Oh boy, Garvin's last post has me more confused. The article seems to indicate that there will be a tactical strategy to choosing armor, but Garvin's last post seems to indicate that only certain professions can wear certain armor.
Need clarification!

only certain professions can wear certain armor without penalty
Th Said:
- We would like to distinguish combat roles through armor appearances by the use of various hindrances and profession skill modifiers that mitigate those hindrances

So there are just penalties, but you can still wear them? Sorry to get repetitive, its just I would love just to wear the rebel battle armor around out of combat since IMO it looks so cool, but will ultimately wear the assault for fighting. Thanks.

hmm.... my next question is, say I'm a fencer/BH, and I'm certed for type a armor from fencer and type b armor from BH, do I run into problem while wearing type a armor and using an LLC?seems that unless they revert back to the no delay switch between armor and weapons, this could cause problems. Fights are often very fluid, esp large battles, often the best time to gain ground is to take it right after the enemy has attacked you and been thrown back, before they can get reorganized and lick there wounds.

I never said that...I said that we are all just assuming that all armor types will be wearable by everyone...I'm just mainly stiring up trouble to get discussion and thought processes stirring...I'm mainly hoping to assist you all in coming up with good questions to respond back to the devs with...don't take my teasing to seriously...
Think about it this way...if they reallyout to make weakingarmor more strategic, what other "surprises" do you think they might not be sharing yet...These are my thoughts/pushes to get you all to ask the right questions back to TH and the gang hoping he spills some more of the cool beans...

I agree with Braven...choosing the professions is tactical right there...
Anyone remember when Garvin used to say how after the CURB, of a 250-pt commando (an effective one...atm Im a 250 pt commando, with skills from other professions picked here and there to supple MC, Im not a Master Pistoleer nor TKM, rather "shopping" for defenses and specials from those two profs) can "shop" and pick other skills from other professions to aguement Commando?
Well, my friends, thats all Tactical & Practical right there
