please master synn if all profession will be levelled, the game will be linear, commando it's done fordestroy all but in short combat, so don't nerf nothing and give use the 2,5 melee defense point plz.

would also like to add, that, if you're stupid enough to let us get close enough to do our specials in which other ranged professions can just spam from any distance, then don't whine, it's your fault...I hate it when people complain after they were stupid enough to stand still while a commando is charging at you full speed guns blazin' and does a limited but Powerful special.


Oh, and no, this profession isn't the one that misses the most, my god it's obvious you never been a pikeman before (not in a rant way).....I have been to more than both these worlds, but Pikeman by far misses the most.....at least ONE of ourCommandoweapons have "+" next to some of their range modifiers, Pikeman's ONLY elite weapon, the Vibro Lance,has a -35ish Range modifier for ALL ranges, aaaand, the Vibro Lance isn't the best weapon, it has lower stats (Except the range Modifier, it's actually higher compared to the best weapon) than the Long Vibro Axe, which is exactly-55 to ALL range modifiers, which is a Polearm level 3 in brawler weapon, because we don't have any certs whatsoever in Polearm 4.

Oh, and good job Ivoni, some facts that need to get out to professions who haven't tried playing Commando.


I believe in the thought that, you should never point fingers and nerf call other professions unless you have actually tried and know the facts yourself. Of course, some people don't have as much time to play =0).

Good work everyone on all the stats/info.


Just a few suggestions:


Rather than have everyone point-blank when they shoot you, do it at the weapons best and worst effective range. Like a T-21 may miss a lot point-blank, do it at 60m or whatever it's sweet spot is, and he mayrarely miss if he's a Master Rifleman and you both stand still.


Same with the pistol test, point blank is what pistols are supposed to be good at. Well some pistols are point blank and others slightly back some. Stand at 64m and try with a pistol. Now FWG5's are the most accurate pistol, so that would help a lot with accuracy. I say try it with a DX2.


Remember though, the difference between just a Master Pistoleer and a Master Pistoleer with BH Pistol 4 is big. With BH Pistol 4, he gains +50 to both Pistol Speed and Pistol Accuracy. The BH also has Master Marksman, which adds +10accuracy and +5 speed. So if the Pistoleer doesn't have Master Marksman the BH Pistol 4 player with Master Pistoleer will have a total of +55 speed and +60 accuracy compared to "just" a Master Pistoleer.


At 64m with a DX2, a Master Pistoleer might not fair as well as some may think. Although luck does play a part as well.


I'm especially interested with the Commando weapons like the Acid Rifle missing so much. Is it that bad at point blank or is it just not at it's best effective range?

We have not brushed this aside. Many commandos have come forward and asked for something to be added to the game to enable people to stop the flame DOT in PvP. Apparently, the DOT cannot be "healed" during combat, unless the recipient runs into water. The commandos feel that there should be an in-game device which can be crafted which would stop the DOTs effects. Currently, Combat Medics can make poison packs to stop the poison DOT. Create something in the game thatcan be used against the flame DOT and other players in PvP will be happier. Even though PvP is a relatively small part of the game, it seems to generate an inordinate amount of complaints. Perhaps this will help.


All profession issues are to be posted in the Correspondent Forum. Since this issue has been posted there, by me, please recognize that we're doing what we can to correct this issue.

The carbeener i fought before averaged 700+ a hit with crippling shot ... no misses even though I have TKA also... and that was beforeshe got Kryat Enhanced. I shudder to think what it is now.


Also hte solution to front loaded damage is *drum roll* ARMOR! I didn't even do half the life bar on the carbeener per hit with flame2vs. composite. And I was dead every time before the first burn even set in.


All that from a recent fight just 2 nights ago. If you enter PvP without armor your life expectancy, no mater what class you are, is much reduced. If you don't believe me go buy a decent set and try it. You will start wearing it every PvP session.



I use /aim before my specials and still miss 1/5 of the time... may not seem like much but when you count on that front loaded damage in a duel to even have a chance, that miss rate becomes some what more significant.

You remember right, but ask a rifleman what a T21 does to your mind pool. A DLT20a allows you to use FlushingShot2 and equivalents throughout the entire attack, even if it takes about 4 hrs to win. A T21 will get you out of the game in 10 sweconds by draining your mind. And who cares about the Damage of a T21, when a DLT20a can incap you in 8 seconds if you wear full composite. A commando can't even close in in 8 seconds, especially if one of those 8 shots is a Starleshot2.


And, btw skyrmir, Froant loded damage combined with a high delay and a horrible miss chance is not as good a trick as you may hope. trust me, the only reason i almost never lost a PvP fight was my Bloodseeker mite, not my Flamesingle2. Without the bloodseeker mite i'd be dead a hundred times over. So, basically, it was me as a CH that won the fights, not as a commando.

I guess you missed the part where you were one hit by the flamethrower with no misses in (as you put it) .8 seconds. You proved nothing except the one hitting power of the FT is ridiculous.


On the other hand though, I'mnot complaining. Now that there is delay, the dmg is acceptable. Once they fix the DOT (which is ridiculous, thank goodness they've already said they're gonna fix it) it will be more acceptable.



The problem with most commandos is they ran to commando because it was accidently made grossly overpowered, and now that it has been fixed to be more of a equitable class, most commandos are crying because now they actually die every once in awhile when walking around hitting flame single two. It's sad.


Another thing that makes me sick about the whole situation is seeing commandos crying about getting killed by nests of kreetles. If you're dumb enough to use a flamethrower against a nest of kreetles, then you deserve to die. Enough said.


In the end, your class is still great and does a lot of good stuff. When flame single 2 hits it one shots in pvp over 50% of the time! Instead of crying about how it 'used' to be when your class was grossly unfair, learn to play smart and use a variety of weapons/moves in different situations. Fight in groups, and find instances where using your FT is smart. I'll give you a hint - it isn't for soloing any longer.
