From what I'm reading, it doesn't seem like Faraed is telling you guys not to do anything. In fact, I doubt if he has any qualms about you 2 just giving up.

It does seem that YOU are trying to tell HIM not to try and help in any way he can, and to not become a correspondent.

We're telling him he's not leadership material. He's full of hot air. Someone who wanted to help would say "OK, I want to help, and THIS is EXACTLY how I plan on going about it." Has he provided us with proof that he will do this? No. Also, you could say that he failed a test of sorts to see if he has the people skills to handle the job. Well, the results speak for themselves.

Exactly. My point about Garibaldi never asking for the job was just that. He didnt come on here and post Hey I think I'll make a good leader plz make me the corespondent and blah blah blah. He simply posted very intelligent thoughts, ideas and concerns about the profession. I true leader doesnt need to mouth off his how great he is...he simply proves it.Then again this is only a game and Garibaldi attempted to relay all our thoughts and concerns to the devs. They choose not to listen and most of the commandos feel like we are ingored and most of the other profession feels the same way about commandos. This is not opinion, this is fact.

If I saw someone who attempted to post their thoughts and concerns about commandos much like Garibaldi did, I perhaps would change my opinion and say hey we should support this guy and maybe he can become the next corespondent, But this guy Faraed didnt do that. He came on in an attempt for self gratification and announced he wants the corespondent job like he is some politician running for office telling us how great he is. We do not need a self-indulgent person being our corespondent, thats why Im not interested in it. We need someone who is willing to put forth their ideas without patting themself on the back while doing so. Till someone like that shows himself, I simply do no think we need another corespondent.

So the devs didnt listen to Garibaldi, maybe some different action needs to be taken. For example............................

A lot (is that better?) of people are concerned about the state of this game in general. People are concerned about the economy, continuity, difficulty level, content, etc. Every profession in this game has a correspondent, and he does his job not because he is concerned about his class and his class only. Maybe there is a way we could "pool" these correspondents so to speak, get them to work together. If the devs wont listen to 1, maybe they will listen to 5, or 10 complaining about the same issues. Correspondents working together.

So the commando correspondent gets some help from the other correspondents in raising issues in his class to the devs. In return he later helps the correspondents from those other classes raise their issues to the devs. It may be a long shot, but atleast its an idea that may work. I believe that anyone doing that job honestly and wholeheartedly wants to help, and not because hes greedy or self richteous (its not like hes gettin paid, or going to get a job, or going to achieve any real life reward) but because some people honestly want to help make things better.

I see all over the boards that people sympathize for the commandos, even the guys from other classes. Im sure the pistoleer correspondent wouldnt mind getting their new skills of duel wielding pistols and holstering pistols on hold for a little bit if it would help the commandos get some attention. And after commando is fixed to a playable scale, im sure the commando correspondent wouldnt mind putting some small stuff on hold to help another borked class get an improvement. But we cant have this "everyone for themselves mentality." This is US vs THE DEVS.

Have you seen what some of the other corespondents are posting? Some like th BH one is posting jokes making fun of the devs.

If you are adamit about wanting to fix the commandos and think we need a corespondent, I'll change my opinion and say sure why not. And if you truely do care more about the profession and not yourself, then simply indorse someone else and not yourself. From what you have posted I would prefer to have someone other then you personally. I do no think you take criticism well and only after I called you on your comments which were posted in a defensive or angry fashion did you change your attitude.

So sure lets have a new corespondent as long as you step back and endorse someone else. If you really do care more about the profession and not your own intentions then I'm all for someone else being corespondent.

Yeah well, they can continue ranting and raving on me all they want. They proved their true colors when they attacked me to begin with for just trying to help. Im still going to work on this, regardless of their thoughts. I have nothing against them, if they honestly want to help and can consider stopping the flaming their help with these problems would be greatly appreciated by everyone whos concerned with this class. If they dont want to stop flaming, so be it. They wont deter me from trying to shed some light here.

Take it easy guys...great you think we dont need a correspondant to make our class better, but you can never tell ANYONE they cannot do something, cause they might just come back and slap you in the ass...

