Veers you are not adding anything to the discussion. Ivoni is just trying to keep these nerf threads to very few. There are hundreds of other post in our forums of nerf Commando and frankly it gets old after a while. I can't stand people who go to other boards and simply state that so and so class should get a nerf because of this or that. Thats stupid and waists space and real discussions get lost. I can't hardly stand coming here anymore because of people like you.

If the devs deem to adjust our damage then so be it. They can test better then any of as they have control of all the tools. So please stay off our boards and quit whining because you happen to get killed by a Commando. You don't see us going on other boards and complaning about how uber they are. We didnt do that when we sucked pre patch and we arn't going to start now.

Ivoni,

I see your argument, BUT your putting a lot of trust in a bunch of fickle liars. The devs have said one thing and done another MANY MANY times before. You may be giving the devs waaay to much credit, that they don't deserve. Your argument of why we shouldn't be nerfed is well understood here within the commando forum, but the devs don't care about balance, they care about who is bitching the loudest.

IMHO a nerf is incomming, and you problably wont get any warning.

Its sad the amount of people who dont wanna have to think to play a game personally I think ya should go play a FPS like Quake or maybe Jedi academt because when i'm in PVP I see people taking perverse pleasure in killing the Commando's with me and they are doing it well. People PVP for a challenge mate, if all classes were identical the deciding factor would be who gets the first shot in instead of thinking, ya know uaing that melon on top of ya neck.

PS Someone order some more cheese for these guys invading our board we are fast running out.

"We hybrid (Bounty Hunter + Commando) should and will be more powerful than the rest."

Finally, someone has said this. I was beginning to think that it was only I who thought this and I was an idiot for it. I think it can be said that hybrid proffesions SHOULD be more powerful than others. It takes a heck of a lot more work and skill points. Glad to know someone else feels the same way.

You know, This post just brings a smile to my face.

I thought The creature Handlers and the Rangers and the Pistoleers fought a lot.. Hehe.. Well at least every class fights.

I am not a Commando and I am not here to flame anyone or make any enemies (hehe). I will say my observation though.

I group with a commando exclusively. Its truly amazing how my class fits well with a commando for exping and doing some PVE'ing.

I have noticed a lot of things that I can see people saying "Commando's are to powerful" I truly believe that from what I'm seeing its sort of fitting that commandos are as powerful as they are. My ONLY biggest beef with SoE is that they need to bring other classes in line with the changes they have made with commando's.

If you say that you take more skill points to master a commando. I can't buy that line. Why?

We ALL get the same amount of skill points. No matter how you look at it if you spent 80 skill points on a profession (Estimated) Why would you be any more powerful then someone who spent 80 points in another profession?

I could of become a Bounty Hunter, A commando or anything I wanted to do. I am a Master Scout and actually was very close of being a Master Marksman, I decided against it and went another way to spend my ppoints. I will be a Master Ranger/Master Creature Handler though.

What I see the biggest problem with the game is that people complain about EVERY FREAKING CLASS without playing the class. Truly, I can care less if your doing 10k of damage in a shot. BUT I do expect to see changes to classes that will bring other classes up to the standard of professions. As it stands, Most of the Pistoleer line is broken. A LOT of thigns are broken in the Squad Leader area. THERE are to many broken things and I just believe for the game to survive they need to fix the problems. That to me as it stands is the most important aspect that should be examined.

Just my two cents.

And Commandos, I'm truly happy for the carrot you guys did recieve. I just feel that the carrot has to be given to other classes.

ALL classes need loving.

We sometimes seem to miss the big picture. Yes commandos do very large amounts of damage, might be able to 1 shot kill you, but they are not ultra-uber-almost-jedimasters.

In single PVP they are very strong of course, but not invincible. In large PVP battles I often get picked off by those nasty mindshots or eyeshots before im in range to do real damage. 16m is a very real limitation and if other professions do not take note use this weakness it will hurt them. We are also not as accurate as other proffesions. Ever had someone burstrun around you while shooting at you... its insane (hint hint).

Once the GCW gets on its feet we will see that commandos are an important part of it but not the only "bestest" profession. So far all I've really heard are the cries and whining of those trying to be the Biggest Baddest Sinle PK'er who took a flavor of the month profession and is sad because they changed it, nerfed it or they are otherwise no longer unstopable.

And remember we have 250 skill points, Master Commando requires 81... mix and match other professions that is what makes you a truly strong character. I am rather sure that other players who have done this respect the strength of a commando but do not fear it.

Feel free to flame me, after all this is the commando forum.

That's cool. But would be even better if more people read it. I don't know how many people in-game keep saying your profession is getting nerfed.

