I feel the biggest strength of a commando is being able to use the Flame Thrower and our heavy Weapons. The Flame thrower because it is the best PVE gun in the game. You can easily rip through creatures with this magnificent weapon. Heavy Weapons are great because they canb destroy factional targets with ease. We are heavy hitters when we do hit, and im proud to be one
2) What do you feel is the biggest Weakness of being a Commando in the Current System?
The biggest weakness of being a commando is having a broken weapon, several infact. The Heavy Acid Rifle, which in theory is an awsome weapon just doesnt make the cut when playing. It is a coppy of the Flame thrower, and weaker too, so no one has any incentitive to use it. Our Grenades, while being awsome bombs, usually destroy the hunter more then the hunted. How much fun is it to be playing and kill yoorself? It really takes alot out of the profession and the game.
Another weakness of commando is that no one pays attention to it. There are no Weaponsmiths anymore that will make you large amounts of any commando weapon! They cost too much in resources and in player time to really use them. When no one can use them, they become lost and forgotten.
The last major weakness is the skill mods commandos get. We stay inside melee range, but have no melee defense modifiers. How are we supposed to stand up to animals that we cant defend ourselves against. I guess people say we have a strong DoT, but it is definately not strong enough to defend ourselves when we face rancors and harder-to-kill creatures that have over 60% heat resistance, thus making our weapons useless
3) What change do you hope to see most in the Commando Revamp that, if this one thing happens at least, will make for a better Commando?
The one change i really hope to see in commando is a fix for all of our weapons.
Make them usable, make people want to build and sell them. Make them sought after.
Change the HAR into its own unique weapon, and make the LP a good gun with its own specials.
Fix Grenades so their distances are corrected, and make commando the heavy gunship it should be.
4) Do you have a character on Test Center and if so, how long have you had that character?
Yes, i have 5. 3 i havent logged into since october 2003, one i've had since january 2004, and one i've had since they started testing jedi and MBH on TC.

Little known fact...Ivoni is a girl...One of the most legendary Commandos is a female...yep...
I will havea discission posted tomorrow...gonna try and find out a bit more about the how process for the Sandbox and report back, what I can, tomorrow night with my selections...

Lets see, not damage... since our DPS is lower than any profession. Not speed because we are slower than a frozen hutt. Commando is the lag class. Its the class that if you get 10 together with LPs and have a free-for-all in Coronet... you'll get sent to 0,0. If you double-click real quick on the RL the lag will cause you to fire off 2 weapons at the same time. Same with grenades. We are the class that SOE does not want us to play simply because it is in our power to shutdown their system... Accuracy, defenses, DPS, lack of any non-disposable AP weapons (even though i'm almost positive those don't use AP properly), the fact that we are essentially a one-trick pony that just broke its leg and is being carried away to the man in white waiting with a shotgun. We have no access to high-level content since we have no AP or a variety of damage types to counteract the AP. We are not self-sufficient, a master commando needs to dabble in other trees in order to survive any content above a gnort. The greatest problem with dabbling is that none of our trees supplement other trees like the BH pistol/carbine or the Smuggler Dirty fighting. Most people could just dabble into novice just for the LP and wouldn't even bother with any of our trees. Our class isn't dabbler friendly anymore and it makes me sad

Another non-disposable weapon with a tree. The rest of the stuff like tapes and 'nades are just fixes, but adding a new weapon and putting it in so that you can actually use it effectively would make commando a worthy profession and more like a commando rather than a BBQ lighter.
4) Do you have a character on Test Center and if so, how long have you had that character? (does not disqualify you if you haven't had one)
Yes... kinda sorta. I started a character on TC way back when Ahazi was down just to take up some time. Actually played it for a while and had that character when some of my guildies came over to TC to have some PvP fun. In truth, I was testing different aspects of PvP to try with my Ahazi Char, but my guildies took it a little far and ended up getting all our characters on TC deleted (you kill one TC Jedi and its over.) As it stands I have a bad taste from the TC population, and got the same bad taste when I got kicked off TC2 for attacking overt rebels. I live for PvP, and i have always done it as a commando.
I want to get picked as a commando to test this stuff out. I know I'll end up doing it on live anyway, but I want to be in there as a commando tester and actually have someone listen to my ideas (or at least pretend to.)
The fact of the matter is that I am a PvP commando. I have been effectively PvPing since launch day (day 2technically) I Mastered Commando literally the weekend before the huge update that"fixed" the profession and made the flamethrower the allmighty weapon. I have endured Commando through all the changes and have never once dropped it... and I still PvP. Picking into BH with the change I have even become a Jedi Hunting Commando and am currently 16-0 on my hunts. I want Commando to be an effective PvP class and in order for that to happen there needs to be an effective PvP commando in the group, if I am not chosen... please, choose someone who's sole purpose of going into testing is to test any new changes against every single other person in the sandbox (and do me a personal favor and set some devs on fire)
