A lot of great ideas, but agreed. Given that the devs consider us to be chalk full of utility, rather than outright special abilities we probably won't be seeing to much of specials anytime soon. Right now we need to focus on getting our weapons viable in all the game's situations, all our weapons usefull to a master commando (like all our grenades for instance, since each has a different type of state), and improve our damage dealing capabilities through those utilities.

Btw, this is like how a dream commando would be It seems the devs want to give commandos a challenge...pitting them with "special use" or very slow weapons, giving them no specials and all utility through weapons, or consumables, etc etc. Ahh the life of a commando it seems! If we were made to be somewhat like this, everything would be better off (although our damage definately toned down a bit...but who knows? We would lose our uniqueness too). I draw on all the communual efforts and various proposals, ideas, etc...I leave no thread unturned, even if I don't outright reply

Yes! A Rambo Commando Knife complete with a compass and spare matches in the handle. I don't know what it would be useful for, but it would be really cool.. Maybe give us a *slit throat* attack that is a massive bleed as long as we pull it off on an opponent that is not aggroed on us. Give it a big warmup timer and have it bleed 150 dmg for 20 seconds.

You had me sold with the "Bash", "Heavy Bash", and "Rage" moves...probably because I tend to fly into psychotic rages and bash things.

Specials Id like to see(since state effects are 'built into' our weapons, I figure our specials should just be be damage dealing):


1. Overload Shot (highly damaging but lowers weapon cond faster)


2. Armor Break (if its not going to be built in)


3.Bombard (hurl multiple grenades with cost of all remaining action)


4. Focus (Does not do AOE but targets an indvidual for higher damage)


5. Spray (deos not do as much damage to 1st target but raises AOE damage)


6. Elemental Boost (up elemental damage on target)



How do these sound?

i would have to pass on this one... i think all they need to do is make our guns more powerful, fix the area attacks to do better splash damage, then we are set... i am more then happy to dabble in other professions for specials

While that is what most of do think about it like this.

Say you and everyone else can only Master One Combat Profession.

Where does that leave Commando you think.

The Problem is a MC versus say just a TKM, or BH, or MR, just plains sucks.

My point is making Commando effective by itself and even better when combined with others.

Right now no one is a Commando. We all nuts using the same weapons. We have no Ablities or Skills that make us unique. We are simply a Tool Bag. And that is wrong, wrong, WRONG!

I agree I'd like to see them fix our AoEs and stuff so we could do something other then Mass Roots which is pretty lame in my opinion.