You should read my post. I am a commando and these are my boards.. I hate people that fill the forums with dont Nerf my profession even if its unbalanced.. I am not saying the commandos should be worse off then then others.. they should be one of the highest damage professions. I am saying that I think they do too much damage in itscurrent form and I am convinced that the designers will eventually come back and fix this. I knowI know ..someone please respond and post thelink again.

You don't see us going on other boards and complaning about how uber they are. We didnt do that when we sucked pre patch and we arn't going to start now.

Actually before the patch there was quite a bit of this. I was a CH and then a master brawler/fencer before a commando. Everyone knew that commandos were gimped back in the day because people would do this (granted I became a commando not realizing how bad it really was.. ). Just because things were screwed with them doesnt mean you should be given special treatment (the old 2 wrongs don't make a right). Having said that I also dont think that tweaking commandos 1 way or the other should be near the top of any of the designers lists.

So please stay off our boards and quit whining because you happen to get killed by a Commando.

Again these are MY boards. I may have been killed by a commando once or twice but the guy was someone I respect as a player so cant really whine about it.

I can't hardly stand coming here anymore because of people like you.

Then don't. I ain't gonna start preaching to you about grammar but this should be something like "ICANhardly stand coming here anymore because of people like you". While I have respect for Ivoni because of previous posts and some points I have no respect for you Drist. You are the one clogging the forums with stupid get off my forums my class should be uber posts. If you disagree with me then make arguments or points showing why.. dont whine about "I cant hardly come here no more"... Reading your post really makes me want to open an abortion clinic.

I think Ivoni had the right idea about stopping this earlier but I will end it at this though.. Ivoni you have made good posts in the past and I agree with you in some areas but I still think the commandos need tweaking. I dont think that debate is "invalid".

But we don't all use the skill points in the same fashion. Two people who both spend 80 skill points can be equally powerful, but not necessarily in the same way. An 80 point pistoleer will be better in combat than an 80 point dancer, but that pistoleer can't heal mind wounds or battle fatigue. An 80 point pistoleer already has much of his elite tree learned, but an 80 point commando... isn't a commando yet. A pistoleer can reach master before a commando even reaches novice. So by your own argument, a master marksman/unarmed specialist should be equally as powerful as a master pistoleer. Do you think that should be the case? So then a commando commences to burn even more skill points by rising through the commando tree, ending up spending almost twice as much as a pistoleer. Should then they be equally powerful?

People who make arguments like this want the easy road. They want all the power at half the skill cost, and all the flexibility in character development that goes with it.

I dont think that all people who argue this want the easy road.I would just like to see variety in the game. As it stands anyone that wants to win in PVP will be BH or Commando. These elite classes do take more points and more time but so much that everyone wont end up being a commando or bh if it means they will be the best in pvp. If they dont make more of a reason to do other classes then everyone will end up being one of these 2.

I believe this to be a "flaw" in the system and not due to the players. Right now the two combat classes that require the most skill points to achieve is BH and Commando. So as cookie-cutter goes, it is easy to just put those points in either of those two professions then to search for a combination that could match those professions in PvP. Now I believe with the right combination of for example, pistoleer, CH, etc. (other combat classes) you could beat a BH orCommando.A lotof us have simply not played this game long enough to develop techniques, especially in the midst of daily hotfixes involvingprofession changes.

Also because melee is so gimped in this game right now, a whole section of combat professions have been omitted for PvP contention (now this is my opinion, but I really think that few people choose melee to be uber in PvP over the funfactor reasoning). I'm starting to see many commandos myself, and a lot more BHs. But I think as this game matures further, there probably will be more combinations andmore ofa variety ofcharacters, hopefully to the point where someone can't clearly identify what a character's profession is. Not that I'm against people going straight masterBH, nothing wrong with that.

Veers, I agree with you. I do believe Commando needs to be tweaked. And I hold onto my flamethrower as tightly as the next Commando. But I really look as tweak as not just afix on flamethrowers (because I don't think damage or speed should be messed with, just make it non-melee and the firedot be heat resisted), but also a more spread out upgrade on some of the grenades and of course the HAR.

For example, I really don't know why the Devs took special resource reqs out of the heavy weapons. I had no problem with them being harder to make.I would prefer them to still include those special resource reqs andthenremove some of those components and such out of grenades. Grenadesshould be disposable in every way, easy to make, easy to use.

It will be changed because of the TEF and all the

commandos that repeatedly wound people to 1 health,

action and mind. Obviously they cant let that slide.

Either the TEF changes, or the excessive wounds change.

How come that Rifleman can kill you in 2-3 shots from 64 meters, and even db you after without any movement.
