I can't wait till we can ride griffons while viewing the beautiful landscape making up the World of Warcraft. Just remember you can only fly 0 meters off the ground by design.

LOL Survey Says eat me...that's great. Anyway I am clse to being a Commando and I was hoping at least some of these issues would be worked out by the time I got there, but I guess not. It would appear as if the devs are oblivious to the cries of the many people hoping for this severely broken profession to be fixed, but I don't think calling them idiots and stupid and all that is going to help. As I said, I am not a Commando yet and I'm sure I don't know how frustating it is, but if the devs think we are all just a bunch of whiny kids, they won't be much incliined to help. Meh, that's just my two cents.

Uhm Q, why the hell would ideal range be 0 for Flamethrower and Launcher Pistol. I hope you realize that you would be blown to bits firing a launcher pistol point blank and fried to a crisp with Flamethrower point blank. The weapons still suck and now the launcher pistol fires from the group 20m ahead of the barrel. Nice effects. Probably the same ass clown that designed the light lightning cannon effects that come from the ground instead of the muzzle. Great job

PLAYER RESPONSE to Commando Design...

Dear Devs,

I agree with just about everything you said except the most glaringly obvious...

Heavy Weapons meantto be extreme close range weapons!

As you can see, Devs, Q... We don't agree. I'm sure you can see this thread has been bumped all the way up for yourgreat enjoyment. Please read and meditate on my modest proprosal...

Since you are so adamant in maintaining heavy weapons with zero ideal range you should do the following, Devs...

... Change the graphics in the next available patch so that all the heavy weapons become some sort of melee weapon... But nothing long than a short sword since that would allow an ideal range of 1 or beyond. In your brilliance, Devs, these ranged weapons are nothing short of ridiculously stupid. Why use them? Why even be a commando?

Now, I know what you're thinking: I shall defend my position because we Devs, in our wisdom, sought to create a powerful weapon that is supposed to be inaccurate because they are "heavy weapons," and they're supposed to be that way... On what planet? Jupiter? I would assume that heavy weapons in the Star Wars Galaxy work very similar to heavy weapons in the real world, Devs. Sooo...

1. A grenade launcher, sure, is not used against single targets, but because of their extremely high blast radius, they are effective instruments of death. They have a long range, and, if rocket propelled, can punch through armor a bit. The key here is that they are grenades. Big radius. Flying shrapnel can knock you outta commission from many yards away.... Not to mention the concussive force that would rebound upon the victims in an enclosed space--but sadly, we shall not include such physics. At least give rocket launchers and grenades a bigger radius... And really good damage. Frankly, they should do more than any single shot of the best rifle--three times that, even! I.e., these weapons must hit multiple targets!

2. LMG's--ala "Animal Mother" and Duke Nukem--are highly inaccurate--after the first shot! First shot? Oh, there's a key here... It's a rapid-fire machine gun! Yes! Inaccurate! But not that inacccurate! Ideal range of 0? Yeah, right. The key, like I said, is the rapid-fire: By getting in more shots, there is a better chance of hittin the target. In the real world, anything in the strafe arc is toast. So how do we simulate that? Well, Devs, you can start by bringing ideal range to at least 10 or 15 meters: I can handle that. Then, give the weapon arc fire--a special area-effect weapon. Anything caught in the arc suffers the possibility of damage--but with high variation... It could be something like the laser rifles. However, increase the rate of fire, and voila! Now you have a decent weapon. The trade-off is, of course, that you have to be so close: and so as soon as you fire, any mob will see you right away and close for melee. But the idea is that any commando should be able to cut down the mob to size before they can do significant melee damage. I.e., these weapons must hit multiple targets!

3. Heavy weapons--including flamethrowers--that can do continuous damge (or have a high ROF, as suggested above) should have a definite automatic fear factor like the warning shot. It should drive most mobs to running rather than approaching.

4. Heavy weapons should have a special move called "covering fire" that force mobs into lowered position with a high chance of success. It's what LMG's are designed to do best. Could the beam be used like a modern day LMG? More than likely.

5. Acid rifles and flamethrowers should never-ending dot. Period. Nuff said. If you're on fire, being eaten by acid, tough. You should see a medic for special treatment or continue to burn to death. Otherwise, these wapons are just silly cuz they ain't worth using withoutthe special moves--which aren't supposed to be the default attack, remember?

And so what are the Devs thinking? Unbalanced? Hardly. If you're quivering in your pants about other players screaming bloody murder about overpowered commandos, try this suggestion on for size: Make movement reduce accuracy of heavy weapons significantly. Something like a -25 or 30 might do nicely. Also, increase, damage to melee and ranged attacks. Voila! Thecommando you REALLY envisioned but didn't know it.

Those are my two creds. Devs, we are not pleased. Give us a frickin bone here!

... Unless you plan to make chefs worth playing! Did I type that out loud?

its not like i can get exp anyways. i cant solo expbecause i cant damage anything and cant take hits for anything. cant get group exp for same reason. why the hell would a little pistol do more damage than a godamned rocket launcher of acid spewing cannons, especially at o,o range. i mean is this just lacking common sense. i think so.

Bounty Hunter here who's sad about his class being nerf'd, but even sadder about your class being fed a bunch of bunk. At least I can partially function.

Why is it that the two classes that require the most effort to obtain, are the two weakest ranged classes now?

In case you guys don't read the BH boards, knockdown costs for BH Carbine knockdowns went from around 80-90 to 180-250 depending on your secondary stats. So while you can't do any damage to anything with your specials, we kill ourselves with ours.

I tried to rename a pet to BHAndCmndoGotScrewed, but I'm having trouble getting the new name to stick. Hopefully it'll work soon so I can have a little bantha following me around for free advertising.

Im not even a commando, but the people responsible for designing the Commando's are clearly ignorant fools. It doesn't matter what they think, they have thousands of people telling them theirdesign iswrong and how to make it right, they need to listen to people andchange things.

Drashen, unfortunately most people on these boards speak English, so if you want to be understood, I suggest rewriting your post in said English.

Bad grammar aside, I'm glad I dropped Commando when I did. However, I am not glad that after switching to Teras Kasi (hearing that a TKA could own a Commando anyday) and FINALLY earning unarmed knockdown after DAYS of straight XPing all alone in the deserts of Tatooine (and dying many, many times in the process), I wake up the next day to find that my Unarmed knockdown takes over 700 HAM to use. "Wow," I thought. "Screwed again!"

"But wait! I have an idea! Why don't I just unequip my knucklers whenever I want to use knockdown, and equip them again after I perform the move? There we go, a creature to try this out on...
That's odd. By the time I equipped my knucklers again after using knockdown, the creature was already back on its feet and killing me! Hurrah!"

This will be my last month with this game, and I'll be sure to spend my remaining days to inform all players, old and new, how much this game completely sucks... Absolutely NOTHING to do in this game besides master your profession, which will now take months to do assuming you weren't one of the thousands that chose pistoleer. Missions are retarded. What happened to missions being FUN as well as rewarding? They decided to take out the FUN part, essentially taking out any purpose to playing at all, and left us with credits for a reward. But wait! They didn't stop there! Now missions give such low credits that you can make more money whoring yourself out disguised as a woman to horny little boys! "Screw missions", they say! Why give the game depth when you cansimply NOT give the game depth! Lets make the only purpose of playing the game the unfun task of going out for hours at a time, CLICKING ATTACK, AND LETTING THE GAME DO THE KILLING FOR YOU. WHAT THE HELL KIND OF FUN IS THAT?

Ahem, seriously though. Screw you.
