Heh I like that... in the EU flamethrowers are designed you have to be pointing that pilot light directly into your enemy's arse and pulling the trigger to be "accurate"?. Since when the hell was a flamethrower an accuracy weapon, that's like giving a shotgun a scope and a laser sight./sigh

I've been trying to get my friends to buy this game, but how am I supposed to justify theABUSE you hand out to a section of the comunity becuase you apparently don't feel likefixing something that's OBVIOUSLY broken.

Well thats it fro me, I am ditching commando, extremely short range weapons... Ill stick with brawler, thanks man, I wasted time and XP LOL, i am glad I was going for novice fencer anyways, now thats a close range weapon.

so..........

after testing my acid rifle, which i had been "qualified" for now for some 3 weeks but could only use today, i was mauled by TWO light blue wamp rats...... /sigh

sitting there incap looking at the blue tant sky, i asked my self why do i abuse my self so?

after this humiliating defeat i then joined my friend over at the tuskan fort outside of mos espa. there where a ton of pistoleers, some carbine peeps, and sever swordsmen......

i follow this one master heavy swordsman and decide to use my heavy weapons as inteneded, right up the tuskans ass.

so, sitting there with3 heavy combat support, which should make my pointblank only rocket launcher kick ass, i pound off a round and then begin to wait for the refresh

135....115.....320 WOOT!

then to my complete amazment the swordsman turns around and in one attack deals 4k dmg (2x2000 stokes it looked like)

now, at this point the 2 other mobs that where near my target jump me (still waiting for the refresh as i switched to launcher pistol) and i die...

as i lay there that swordsman, in less time then those mobs could tun on him, has them all on the ground dead next to me...

sitting there, dead, eyes facing the blue skies of tant i had to ask myself **edit** are the devs thinking?

even using these PLO find a bus of tuskans run in with a nuke strapped to my chest tactics i am forced to due to your "working as intended" crap i still could not do as much dmg as a hunk of metal and i WAS at close range

to add to my shame, a sword did nearly 800x the damage as me.

now i am not bitching for the sake of reading my crap on a msg board. all i would like is for you guys to sit down and write up for us what a commando is? are we close combat support? are we ranged suppression or designed to attack hard targets? are we light mobile infantry with the ability to bring large amounts of fire power in a shot amount of time?

WHAT THE HELL ARE WE?

or are you guys happy you got our money and are content to just sit there and say "you are broken accept it YOU ARE IN OUR WORLD NOW!"

D's (im not saying the whole word like would originally cause you guys dont even get the dam privelidge to be called a Developer you guys are nothing but a D dont even have the "eveloper cause obviously you have shown you dont know what it means to Develope something with have decent quality) ill tell you the truth i never flame and even when i get real angry i dont but this is the worst post i have EVER written even to ppl that insulted me cause you guys have made me so dam angry i cant believe it i've worked so hard DEVELOPING my character (you know working on my character like making decent changes something you guys seem not to be familar with) to Novice CH,Droid Engineer, Commando and i qualify for about 5 other things and then find out how bad the professions i wanted to be so much. and noo i cant even cancel my accout and take a break from this terrible game is actually keep my money and have my toon stored no you guys have to be greedy lil b****s and say your toon will be deleted in 5 days when you were dumb enough to nerf dungeons cause ppl spent time there what else are dungeons for? i cant even find a decent place to level cause you guys nerfed everything so we cant so we have to level off gnorts. ive never been so angry from a game ever and ive never resorted into flaming butyou guys suck major ***! you can mod me i dont care wake up and get your heads outa your asses and actually do some work i have to work everyday in school and stuff and i hate it but i suck it up you guys are lucky to have jobs where you get to work with games i dont know about you but i love Video Games and id love to get a job making them in such but if you guys dont like it Give it to someone who will actually do the work guys are nothing but greedy,lazy men who are inconsiderate.

