I am sure they gave high heat resists, to insure the cave was not 'easy' for anyone. are you sure about the droidekas? I saw a commando completely waste one with Flamethrower.

If they are like the other Droidekas I've faced elsewhere then they don't have high heat resists (only saw one Droidekas in the Geon Lab when I was there)...Mostly what I saw were Crazed Geonsians and Kiwi's...both with 80 to 90% heat resists I believe...I also saw a Kliknak (sp?) with high heat resists (didn't check the % on them all)...I tested my FT on most of the NPC's I faced and no good...I've also seen many posts in various forums that confirm that the majority of the Cave is Heat Resistent...

And this may surprise you tomb, but I think this is a good thing...It's a challenge...the only problem I see is that we aren't given good alternate options besides using dabbled skills of another profession...it would be nice to have another weapon of our own that works well IN the cave...And no, I don't think the cave should be solo'able overall...But at the same time I don't think commandos should be as weak as they are once in the cave...but honestly...I can live with it...I really like the cave the way it's set up right now...and if our HAR enhancements are good, we may have a valid alt weapon to use there...

I am 4443 Heavy Swordsman my friend, and a mid level TKA can still kick my ass. dont tell me otherwise, I am on the ground, dizzied, blinded, stunned, then warcryed. LMAO, and all at 1.0 speed, marvelous.

That sounds a little higher than mid level. In order to get the dizzy/kd move you must be 0-4-0-0 tk to begin with. To get them both as seperate moves 0-1-1-0. And at 1.0 speed? I'm waving the flag on that one.

I'm sitting a little higher than that and still can't get unarmed 2 out at that speed let alone /unarmed dizzy;/unarmedknockdown;/unarmedstun;/unarmedblind;then warcry. If a mid level tk owned you with that then you deserved it. The man obviously can play his character better than you can play yours.

Sounds like your out to get every profession nerfed with the exception of rifleman and heavy swordsman. Pretty soon I'll be seeing you on the forums crying for a nerf on wookie hug because it hurt your back.

Well. I feel sorry for you. I really do tometaophion.

oh yeah. I forgot to mention the doc that repeatedly drug my corpse from hell. He was a Pikeman and holding his own. I have respect for that man. However I have little respect for you.

well well hehe looks like in publish 7 they are going to have blankets for doctors to put out the fires. So now we have no good DOT and they can put them out with out water? Wasnt that one reason they nerfed us?????????

man i use to love commando and was level IV heavy weps and flame Thrower thinking of going master just for the heck of it. But now. I droped heavy weps and I cant see going any further in any trees untill the combat changes to see if that helps us at all becuase right now well its a dieing profession.

So what does the wookie hug do

Omg. Its part of the secret profession all wookies must complete in order to wear armor. Its part of the wookie dry hump tree. Wookie hug 2 is pretty wicked. I would watch out for that.

I notice that you stated that the Heavy Weapons preformed well, but you also noted that you stayed at the mouth of the cave...it should be noted that if you enter the cave, for the most part (at least with my tests) I don't believe any of our Consumable Heavy Weapons will work...that would leave you with just the LP or possible Grenades (not sure if they work indoors...keep forgetting to test)...

Did you actually try any of our Heavy Weapons in the Cave rather then just at the mouth? If we can use them in the cave then that's great...if not, it's a prime example of our broken state and the need for better weapons/specials...

And before I forget. I tested out the heavy acid rifle in the genosan cave. Despite the lack of stacking mods you might want to get one and pair up with a few other people to tank with. Just remember to kneel because going prone always seems to make accuracy worse with heavy weapons (is that a bug?), and keep your distance. Your going to be limited to support and nothing else. But from the 3.5k of damage I saw off of acid single 1 vice the 1.2k of damage (averages) I saw off of flame single 2, you could say that it justifies the means. Especially where group survival is concerned. But the time delay and lack of accuracy is just plain maddening.

If the devs ever get mods to stack then the HAR would be well worth the expense. And yes I have carried one since the beggining of the grind to commando. Found out if I hung out at 35m and spammed overchargeshot 2 I could get some satifying results when I connected. Same goes for the flame thrower. That is about the only special that we have with a range greater than 16m. But each shot takes two condition off of your weapon and does an average of 2-3k of damage. Saw a couple of high 4k's with the flame thrower.

