I'm beginning to think the devs truely want people to quit. I just cant see any other logical reason forthem doing 99% of the things the have done, and the things they have planned. Maybe they want a 100% Jedi game? Why else would they nerf the hell out of everyone else, ignore the bugs & broken stuff from the main 35 classes for 6+ months just to turn around and slap EVERYONE in the face with a nifty change to the Jedi permadeath issue and at the same time announce the total revamp of the jediclass whilethe main classes are stuck still broken.
Keep it up Sony, pretty soon all your going to have playing is the power gamers that got their jedi slots open before the holonerf. You are taking away the only way to control the jedi population, you opt to nerf classes vice truely using insight & listening to the community and fixing them because you are so busy nerfing classes and fixing jedi. The game still lacks major content after 6+ months. I played EQ beta for 4 years, I refuse to continue playing SWG beta for even a fraction of that time. Maybe the upcoming publish will address some of the issues, but I doubt that any changes to the mainstay classes other then some possibly class breaking changes will happen.
/waits for the WoW beta selections

I give them until the end of this so called combat rebalancing over the next few patches. From there I want to see this profession working, and them to be finished with nerfing ANY profession at all. I want them to make their bed and lie in it so...
SO Devs, if your listening, you better do it right and be done with it!
We are coming up on a year of the games release pretty fast and no profession has been stable so going to another profession wont solve my problems, I will just leave the game.
I was a UO player and theirs a new one coming soon so that will be my new game if things dont settle down around here.

I believe your looking at publish 6 and the patch that really is going to effect us is publish 7.

There's fire resistant chef foods coming out as well, along with one that prevents a good portion of the damage from heavy up-front attacks.

So, we're whining about changes to Commando as relates exclusively to PvP then? For a while you had me worried that my new favorite profession was being taken from me, but since PvP is the most broken part of this game, I avoid it. We shall still retain the same capabilities in PvE combat, yes? That's all I'm really concerned about, PvP isn't my cup of tea so if I can still go lighting up mobs with impunity I'll be quite happy for a long time to come.

I'm dropping this GAME because of this next publish. Commando is the only profession I ever had any interest in, and now it's completely useless.
I'll be back after the big combat revamp thing, so ee how things are then, and hopefully they will be better. Anyway, bye /cry.

A. It's not whining... it's constructive criticism.
B. DoT's of the same type no longer stack = only one type of flame DoT can be applied at a time on high HAM NPC's

After the last battle I had...I'll be a commando for a while.
2 or so of us vs 4 Imps
TKM= flamesingle2/db
(at this point my ally falls over)
Master Commando= flamesingle2/db
Combat Medic= flamesingle2/db
Master Carbineer= TEFed me (I had 1 Mind from Combat Medic) flamesingle2/db
It was an intense battle...took place within ~25 seconds

Were any of them wearing armor? Last time I tried that I got killed within 5 seconds of engaging.

Defense stacking may get removed in the next patch, this will somewhat nerf all combat professions

Ah, so now DoT won't stack as well and that is gonna "hit us hard"? Hmm, won't affect me in the slightest...I don't stack DoTssince there're not meant to stack, it feels dirty, and is generally a cheap tactic. Anything else you can whip out about this patch that's gonna actually effect those of use who play PvE and play it as it was meant to be played instead of exploiting things that shouldn't have worked from day 1?
