Thread: Ok so its Simi-good news..... (Master Rocket Launcher......)
The damage range on this is fine, the weapon's range and damage types are not.
This thing is alot like the specials they gave us. Great to know it's in game, but needs work.
I also really despise the idea that yet another master level commando weapon is going to be dropped off a mob as a random loot that it will take a group of templated jedi to kill. This means one of two things for the commando that wants one. You either know 7 fully templated jedi that are willing to kill this high end mob with/for youuntil you get one, or, you are going to pay through the nose for this thing from one of the loot mongering jedi on your server. The first option isn't so bad, since group hunts on high end mobs are fun, but it really doesn't work for most players since trying to coordinate this type of group for even one outing is tough enough, let alone multiple attempts to get something no one else is going to want. That leaves the vast majority falling under case #2, and that stinks.

Made a post about this regarding the low damage/seemingly no KD/ranged type in the Corro forums. I agree fully with you guys; I think they tried to make this as a "fast & low cost" weapon to supplement our "slow & costly" weapons, but we really want a powerful & damaging rocket launcher, and the damage to reflect our slow and heavy costs. Especially since our specials themselves reflect this, and would not do a "fast & low-cost" weapon any justice.

Agreed, we need kinetic, w/ innate KD and w/ great damage. The rocket launcher and the PFT are the 1st and 2nd reasons I became a commando. I actually miss grinding w/ my RL. I think it's one of the coolest looking weapons in game, most of are weapons are the coolest looking in game. So give us what were asking for damage and various ways to implement this damage w/ our favorite weapons at the master lvl. We are damage dealers aren't we. Listen Helios all we want is the lvl 22 RL w/ master lvl damage and please stop making master lvl commando weapons uncraftable. It's very unfair to the our profession and theweaponsmiths that make our weapons.

Plus, an awful amount of our higher level single target weapons are all loot items (drops), we need a way to get some better and more mainstream non-AoE master weapons out there.
I tried to post this yesterday, but the forums were bugging on me.
What the heck is up with that thing? It's got the range and damage of a handgun, it can't be modded at alland it doesn't KD. I would NEVER use that. That's a big launcher pistol, not a rocket launcher. We need a RL that actually lives up to its name and has an innate KD effect. This isn't even to begin mentioining that I've bought laser carbines with higher base DPS. The sole redeeming value of that gun is the SAC.
Thismakes me think - was this supposed to be a master level launcher pistol but they messed up the model/name? Might be something to ask the devs. If this isn't a pistol, the 35m range really needs to be fixed, at the very least.
A master level RL should have damage greater than the PFT, probably even the proton rifle, 64m range, and innate KD (with traditional heavy SAC cost to justify it's power).

It is quite honestly not all that. I am a master rifleman and my sliced PUd ALR, or Tranny rifle is better with speed and SAC.
Dont freak guys lets concentrate on the issue at hand our weapons still are in need of some WS Viagra.
