Thread: Commando Correspondent Resignation
/salute
Also sorry to see you go, we thankyou for your efforts and persistence... Once again its a crying shame...
/salute Synn . I cant say I wasnt expecting this to happen, as this has been happening all across the correspondents. ![]()
I would like to nominate myself as the next commando correspondent. I promise I will ignore SOE devs and do nothing more than sit at home and scratch anything that itches, sign up the dev team to every spam mail list I can find on the internet, and post with non-commiting, single line responses to SOE on the correspondent boards.
' (insert 3 paragraph long SOE request for bugs, concerns and issues about the proffession)'
me: "We're broken"
In this manner I shall speak the dev's language and effectively communicate new and effective ways to get stealth nerfed.
Thank you all for your support.
I am kind of at the same point in the game as Master Synn.
I made Master Commando too soon I think. After that I started dropping entire skills trees because they were worthless and there was no sign of repair in the near future. I have played around with some Medic, CH, BH, Smuggler, and TKA. I have run missions, most were broken. I tried Holocron hunting, got sick of camping. I've been to every planet in the galaxy and tried to run out to all the Points of Interest, Imperial stuff at least. At this point I am starting to run out of stuff that interests me. The only reason mounts interest me is hopefully I will be more inspired to explore more now that it won't take 20 minutes just to get there. So far the dungeons I have explored sucked. The missions that weren't broken have been boring. People may disagree with me but I just don't see the real content in the game.
Add on top of all that the fact that it just doesn't seem like my main profession, the class I picked a year prior to release, will ever be usable. The devs don't communicate with anyone even our chosen delegate. In my opinion if they choose another correspondent other that Ivoni it truly shows they are now paying attention to what we all want. I think Master Synn did a great job during his term. I thought his posts were well structured and clear as to what the community wanted. I am sorry he is leaving and especially for the reasons he is leaving.
I have decided that I will give SOE the benefit of the doubt. I will give them one more patch. The last patch was so completely hosed that I think it broke more than it fixed. If this patch release has similar results I think I will reactivate my DAoC account and go play Trials of Atlantis for a few weeks. I'll keep my SWG account in the hopes that it improves.
I am sorry to see you go Synn. I and i believe everyone knows you did your best and tried to at least get answers.
Ivoni are you still a Master Commando? If so I am sure you will get the job. If not I am willing to bet they will not pick you which is a shame.
/salute
You gave it your all, and thats all any one could ask of you. I wish you well in your future endeavors.
Thanks for all your work Synn. I too have thought about doing the correspondent thing, but I just have something against sony getting my free time. Its worth too much hehe. I for one will miss ya as a correspondent. That said.....
Ivoni for Governor!
MasterSynn,
Sorry to see you go...thank you for all of your hard work!
I'm no Commando, but sorry to see you go all the same. It's hard to find people willing to volunteer their time to fight hopeless battles against enemies with no faces. DEVS=100% resists to common sense.
Anyhow, the BH correspondant resigned too....um, but I guess they are used to their correspondants dropping like flies.
I think the sad truth is that aside from Development being understaffed, they want correspondants to find the problems that they are being paid to find. They jot down all the issues listed in the "State of the Profession" posts and add it to their list of "To Do's" Communicating back to use is of little priority since they are just using the correspondants and us as a community to fix their broken "released too soon" cash cow.
Anyhoo, enough ranting. I just hate to see good people go.
Let it remain broken...they are still paying for it.
