I've been solo grouping Dathomir for Enraged Rancor Missions. I will use my DXR6-B (I'm also M Rifleman) until I cap out on Rifle XP.
Then I will roam around looking for NS and SMC slaves and take them out with my grenades. 2 protons per slave usually does it, and you can usually get them grouped.
I will do this until my buffs run out. I ususally end up with about 150k combat with 900000k rifle from one buff session.
Its just more cost effective than using all grenades... especially since the rancor missions pay out 39k.

All Heavy Weapon SEA's are bugged, but will supposedly be fixed with the Revamp (when we revert back to using those type of mods)...Grenade Experimentation also use to be ours, but when we lost the ability to make our own grenades, those stopped working as well...
Thrown WeaponSEAs do still work though...so we can use those...although truthfully (and some may argue this) I've got +25 worth on my Master Commando on TC and I really haven't noticed ahuge difference...

there is no huge difference from what I have seen on Test..and no difference with speed powerups....grenades are just generally borked

I wont have much trouble finding grenades my other toon is on way to bieng a WS so i think i may concentrate on getting him to master n then doin the jedi wi a ready supply of protons hehe

Well its conveinent that i have a master ws and master tka/smuggler/pistoleer.. i think ill drop some pistoleer and try this out.

Ok...silly question. Im fairly new to Commando...but WHY does our fireDOT count against us?

I'm not 100% sure why the fire DoT counts against us, but my theory is as follows. The experience gained by a person from killing a mob is based on the amount of damage done by that person. Test this out by killing anything with 2 people, and you'll notice the one who does more damage gets more exp. The fire DoT's damage isn't specifically attributed to the person who caused it, so if you did 5k dmg from the initial attack, and then an additional 5k as you watched the mob burn (you sadist), the server would only see you as having done 5k damage out of the 10k HAM the mob had. When it dies, you get reduced experience because you didn't do all of the damage that killed the mob. Just a theory though.

Yeah...good point, but I dont see why the DOT wouldnt be applied to the person's damage rather than "general" damage. I mean hell...it was still caused by the commando.

Hi there ... am TKM/master rifle and I ve just learned the trick about C12 grenades ... I ve just tried it with the advices about reducing the lair to 50% then FD, I must say that it beats everything I tried so far making XP, xept beeing alone in squill cave as TKM where I can make 900k xp in 30 ish minutes ... grnades is just as good 
somehow for you , its a pity I can make 90k combat xp every20 minutes w/O even beeing commando ...
