When SOE comes in and starts messing with grenades to take away the short cut what happens to the guys/and gals who actually want to throw grenades in PVE and PVP rather than just grinding? Do they change the xp type? Do they change how gernades work? Do they change the power of grenades? Make them slower to trhow then they are now?
Understand reasonable solutions don't seem to be in the SOE dictionary. As noted before look at smugglers. Since Jedi and BH decided to abuse the smugglers skill of feign death now look at it. They basically dissolved the ability. No big deal now to that Jedi who no longer needs the skill but what about the master smuggler who isn't a Jedi or a BH? The same is quite possible here. SOE believes to fix a problem u destroy it. To fix commando's dmg modifier they destoryed. All they had to do was tweak but instead they ruined it. What about the power of BH originally? Could have tweaked instead they broke it. What about CH they could have tweaked it a bit instead it from overpowered to a joke? Now what about Commandos since there grenades are being abused what will SOE do to fix it? The past doesn't look good for the commando where as the FS grinder says who cares as long as they don't change it before I'm done.

what everyone doesnt realise is , no matter how fast they grind that xp , they still have to wait for the phase shifts, and they wanna unlock certain trees not just whatever comes up that phase.. so if they choose to grind 1,225,000 force xp in 2, 6.25 hour sessions ..there still gonna have to wait . which gives the normal player ample time to grind in the 3 week phase..but leaves the more pricy nade grind player more time to do other things in game. but the cost associated with doing this is far greater than the normal grinder. who benefits in the end? the Wsmith selling nades at 80k a crate lol.

Soloing is much slower now and as a low level padawan you will find yourself exhausted after every kill and have to take time to regen. Also you can't take on multiple mobs. You have to pull one at a time. I think the timescale for grinding like this is about 2 years! Seriously it is worth grouping for the sheer amount of exp you will gain. Admittedly you will have bh encounters but strong non-jedi skills will help you out here combined with force healing.
I was used to soloing on Endor pre CU so it was a bit of big step to group up with a bunch of people and head off into the countryside but to be honest it was worth it. Group hunting is something I enjoy so much more than tedious solo grinding. Once you hit mid template bh encounters are not so much of a worry any more as most Jedi with a few skills should be able to handle a lone bh. If a group appears then take off!

to get exp your target must me at the same level, so you are level 80 it must be level 80 , but only with a full defender template you can solo one target at your level and it takes very much time to kill it.
the only way to grind these days (i finished my template in the first week after cu) is to group. at best a full group(8 pepole) with at least one master tank (jedi master defender, tkm or bh), one doc (jedi healer,doc or cm) and one high damage fighter (rifleman or swordsman). the rest can be filled with padawan or any other combat profession that need to grind. so the padawan will need a "safe house" because there are alot of bh out there who only hunt targets under 175k (lucky if your bounty is that high already)
where to hunt? on all planet where you can place house (so you might run from the bh)
what to hunt? any non agressive creatures from the mission terminal (they have the level you need), that way the tank can lure away the target without being over run by the creatures