Never said Faraed couldnt do something. I simply said I didnt think there was a need for a new corespondent unless they devs starting listening to one. And that I thought Faraed was attempting to post how great he is in an attempt for self gratification.

If the majority of the commandos would rather have a new corespondent than I'm all for it. I just don't see a need for one untill the devs act like they care though.

We have nothing to prove. We don't want the job. We can act in any manner we see fit as it doesn't matter.

For you, however, your actions do matter. You blew it, make a new account.

Also, I did address the issue, like I said previously.

Thank you dopkick and cel for speaking on behalf of the commando community and deciding for the hundreds of commandos out there we're not willing to give anyone a chance. You guys are upset about the current situation, we all are, but you guys are purposefully provoking this guy who is simply trying to help this class. I may not think he's the right guy for the job since I haven't seen his involvement in the community, but that doesn't mean I'm going to dismiss him and rip him to shreds because of everything going on now with our class.

I simply don't see the hot air, or the sucking up to SoE on behalf of him. He simply seems like someone trying to step up to the plate to get the spot - However, I think the spot should go to someone more involved and who has already proved himself before the loss of our current correspondent, instead of proving afterwards. But the fact is, we're going to have to get a new correspondent soon - and despite your thoughts that they're useless, they ar the best shot we have at changing this class. After proving their ignorance on the last response, and the backlash of the community, they're going to have no choice but to get it together.

There are hundreds of commandos server-wide, and only a small minority of them are on this message board. It's our responsibility here to speak for all those commandos who will continue to play, not just ourselves and our short-sighted politics and anger against SoE and the developers.

I have the same feelings you do towards this development team, I think they have been nothing but disrespectful towards the entire community of players, and showed extreme ignorance in their response this afternoon to our issues. That does not mean we should protest the correspondent program or give up - personally, I've canceled and will not be renewing come August 27th unless we see an attitude change in the development team, and some progress through communication and live results. I'm willing to wait it out as long as I have trust and faith in the development team - something they have tarnished in my opinion, something they have to earn back.

However, this board represents commando issues for every player who plays SW:G, therefore, it's necessary to bring these issues up the best way we can and try to get the class fixed instead of moping about about losing our correspondent. He went down by trying to fix this class, he did the best thing he coulddo to bring awareness to this issue, now it's OUR job to pick up and carry on what he gave us.

I think most would agree by banding together and saying we don't want a new coorispondant until the problems put forth by our previous and very capeable coorispondant have been answered will put out a strong vibe.

Well celtic, you can not like me all you want but im still going to work on picking up where garibaldi left off. You dont have to support me, or accept me but until someone else gets appointed im atleast going to try.

And it wasnt your words that caused my change in direction. With 2 of you flaming me at once, I didnt have the time nor the desire to read and react to each and every one of your posts. I simply changed direction because im an adult and realized how childish it was to keep the conversation going in a direction that wasnt going to get anything accomplished. Think what you want about me, but if you dont want to help, what do you want to do?

Personally, I came here to help, not flame. And tomorrow ill begin seeing what I can do. I promise to atleast try, if I fail, then I fail, but atleast someone is trying.

And you will give up once you realize that the most dedicated effort to try to fix this profession are as productive as spam and flames.

Dude it wasnt a flame is was a simple observation of your oringal post and you started flaming dopkick and began to get all defensive. I truely do not care what you think my "true colors" are lol. I never asked to be corespondent nor have I asked for your approval. And I will continue to voice my concerns and thoughts about the commando profession whether they are postitive or negative.

I am trying to figure out exactly what light your trying to shed. Last time I checked **edit** near everything about the profession that is broken has been said and million suggestions have been laid out. And as you stated the devs obviously do not read these forums nor do they read every email, so what exactly are you trying to point out that nobody else has already attempted to point out. I have yet to see ANY kind of ideas from you thats original other then saying rally all the toher corespondents together which in no way is a suggestion in how to fix the commando profession in any way shape or form.