Um, try to go to the little cave on yavin called the genosian base. lmao. You are such a liar, do you know how many dead masters there were, lol, you people have not been to the cave if you dont know what I am talking about.

uh....that's where i was. if you don't believe me, that's fine. i know what i did. all the other people there know what i did. everyone begging to be in my group knew what i did. that place isn't that hard with a good set of buffs and some armor. yeah, the crazed geonoshans can use stun damage with those new pistols, but if you get in their grill, they pull out a melee weapon. also, one word for you.....warcry. learn it, use it, love it, until they nerf it in publish 7. and if you bothered to read my post, you'll see that i mentioned that i took out the acklay....twice. only place in the game that has that is the geo lab. that thing only has like 100k HAM. i've tanked krayts and axkva min before. both of those have over 450k HAM. the acklay was cake compared to them. also, all the enraged kwi's, enhanced klikniks, and cavern spiders would attack the acklay, keepin her busy for a bit.

and yeah, there were plenty of dead people when i went too. most of them were master tka's, bounty hunters and pistoleers. all the people that weren't dead were the swordsmen, riflemen, and the defensive mod stacker templates. learn some tactics, and maybe you could do better in there.

oh, wanna know what loot i did get in there? lets see, some royal carafe jelly (just a relic), some geonoshian rations (again, relics), 2 reinforced core schematics, a few geonoshian sword cores, kwi adrenal something or other (food that boosts health, action, mind by 100 and one of the secondaries in each stat by 900 for 1 minute), kliknik shells (used to enhance chitin armor), and a geonoshian ball (relic yet again). hard to get those anywhere else, and i'm not paying or trading for these things. well, maybe the sword cores, but i'd rather find a schematic and some yellow or red power cubesfor my scythe.

don't be all upset because you couldn't get past the first room. i know its tough. you have to be able to dish out some damage. those enraged kwi's are prolly the toughest mobs in that cave next to the acklay, and there's one right after the first room. and if you don't kill it quick enough, another one will pop out and start attacking you. also, don't forget to get the passcodes and the pass key to get that far. you can't just burst run your way to the end. master swordsman, pick up master brawler, pick up the meditation line in tka for powerboost and wound healing, get a set of good composite armor, pay for a set of buffs, buy a crate of brandy. then maybe, just maybe you might be able to last a bit longer in there. but then again, if a mid level tka can take you out, probably not.

I hate to say it. But seeing that I was there. Those heavy swordsman rocked. And thanks to about a dozen particle beam cannons (not cheap) here is what I was able to loot. And FYI, I was able to match the damage of a heavy swordsman with those. As for loot.

18 white genosian power cells
1 genosian datapad
3 genosian blasters
6 genosian sword cores
80k credits
and 2 genosian sword core schematics

That was pretty impressive work on the heavy swordsman. They were one of the few professions that actually had an edge there. Also note worthy. Rifleman were kickin tail with t-21's and flurryshot.
And what dead masters are you reffering too?? Everyone died at one point or another. The docs were making a killing out there rezzing and buffing.

well, i went to the cave this morning before it was overly camped with another heavy swordsman (not a master. he was 4443 as well). we completely owned that place. we even took on the acklay twice, but sadly no loot from that thing. i would use the hammer on everything except the cavern spider. those i used my pike on. i would be swarmed by them, and just use my area attacks. 10 seconds later, about 8 dead spiders at my feet. [sarcasm] they should really nerf the swordsman if they can own the place like that.[/sarcasm] but to be honest, i bet i could take on that place solo. all you need is a good set of buffs, and some tactics.

it was great seeing all the tka's in there trying to kill steal me when i had a mob engaged. a few headhits, and my target was toast. and my hammer's max damage is only 465, not 650 like some of the others i've seen. i had 3 guys trying to attack the same mob i was. guess who got the loot rights?

so, tometaophion, you can quit your sob story. commandos don't own everything in the game. do we have strong specials and powerful weapons? heck yeah we do. we also spend the points on it. but my melee tank can beat just about any commando out there in pvp. he can also kill steal them like no other. so again, your claims are worthless.