Yeah Q...nice one...rocket launchers are intended to be extremely close range weapons...cuz GOD KNOWS IT'S JUST A GREAT F'N IDEA TO USE HIGH EXPLOSIVES AT CLOSE RANGE. Honestly, what are you smoking? Have you played a commando ever? They are an effin joke, seriously.

I had to stop reading after the first 7 pages, but i just wanted to add my sympathy. I thought TKA's got messed up bad (well actually they did) but geez.. you guess ought to get a special badge for this one.

Heavy Weapons short range?!.. i could somewhat understand it if they decided to make heavy weapons short range as in 20m or so.. might not fit the real world but oh wel.. but 0m?!.. Commando Heavy weapons have a lower ideal range than a person with no weapon at (unarmed/TKA's at 2m i think) all for crying out loud!

I hope someone in SOE rethinks this very soon

Ok, here's the perspective of an Army Infantry vet. My M.O.S was 11B1PC2- or Airborne Infantry Dragon Gunner. I carried an M-42 medium range, wire guided missle launcher. My minimum firing range was 100m, and the max was arond 1000 meters. At max range I was a sitting duck w/ a big smoke cloud in the backblast area behind me while I tracked the missle (which were incidently older than I was at the time) for up to 11 or so seconds. 11 seconds is a long time when all anyone has to do is spray some rounds your way and make you eat dirt, as the wire-guided missle does the same.

Ok, I can understand- even EXPECT a very slow rate of fire. But damned if I wasnt' long range and packed a HELL of a lot more damage than a handgun- much less a rifle. 0.0m for an ideal range is for..what? so the explosion is in our faces, and we can't see the aggro adds around us for the light show blinding us? I'm so done with commando, that it hurts. Granted, I'm sure levying taxes and campaigning for votes is WAY more fun in your sick little universe. I've read most of the Star Wars novels. Go on- guess how many were about the politicians vs the commandos / pilots / smugglers / bounty hunters? Whatever your guess is, judging by your actions, you are wrong.

Take your nerfed commando class, and stick it where the sun doesn't shine.

THE MIGHTY COMMANDO STRONG AND PROUD. ALTHOUGH IN THE WORLD OF STAR WARS THEY HAVE THE ABILITY TO DIE TO A PACK OF CRAZED DURNI'S (ITS TRUE IT HAPPENED TO ME) OR WAIT 30 MINUTES TO MAKE SURE ALL THE DURNI'S ARE DONE SPAWNING. WHERE WHEN I WAS USING A SCOUT BLASTER IT TOOK ME ABOUT A MINUTE TO COMPLETE THE MISSION.

IT APPEARS THAT THE TRUE COMMANDO OF THIS GAME IS THE PISTOLEER. WITH RECENT UPDATES MY CHARACTER'S SPECIAL ATTACK CAN DO ABOUT 500 DAMAGE (AT BEST)AND THEN A 12 SECOND RECYCLE. WHILE THE PISTOL'S BODY SHOT CAN DO AT LEAST THE SAME DAMAGE (500) WHILE IN THE SAME 12 SECONDS THEY CAN GET OFF 5-6 SHOTS. IT APPEARS THAT TO DUEL A PISTOLEER (OR BOUNTY HUNTER/PISTOLEER) YOU NEED AT LEAST 3000 HEALTH OR A GREAT DEAL OF LUCK.

MAYBE THAT SHOULD BE A NEW STAT FOR COMMANDO'S "LUCK." AS FOR ME I AM DONE WITH THIS GAME. MAYBE I WILL START PLAYING AGAIN IN A YEAR OR TWO WHEN THE DIVERSE WORLD OF STAR WARS IS MORE.... DIVERSE... INSTEAD OF 3000 PISTOLEERS RUNNING AROUND KILLING EVERYONE.

What else is new, took them 4 weeks and our Correspondant quitting for us to get a response in the first place. Probably not going to get a Dev response again because they're starting to realize that we're not going to believe that this is the way it was 'meant to be'. What remains to be seen though, is whether or not we're going to get a fix in the coming patches.
