Just was wondering how someone is supposed to be able to do harder missions without having a pet... If they take away my At-St which I grinded 3 days nonstop for, how am I supposed to make money? Kill high level mobs? I have no skill points for CH... I mean commando weapons are nice, but not nice enough to take on 5 Specforce generals. Honestly, and yes, if we can't use the at-st's that MOST people worked very hard to get, then why should CH be able to use their pets on things. Its the same thing. They're both pets, if one if them can be used for PvE then the game is totally unbalanced and the people that are Non-CH have no way of being able to complete tougher missions.

The thing is that if Holo wants to make that change for the AT-ST and say that the reason is that its Military hardware / equipment / troops then they really have to extent it toALL Faction Pets. They are all Military Items and sound be used in the prosecution of the War not to round up dissident Durni. That would also give the CH a niche. They tank vs. non-Faction mobs. As far as PvP goes, if you challenge an Impto a duel and he agrees then you are in effect attacking an appointed representative of the Empireand all bets are off. Either way....you can't use the "Military" excuse for 1 pet and not judge them all accordingly.

Again, they shoot and hit the wrong target...

Instead of making at-st use based on faction ranks, they nerf it completely for PvE...

great...

the one-man-zoo-commander with his "zerg kill!" can do anything while his pets don't even suffer permadeath, but someone who spends 10-20 hours grinding faction points to finally get something that allows him to take on some tougher mobs solo... well, why would anyone use an at-st anymore? commandos can kill them in no time, permadeath active, no more use in PvE?

right, they will vanish out of sight

hooray for the zerg commanders...

Let me get this straight... You grinded for a whole 3 days to get the most powerful single item in the game? Sorry, but I have no sympathy. Three days is nothing in an MMORPG when you're talking about something as powerful as the AT-ST.Now you're crying because you can't farms hundreds of thousands of easy credits with your 3-day obtainable super weapon of death?

Regarding CH pets... You do realize that one AT-ST can demolish any CH pet combo in the game, right? So you spent 3 days to get your AT-ST that can destroy the pets of an MCH who spent skill points to get. The MCH also spent hours finding the pets and up to another 5 days waiting for the pets to grow.

Actualy, no where did I say I don't think using faction pets in pve is good. So no, not all Imperials are throwing a fit. I said do whatever you want to it, cause I am sick of hearing everyone cry. They can never make a star wars MMORPG period. Because there will always be a side that wants balance and a side that wants it to be more accurate. When people are in control of the experience, and devs just do whatever they can to stop everyone from crying, it won't happen.

I simply pointed out that you all act like CH is so hard to raise, such a tough profession to get too. In a few hours I got qualified for it, and got 2 levels in it. I just said I am sick of having to pick classes to be viable. So once again, unless you missed it.... screw having to take pistoleer and screw having to be a ch to solo.

Do you know why a lot of Imperials seem to do better, its not just the AT-ST's. Its that a lot of the hardcore people are imperials, and a lot of the casual players are rebels. On my server, you have to be in a guild to be an Imperial. There are no pickup groups, nothing really. Everytime I go to anchorhead, there are people always hanging out and looking for a good time. It is a trade off I gues, but I don't like doing the majority.

I am really tired of hearing everyone cry. They should take faction pets out all together. Nevermind that as a non human I pay a lot more than 9k for an AT-ST, or a few 100 for a faction pet. I will happily throw all the faction I have obtained (which is a lot more than any rebel, to obtain whatever they need. Once again, I don't care either way. Just remember, you have to be overt and in the right situation to all an AT-ST. You don't get 1/4 the experience a creature handler would from any fight. AT-ST's are mainly used as a support method in case things go wrong. But everything has to be fair, so the rebels can have something for nothing. Nevermind your inferior resources, bank account, or anything. The only faction rewards we should even have should be flags for the Rebels, a toy AT-ST, and a soap box for everyone. That way rebels can sit around burning Imperial flags all day, the Imperials can still play with there former pets, and a soap box so everyone can get on it and talk about how unjust things are and how they have been wronged.

Once again, why the hell are we all bitching about this on our board. No point in commandos arguing with each other, take it to a thread somewhere else. Ivoni only posted it as informative.

Like I said before, I dont even own an at-st and probably wont for a while. And also for the record, I dont have a problem with the fix in general because I think it makes logical sense that we shouldnt be able to use military property for PVE purposes. Never once did I state that I didnt think its a good idea so before you start calling me a hipocrit, re read what I did say.

What I said was that its BS that they want to put "realistic" restrictions on faction pets but not hold the same belief true across the board for CH pets. They can say its not realistic that imperials be able to use the at-st for a tank, well if you watched any star wars movie or read any books, its also not realistic that CH's be able to use a graul to fight in factional pvp or factional pve. Thats the truth, like it or not, and if you are going to hold 1 side true to that belief, then it is only fair that you also do the same with the other side.

AT-ST are "FACTION PETS" bought with FACTION POINTS and it seem normal to be used only in FACTION RELATED FIGHTS.

CH pets requires skill points (for the profession),skill to tame or cash to pay.Nowhere is it mentioned that it as anything to do with it being limited to faction.

As for teh smartarses saying then it should be limited to PvE since its not FACTION RELATED.I will answer "is your gun faction related? Is your armor faction related? Is your skill faction related?"

The issues is faction pets being used in PvM (Player Vs Mobs (monsters))

Well thats the end of faction pets, outside battlefields at least. If they pvp only whats the point in spending 9k on a pet that will go down in a dot during any decent sized pvp, the cheaper pets are even worse! Not that I use faction pets, but with the way the TEF is working they will be useless for the time being.

In case anyone is wondering why a master armorsmith is on your board, my alt is a commando

Holo, to do this would be absolutely stupid. This wound mean that fraction pets can no longer attack monsters like maulers. The imperial army is also a police force, supposedly to protect the innocent civilians of the empire. If a dangerous animal gets too close, ya send in the men in white to go mess it up, so that Joe civilian can live his life oblivious to what is really going on in the empire.

Yes, AT-STs are very powerful. Yes, according to the books and movies, the empire was infinately more powerful than the rebels, and the rebels won because of luck (and the force).

Right now players have the ability to take out an at-st. Its called the commando, and they rightly kick butt.
